Chapter 41 - Chapter 41: Beast Master Aaron

The next day, the wind and snow stopped.

The women cooked breakfast at home, while the men stepped out, using brooms and shovels to clear the accumulated snow from their doorsteps, creating several paths for people to walk. The children gathered together, building snowmen with Snover in the snow.

After breakfast, some women carried wooden basins full of dirty clothes to the river to wash them, while the men checked the exterior of their houses to prevent the heavy snow from collapsing the roofs and burying people underneath.

The Knights Order, led by Ryan, also began their usual patrol of the territory.

The entire territory presented a vibrant and flourishing scene.

"Draconis, Your Highness, it seems everyone has gradually adapted to life here," Old Butler Alfred said, looking at the children playing with Pokémon in the snow.

Draconis hummed in response. He looked at the dirt road in front of him, thinking that by next spring, in addition to building more sturdy houses, he would also have to repair the roads.

Otherwise, after a heavy rain, all the roads in the territory would become muddy and impassable.

There were no pressing matters in the territory that required Draconis's attention at the moment.

He simply found Anna and came to check on her and Zorua's special training progress.

Upon learning of Draconis's intention, little Anna excitedly reported the results of her and Zorua's efforts.

"Teacher, Zorua can now create illusions! Come on, Zorua, show Teacher!"

"Woo~!"

Zorua concentrated, and a dazzling purple light immediately surged around its body.

The next second, Draconis felt the surrounding environment change.

Anna and Zorua, who were in front of him, disappeared, replaced by two stones, one large and one small.

Immediately after, the stones moved.

Draconis saw one of the stones waving at him.

Anna's voice then sounded: "Teacher, do you see me? I am a stone now!"

Draconis: "…"

Was she trying to use such a trick to escape the attacks of wild Pokémon?

Although it might work, it was too simplistic… Draconis didn't know what to say for a moment.

People in the past had a small imagination.

If they encountered a reckless Pokémon, it wouldn't care what you turned into; it might just use a Megaton Punch directly on the two stones in front of it.

"Hehe!" The illusion disappeared, and Anna looked over with anticipation, asking, "Teacher, how did we do?"

"For beginners, your performance is already very good," Draconis finally praised his little apprentice.

"Yay!" Anna was very happy.

"However, your development of this ability is a bit too simplistic, Anna. Be bold and use your imagination."

Draconis pondered for a moment, then began to give Anna examples.

"So-called illusions are not just about your own changes. Although this ability cannot cause any form of damage, it can deceive the senses of humans and magical beasts."

"For example, influencing their brainwaves to create a forest maze, trapping them in the illusion forever, or transforming yourselves into powerful Pokémon magical beasts to scare away opponents through intimidation."

As far as Draconis knew, the illusion ability possessed by Pokémon like Zoroark was among the best even among all Pokémon.

"Powerful Zoroark can not only transform into anything but also create illusions that thousands of people can see simultaneously, trapping an entire town within them," Draconis added.

In Zoroark's exclusive movie, that Zoroark was not only able to transform into the three legendary Pokémon, Entei, Suicune, and Raikou, but also perfectly replicated their powerful abilities.

Anna and Zorua listened, mesmerized.

Zorua was full of longing for Draconis's description: "Woo?" Can it really possess such power?

Anna was equally surprised: "That amazing?!"

"Anna, never underestimate the power of any magical beast. As long as you carefully care for them and nurture them, their power is infinite," Draconis said.

"Infinite…" Anna murmured, repeating these three words: "Like Beast Tamer Aaron?"

Could she and Zorua also become such powerful people?

A few years ago, that Aaron came to the Eindoak Kingdom and defeated a terrifying magical beast that humans could not possibly defeat for everyone in the town.

At that time, his legend was circulating throughout the entire kingdom.

In Anna's impression, Aaron was the most powerful Beast Tamer in the world.

"Aaron?" Hearing this familiar name, Draconis was slightly startled.

But soon, memories related to him surfaced in his mind.

Three years ago, an "evil" great demon god magical beast caused very terrifying storms in many places within the kingdom, destroying countless homes and fields.

The army sent by the Old King failed in their Subjugation, and in the end, they could only ask other kingdoms for support.

Thus, the Beast Tamer Aaron came from the distant kingdom of Orudoran on another continent. He used his power to seal that "evil" magical beast.

His deeds therefore spread throughout the entire Unova region.

Recalling these memories, Draconis's expression immediately became somewhat strange.

Seeing Draconis remain silent, Anna softly called out, "Teacher? What's wrong?"

"Nothing, just thinking of some things." Draconis came back to his senses and shook his head, "Anna, you and Zorua continue your special training! I still have some things to attend to."

"Yes!" Anna quickly nodded.

Aaron… Wasn't that Aaron from the movie "Mew and the Aura Hero Lucario" who sacrificed himself to quell the war and transferred his Aura to Mew?

In this era, Aaron was still alive?!

Draconis was somewhat surprised. He turned and found Alfred, asking him about Aaron.

Alfred recalled, then replied, "Aaron? Yes, he came to the royal city three years ago. At that time, a magical beast named Tornadus caused a terrible disaster. The King had no choice but to request assistance from Queen Rin of the Rota Kingdom."

"Queen Rin and the King were pen pals and often exchanged letters. After that, Aaron came. He and the magical beast named Lucario stopped Tornadus, helping the kingdom resolve that disaster."

"What's wrong, Your Highness?" Old Butler Alfred couldn't help but ask.

"Nothing, I just think that Beast Tamer is very powerful. It would be great if I could meet him," Draconis said.

"The land where the Rota Kingdom is located is very far from us. If you travel by boat, it would take a month to arrive," the Old Butler couldn't help but say.

Draconis was naturally aware of this.

In this era, human fear of the sea far exceeded that of the land.

The sea was unfathomable, thunderstorms often occurred at sea, and countless sea magical beasts inhabited the waters. Once a ship encountered trouble, there was nothing to do but despair and wait for death.

It was precisely because of this that connections between various regions in this era were scarce, and some regions even still lived slowly in the form of tribes.
