Chapter 52 - Chapter 52: snivy Captured

"Alfred, you should also go back and rest early!"

Draconis retracted his gaze from the window and said to his Old Butler.

"Yes, Your Highness!" Alfred bowed: "Please rest early."

The Old Butler left.

Draconis then looked at the several Pokémon beside him and said with a smile:

"Don't worry, this house is very sturdy."

The Minccino jumped from the window to the floor. They ran to the corner where they hid their food, looked at the pile of Berries and pinecones like a small mountain, and then breathed a sigh of relief.

"Minccino..."

The firewood in the fireplace was burning fiercely, sparks flying, making crackling sounds.

The warm flames illuminated the entire room, dispelling the cold brought by the Blizzard.

Watching the actions of the several Minccino, Draconis couldn't help but laugh:

"Don't worry! Even if you don't have food, I won't let you go hungry!"

Saying that, Draconis patted his bed and said to them: "Come up and sleep!"

"Minccino!"

Five Minccino all jumped onto the bed, squeezing next to Draconis, vying for their small blankets.

And it's true, having such a group of fluffy and cute Pokémon around is quite interesting.

Being surrounded by a group of fluffy creatures while sleeping at night makes even sleeping more enjoyable.

The Dratini, who had trained all day, was already asleep.

Draconis then turned to look at the Snivy on the carpet, and then invited him:

"Snivy, would you like to come and sleep with us too?"

The Snivy, who had been staring at them, saw the topic shift to him. After a brief stunned, he immediately turned his head away.

"Are you really not going to sleep with us?" Draconis said again: "It's very warm."

"Snivy..."

At this moment, the Snivy hesitated.

Draconis pressed on: "The floor is a bit cold. It's lively and warm here, and everyone wants you to come and sleep with us."

Hearing this, the Snivy, with a proud expression and elegant posture, crossed his small arms.

Since that's the case, he would grudgingly go over!

The Snivy also came to the bed, but his position was relatively far from Draconis, at the foot of the bed.

This little tsundere, Draconis couldn't help but mutter to himself.

He recalled what happened before and then asked: "Snivy, were you injured by other Pokémon that day?"

"Snivy?" The Snivy was slightly startled, then immediately remembered the day he was ambushed by those insidious and cunning Sneasel: "Snivy."

"I see..." Draconis murmured.

After these days of getting along, both he and the Snivy had come to understand each other to some extent.

Draconis felt it was time.

He pondered for a moment, then asked:

"Then Snivy, are you willing to become my Pokémon?"

"Snivy?" The Snivy was stunned, his tone seeming a bit puzzled.

Draconis explained: "It's like Dratini. After becoming my Pokémon, I will help you formulate a special training plan to make you stronger, for example, evolving into Servine, and even the more powerful Serperior."

The contrary Serperior, every time it uses Leaf Storm, its special attack can be greatly increased. Infinitely repeating this move, Draconis felt that with this combination alone, they could walk sideways in this era.

"Snivy..."

But what the Snivy was thinking about was not the matter of him becoming stronger.

In his mind, there appeared the scene of Draconis apologizing to the Minccino and promising to take them in.

Following that, there was the scene of Draconis specially training Dratini, gently massaging him, and getting along with him.

And the scene of Draconis smiling and getting along with the Pokémon in this territory.

All these things made the Snivy feel a little flustered.

It was precisely because of this that he appeared in front of this human many times at that time.

In his heart, he was actually looking forward to the other party catching up, wasn't he?

The Snivy sat up from the bed and looked at Draconis.

Seeing that the Snivy remained silent, Draconis also sat up and looked at the Snivy.

One human and one Pokémon looked at each other across the air.

"How about it, Snivy?" Draconis asked.

The Snivy, with a proud expression, crossed his arms, closed his eyes, and turned his head away.

"You agreed?" Draconis's eyes lit up.

"Snivy."

Draconis grinned. Ancient Pokémon were good. If it were a modern Snivy, a battle would definitely be needed to capture him.

He extended his hand towards the Snivy: "Please take care of me, Snivy."

The Snivy was startled. He looked at the hand in front of him, the corners of his mouth slightly curved upwards, and then he also extended his hand.

"Snivy."

Draconis immediately breathed a sigh of relief.

Very good, he successfully captured the Snivy.

A Snivy who could escape from the attack of five Sneasel must possess considerable combat power.

Thus, he could now have a certain level of combat ability.

Moreover, the Snivy's growth rate was much faster than Dratini's.

In the game, he only needed to reach Lv.17 to evolve into Servine, and at Lv.36, he could evolve into the final stage, Serperior.

By that time, Dratini might not have even evolved into Dragonair.

More importantly, although he grew fast, this did not mean that the Snivy's upper limit was lower than Dratini's.

Where there's a will, there's a way. Draconis always believed that as long as the Trainer cultivated well, even a Pokémon as common as Beedrill could have the ability to fight a legend.

And in the Pokémon world, there were many such examples.

For example, Giovanni's Beedrill, or the Swinub and Delibird of Pryce in the special chapter.

The Blizzard continued until the next morning without stopping.

Outside the house, snow and wind raged, and the cold wind howled.

In order to check the firing of the bricks, Draconis put on his cashmere hood, instructed the Pokémon to stay at home, and he, along with the blacksmith Morik and others, braved the heavy snow to the brick kiln.

After an entire night, the fiery red brick blanks in the dome-shaped brick kiln had completely cooled down.

Morik took out one of the red bricks from inside, carefully inspected it, and then showed a look of joy.

"Your Highness Draconis, these bricks are fired very successfully!"

Hearing this, everyone's faces lit up with joy.

Saying that, Morik handed the reddish-brown brick to Draconis.

Draconis reached out to take it, squeezed it hard, and felt that the brick's texture was very hard and solid.

Clearly, they succeeded!

Seeing this, Draconis immediately breathed a sigh of relief.

If this was the case, once winter ended, they could build more sturdy brick houses!

"Everyone has worked hard!" Draconis said.

"It's our duty, Your Highness!" everyone said one after another.

"Alright, since the brick firing was a great success, everyone should go back and rest first! We'll continue working when the Blizzard stops!" Draconis said.

"Yes!"

After everyone dispersed, Draconis then turned to Alfred and said:

"Alfred, later take some things from my private treasury as a reward for them."

"Understood, Your Highness." Alfred nodded.

Draconis was in a good mood. If they started firing bricks now, by next spring, they would have accumulated a large batch of red bricks.

By then, they could start building brick houses.

Coupled with the breeding of wild Pokémon, Shuckle's Berry Juice, Mareep's wool, Combee's honey, Deerling's tea... and then opening several juice shops, tea shops, bakeries, and other stores, the scale of this territory would then be able to slowly develop from a village into a town.
