On the arena, a young man with handsome features stood, being exhausted after the tournament.
The young man`s name was Lin Yu and he was currently taking part in the tournament of young geniuses.
The final stage of the tournament actually came to an end. The winner was obviously Lin Yu.
As Lin Yu was taking preparations to walk to the entrance of the large arena, the youth behind him suddenly took dangerous actions.
" No, it is impossible, I can`t be defeated by a guy that I have never heard of " muttered the youth behind Lin Yu with jealousy and anger.
The youth took his sword from the ground and unexpectedly attacked Lin Yu. His slash was as fast as lightning, and it was going to hit Li Yu`s back. If attack successfully hit Lin Yu, his life can be in danger.
Lin Yu, whose cultivation level is at the early stage of Foundation Establishment stage sensed the upcoming danger. But when he looked back, the sword was already in front of him. He couldn`t believe that this youth was shameless and ruthless.
The crowd who was enjoying the tournament noticed the sudden attack that was done by the youth. Everybody became worried about the safety of Lin Yu as he showed his potential of becoming a strong cultivator in the future.
The elder who was monitoring the tournament was enraged and called out the name of the youth:
" Feng Huo! Stop right there! " - even though his voice was domineering and scary, youth did not stop, accurately speaking, he could not stop the slash even if he wanted to.
But at that time, the sword which was on the Lin Yu`s back suddenly moved on its own and clashed against the edge of Feng Huo`s sword.
Acting quickly, Lin Yu`s fingers griped the hilt of the sword like nothing happened.
Many people didn`t even realize that the sword moved on its own.
Seeing that nothing happened to Lin Yu, Feng Huo was flustered.
The elder came down to the arena quickly and scolded Feng Huo.
" You damn brat! Did you even think about you could harm somebody and make their life in danger? " - The elder angrily glared towards the youth. However, looking at the unharmed Lin Yu, he could not help but be amazed.
' This youngster... really talented '
" Please forgive Feng Huo, he was just reckless. I will definitely make sure to compensate this. Oh! By the way are you a loose cultivator? If you are, could you maybe join our Huo Family? " - the elder of Huo Family asked Lin Yu to join his Family, as his talent was monstrous. But he already knew that this talented youngster should already have a master.
Knowing that this city belonged to Huo family and this Feng Huo was the direct bloodline of Huo family, Lin Yu knew he couldn`t do anything to him, thus chose to maintain his smile and reject elder`s offer politely.
" Thanks for your kind intentions elder! But sadly, I already have a master."
" Alas, alas..." - the elder seemed disappointed but he could do nothing about it.
" If so, let`s conclude the final stage of the tournament. I announce that Lin Yu who is in the early stage of Foundation Establishment, to be the winner of our Hou Family`s younger generation tournament. As following the rules, he will be given a hundred-year-old ginseng! " - elder made his announcement clear and loud so everybody could hear it.
At that time, the crowd began to discuss the winner of the tournament.
" I thought somebody from the Huo Family was going to win but..."
" Yes, I also thought like that, but this youngster seems to be even more talented than the members of Huo Family."
After the tournament ended, everybody scattered as everybody was busy cultivating or with other problems. Lin Yu was given the precious ginseng in front of everybody, and it was impossible to snatch this treasure from him. They were in the vicinity of Huo Family and Huo family was famous with its righteousness. That was why nobody wanted to steal the ginseng from Lin Yu.
Lin Yu took the treasure and began to leave towards the forest where his master resided.
The elder from the scene back then also made preparations to leave. Bu then, he received a message from higher-ups to follow Lin Yu`s back.
" But he is just a Foundation Establishment Cultivator. Isn`t it inappropriate to follow him? According to our family rules... "
Before he could speak any further, a strong voice was conveyed through the talisman, which was in the hands of the elder.
" I said - just follow him. I want to know who his master is. At the critical moment of death, his sword moved on its own, saving his life. This was definitely not a magical sword, so it should be his master or something else..."
" Impossible!"-said the elder without giving it a thought. It was impossible even for Nascent realm Cultivators to control objects. And magical swords like that cannot be controlled by somebody who was merely at Foundation Establishment stage.
But since it was an order from higher-ups, he made two of his family members to follow behind Lin Yu without being noticed. Their cultivations were at the 3 and 2 stages of Foundation Establishment respectively.
They followed behind Lin Yu into the woods without making a sound.
As Lin Yu was just at an early stage, he could not notice that members of the Huo family followed him.
At the center of the woods, he came close to a wooden house.
As he stepped into the wooden house, he respectively bowed and spoke
" Disciple is back. I met the expectations of master and won the tournament of Huo Family. Master I personally present this ginseng from the tournament to you!"- he showed the ginseng to his master and offered it.
His master was a tall man with black hair and black eyes. His appearance was average compared to Lin Yu`s. He was sitting on a chair leisurely. His name was Lin Mo.
" You did good Lin Yu. Just keep the ginseng, you will use it when necessary. "
" But master! You are injured and you need this ginseng..." - worried that his master wouldn`t use the ginseng for his sake, Lin Yu started to protest.
" Enough! You don`t have to worry about my situation. "
'Well, it is better to keep this ginseng right now, even if my talent is trash, I should be able to cultivate to the Golden Core realm, right? ' Thought Lin Mo.
" Master please forgive me! I used your secret technique at the final stage of the tournament to save my life. " - As Lin Mo was thinking about his cultivation, his disciple Lin Yu spoke up the incident but didn`t tell the specific details of it as he was worried his master might go to Huo family to get revenge.
" Did anybody see what you did? " - worried, Lin Mo asked.
" I think nobody saw it except myself "- said Lin Yu confidently.
But suddenly, Lin Mo, who was at the second stage of Foundation Establishment, noticed there was some people outside of the wooden house, listening to their conversation.
' Damn, so they noticed his technique after all.' He was worried that some people with bad intentions would come, harming him and his disciple.
' What should I do? What do I do?'- he thought very hard about that, should they escape? but what if his enemy is stronger than them?
But anyways, at this distance, people who are outside of the wooden house should not be able to tell his Cultivation level.
Even though he was panicking what to do, he did not show it to his disciple, appearing expressionless.
Then an idea came to his mind. He would try to intimidate them and make them leave. It should be quite effective.
" Good! If anybody saw that technique, I would have gone there to kill everybody and make their life miserable! Isn`t that right our dear guests? " He slowed down and made his voice louder as his intention was to scare the people who was outside of the wooden house.
Indeed, the family members of Huo family was very scared. They thought they might upset the mysterious master of Lin Yu, who was capable of discovering their presence and cultivate a heaven-defying technique like controlling swords. This man was definitely not somebody, Foundation Establishment Cultivators could fight against.
" We are very sorry to interrupt master! Please forgive us! " - to not to make other party upset, they quickly apologized and left swiftly.
Noticing that the master of Lin Yu did not make any movements against them, they sighed a sigh of relief.
" Thank God he did not chase after us!"
" Yes, we should make a report about this person and tell family members to be more careful. He must have warned us to not make any moves against him and his disciple."
As the presence of the two cultivators of Huo Family began to disappear, Lin Mo knew that his strategy has worked. He sighed deeply.
