Just after his fight with the wardens leading to him been captured,
He felt the same feeling.
Another eclipse had risen again tracking it's orgin energy leaving the distracted wardens and escaped
This led to confusion In lys mind he began to ask himself
" Why has another one appeared" he said running towards the site
Where the eclipse had been waiting as if he knew lys was on his way
Reaching the site Lys saw the Eclipse and said to himself
" This is atleast tier 2, this will be hard"
Charging straight to the eclipse as their hands met, the ground shook
" This is hard I have almost depleted most of my energy"
Lys was struggling
Then the eclipse spoke" We are many"
Confused
Lys was in shock
" It spoke " lys said to himself
The eclipse seeing this opportunity stuck lys leaving him heavily wounded, while he was regenerating it struck again sending him through buildings.
Lys fought back using his tail bearly moving the Eclipse
The eclipse sent lys flying with another punch to the face
The stood in a weird position
As if it was about to release a high burst of origin energy.
Lys crossed his arm ready to block.
But then it stopped.
Looking up a shadow passed on struck the eclipse sending him in to a building.
Lys confused asked " Who are you"
" Surely it's been long yes but you shouldn't have forgotten about me"
As the dust settles.
The figure appeared, the sword master
Valerius has returned.
Lys didn't speak. No need. A quick nod passed between them—a silent agreement. They had faced chaos together before.
The Eclipse lunged.
Valerius met it mid-air, blade flashing in a series of precise arcs. The void sigils of the Eclipse exploded with each strike, twisting reality around them. Lys flanked from behind, claws and tail ready—but restrained, waiting for the right moment.
They moved as one. Lys understood Valerius's rhythm, and Valerius anticipated Lys's flanking movements. Every strike, every counter, every evasive maneuver felt synchronized without words.
But the Eclipse would not go down without a fight
It stood as it was charging it's origin energy into a condensed beam of pure darkness.
Lys breathed hard, claws retracting, tail coiling as regeneration sealed his minor wounds.
Valerius spoke " it's about to do something"
Lys answered " I am the counter"
He stood in the opposite direction
Charging his energy output to its max Lys .
The eclipse fired, black pure energy
Lys countered with
The Seraphim Breath.
The beams clashed sending a shock so large it destroys the glass of cities
Valerius stood and saw _
The eclipse had vanished and Lys Arken stood Victorious
After the clash
He said " finally over " and he fainted
Having exausting his energy output he was dead.
Lys Arken was dead.
From the academy, GAPA analysts recorded every movement:
Observation:
Lys Arden : Deceased
Eclipse neutralized.
Combined tactics with external agent (Valerius) critical.
The air was still. Not quiet—oppressive.
The crater where Lys had fallen smoked, his form gone. Only faint scorch marks remained on cracked stone. The Academy's sensors registered nothing alive in the area.
GAPA watchers didn't cheer. They didn't sigh in relief.
"Confirmed: subject terminated," one analyst said, voice flat.
Astra was not there. She wouldn't be. That was on hold.
Valerius landed quietly at the edge of the courtyard. Blade lowered, eyes scanning the empty wreckage. His chest rose and fell slowly, but there was no trace of triumph—only calculation.
He knelt at the edge of the crater, placing a hand on the scorched earth.
"Impossible," he muttered. "He can't—"
Even dead—or thought dead—Lys had changed everything.
The question that echoed silently through every GAPA terminal:
If Lys Arken is gone… who or what will fill the void he left behind?
