Chapter 21 - Chapter 21 The Power of Pokemon

The next morning, fine Powder Snow began to fall from the sky.

Old Butler Alfred looked up at the snowflakes with some concern, his worry evident as he said, "The temperature is getting even lower!"

Draconis glanced at them and then said, "We need to speed up."

It wasn't just them; a sense of crisis welled up in the hearts of all the residents in the territory.

If it snows lightly today, there could be a Blizzard tomorrow.

After a hurried meal, people immediately set off for the forest to cut wood for building houses.

With the snow falling, the outdoor temperature plummeted.

Several children in the territory sat in rows under a tent, watching the snowy scenery outside, their faces full of worry.

Three Snover sat beside them, looking up at the snow with them.

"Woo-goo~!"

As Ice-type Pokémon, Snover are naturally unafraid of the cold; they can live freely even in environments as cold as minus thirty degrees Celsius.

Now, seeing the snow fall, the three Snover appeared very happy.

They looked at their friends beside them, reached out and held their hands, wanting to invite everyone to go out and play in the snow together.

"Woo-goo~"

But the children had no mood to play at all.

Even though they were young, having come this far, they all clearly understood their current predicament.

Lost, not enough food, not enough wood—their parents' faces were etched with an unshakeable sorrow every day.

At this moment, the children looked up at the snow in the sky, their small brows furrowed, and they couldn't help but start worrying about their parents, fearing that the houses wouldn't be built before the Blizzard arrived.

The Snover belatedly sensed the children's unhappy emotions; they were somewhat puzzled.

"Snover, we can't play with you today," a boy said.

"Woo-goo?" The Snover scratched their heads, a look of disappointment appearing on their faces, "Woo-goo…"

"The Blizzard is coming soon. Dad and Mom have all gone to the forest to cut wood to build houses. If we don't build the houses before the Blizzard arrives, everyone will freeze to death," a five or six-year-old girl said with a worried face.

"No, we can't just play here!" A slightly older boy clenched his fists, saying maturely, "We have to do something too!"

"But… what can we do?" another girl asked, looking confused.

"Gathering berries, collecting dead branches and leaves, helping to move things—anything at all!" the boy said, standing up as he spoke.

He looked at the Snover and said to them, "Snover, you play by yourselves today! We're going to help!"

The Snover blinked: "Woo-goo…"

Everyone seems to be in trouble… The Snover looked at the children in front of them, then happily chirped, "Woo-goo!" They wanted to go too!

The children took out baskets, cloth bags, and other items from the tent to hold berries.

They didn't dare to go far, so they just picked berries from the bushes near where everyone was cutting trees.

The Snover also trotted along.

They immediately saw the humans holding axes, vigorously chopping down large trees.

"Woo-goo…"

The three Snover blinked, their gaze shifting from the children searching for berries to the adults cutting down trees.

Although they didn't understand many things, they were very clear about one thing in their hearts.

—Once everyone was done, they could continue to play with them!

"Woo-goo…"

In that case, they would help too!

The residents of the territory had also noticed the three Pokémon at this moment.

But everyone was working hard for survival, so they didn't pay too much attention to them.

However, several men suddenly saw the three Pokémon called Snover walk up to a large tree.

The next second, a rich white light surged from their bodies, seemingly performing some mysterious charging.

What were those Pokémon doing?

While the few people were stunned, a powerful energy burst from the Snover, forming a thick beam of light that slammed into the tree in front of them.

With a "boom," the thick, tall tree crashed down.

Everyone: "!!!"

Other residents nearby were also attracted by this scene, and expressions of surprise appeared on everyone's faces.

"That is…"

"What are those three Pokémon doing?"

The trees they had painstakingly chopped down for a long time with axes were felled by those Pokémon in an instant…?

"Snover?"

The children also noticed the Snover's actions at this moment.

They all looked over in this direction.

Facing everyone's gaze, the Snover simply responded with happy Growl.

"Woo-goo~!"

The adults were slightly stunned, somewhat unclear what these three Pokémon were doing.

But seeing the Snover's appearance, the children quickly reacted.

"The Snover are helping everyone cut down trees!" a girl shouted excitedly.

"What?!"

Hearing this, the working adults all froze in place, their faces showing expressions of disbelief.

The Pokémon… were actively helping them work?

This… this couldn't be, could it?

But the event was indeed happening right before their eyes.

People stared blankly at the scene.

But soon, Ryan was the first to react.

His Highness Draconis was indeed not mistaken!

These three Pokémon were truly different from those fiercely wild Pokémon!

His Highness Draconis was right—if you treat Pokémon with care, they will surely respond to you!

With the help of these Pokémon, they would surely be able to get through this winter successfully!

Thinking of this, Ryan's heart was filled with fighting spirit. He looked at everyone and commanded:

"Everyone, don't just stand there, work together with the Snover!"

"Teacher, we are ready!"

By the river, Anna and Zorua looked at Draconis with high spirits.

Humans and Pokémon, Beast Master and Trainer… just thinking about becoming a Beast Master like Sir Aaron, Anna was so excited she couldn't sleep all night.

Last night, she held Zorua and whispered secrets all night.

They wanted to become very, very powerful Trainers so they could protect her mother and everyone else!

"Very good." There were still many tasks in the territory awaiting him, so Draconis didn't beat around the bush and went straight to the point: "Have you memorized everything on the parchment I gave you that day?"

"I've memorized it!" Anna answered loudly. She hesitated for a moment, then added, "It's just… there are still many things I don't understand."

Such as types, abilities, evolution… Draconis smiled and said, "The rest of these are what I will teach you today."
