After Garfield's embellished description, the pink creature in front of him learned what a Flerken was, what Asgard was, what a demigod was, and the existence of the multiverse.
"Oh my god, am I dreaming. You really are a god from some world."
"Of course."
"Um, you are a cat, right."
"No, Asgardians look the same as humans on Earth. The difference is that they are much stronger and live longer."
"So, is your multiverse dangerous."
Garfield nodded. "Yes, traveling through the multiverse is dangerous. Not to mention the time tunnels, there is also the question of what the other universe is like. It could be a peaceful universe, or it could be full of evil demons from a mythical world. It could be a world inhabited by a peaceful race, or it could be a brain dead creature trying to destroy the universe."
"These things are none of your concern. As I said, I will summon your mother's soul to speak with you."
Lacus was a little nervous.
After all, her mother had been dead for a long time, and summoning her now.
"Um, will doing this disturb my mother's peaceful rest."
"Normally, no. The soul will either enter the next stage of reincarnation, where memories of the previous life are sealed, or the soul will return to nothingness and fall into slumber."
Garfield grabbed a hair from Lacus's body, held it in his paws, and began to inscribe a magic circle.
The golden magic circle and runes became increasingly complex as Garfield's paws moved.
After a while, a perfect summoning circle was completed.
Once finished, the summoning circle was activated, and a pink haired girl gradually appeared from it.
She had a face that was eight parts similar to Lacus's, with her eyes closed as if she were asleep.
Lacus stared wide eyed at the larger Lacus in the magic circle, who opened her eyes and looked around in confusion.
After a while, her eyes became clear.
"Where am I."
Garfield answered. "This is your daughter's room."
The larger Lacus in her soul state was Lacus's mother, so she could naturally see the half heavenly divine light behind Garfield's orange cat like body.
"You are."
Garfield pointed at Lacus and said, "A half father level god that your daughter picked up."
Lacus's mother was speechless.
This statement was far too unexpected.
Lacus stared at her mother's soul with her small eyes and asked, "Are you my mother."
Lacus's mother reached out and patted Lacus's head. "My Lacus, you have grown so much."
"Mother."
"Lacus."
Garfield turned and left.
He could not stand this kind of scene.
Do not say that he was not like a god and his will was not strong enough.
Anyone with a heart should react to this.
He left, closing the door to leave the mother and daughter alone.
At the door of Lacus's room, the butler summoned by Garfield came over.
"Lord Garfield."
"Guard the door. Do not let any other servants in."
"Yes, Lord Garfield."
Magic was so useful.
With the butler guarding the door, Garfield went downstairs to the kitchen to raid the food in the refrigerator.
Garfield devoured everything.
Grilled steak, lamb chops, pork belly, chicken cartilage, garlic wrapped meat, chili meat, toasted bread slices, and more.
He then had two beers.
He belched loudly and finished.
He figured it was about time.
Summoning a soul for too long would damage its original body and attract the attention of the universe's fundamental will.
He walked from the kitchen to Lacus's room, signaling the butler to stay at the door.
Garfield went inside.
Little Pinky and her mother, Big Pinky, were sitting together, chatting happily.
Seeing the two pinkies enjoying themselves, Garfield could only play the unwelcome guest.
"Sorry, it is time."
The larger pink figure nodded. "Thank you for allowing me to see my daughter again."
As a god, Garfield had to maintain his dignity, so he simply nodded without speaking.
Next, the two pink figures said goodbye.
Under the watchful gaze of the smaller pink figure's bright red eyes, Garfield saw off her mother's soul and then deactivated the magic circle.
Afterward, the smaller pink figure sat blankly in front of the magic circle, hoping to see something more.
"Garfield, can I."
Garfield knew what she meant.
She wanted to learn magic to summon her mother's soul.
As a good, lawful mage, Garfield could not let her go astray.
He decisively refused.
"No. Summoning a soul from its resting place is already against the rules. Summoning it once or twice is fine, but if it happens too often, the soul's body will not only be damaged, but it will also be contaminated by various energies floating in the universe. Once tainted by evil energy, the soul will not be pure, and returning to its resting place will be like a virus, eliminated. Do you understand."
Lacus thought for a moment, understood Garfield's meaning, and asked, "So, summoning my mother's soul too often will harm her soul, and it might even erase her basic programming, like a robot infected with a virus."
"That is one way to understand it."
"But I still miss my mother."
"Everyone dies someday. After you die a natural death, you can meet your mother."
Lacus raised her little paw. "Then if I could learn magic."
In Lacus's mind, if she could learn magic and become a god, could she do something, like resurrect her mother.
Garfield smiled slightly. "Lacus, when you grow to that level, you will know whether you should have done it or not."
Lacus tilted her head.
"Let me tell you a story. A story about death, man, and soul."
Once upon a time, there was a wizard whose fiancée died young for some reason.
One day, he came across a river on a secluded path.
He built a bridge to cross it, but he did not know that a Grim Reaper was guarding the river.
The Grim Reaper's job was to collect the souls of those who walked along the path to the river and drowned.
Now that there was a bridge, the Grim Reaper could no longer complete his work, so he stopped the wizard.
The Grim Reaper was cunning.
He knew the wizard was powerful, and if he rashly used force, he might not be able to defeat him.
So he began to praise the wizard and said he would give him a divine artifact as a reward.
The wizard thought for a long time and asked for something he wanted, to resurrect his fiancée.
The Grim Reaper picked up a stone from the river and told him that this stone had the power to bring the dead back to life.
After returning home, the wizard used the stone, and his beloved miraculously appeared before him.
The girl had indeed come back to life, but her eyes were filled with sorrow and pain.
She was a dead person, not belonging here.
Being forced to stay in the world of the living tormented her.
Ultimately, the wizard committed suicide for his beloved.
"Little Pinky, do you understand."
