"Make sure everything is under control, and call the police immediately," Ricard said as he took out his phone and called his assistant. He gave the order, his eyes never leaving Emma, while the assistant hurriedly followed his instructions.
After ending the call, Ricard turned to Emma, his gaze softening.
"We need to go to the hospital right away. I'll take my assistant's car and drive you there."
But Emma shook her head. The pain had not taken away her clarity.
"Use my car," she said, her voice hoarse but firm. "I can't leave it here."
Ricard looked at Emma with slight surprise.
"Your car?" he asked, curiosity in his voice.
