The rest of the men surrounded them, laughing and mocking Emma's every gesture and word in an exaggerated way. One of them pretended to act coy, mimicking the way Emma walked, swinging the baseball bat back and forth as if performing some ridiculous dance.
"Look at me, I'm the strong little lady! Don't touch me, I can fight you all off with my superhuman strength!" he shouted, pretending to sound weak before suddenly bursting into loud laughter.
Emma stood still, her expression unchanged, her eyes coldly fixed on the gangsters in front of her. She did not respond to their taunts, but her icy gaze made more than a few of them hesitate, even if only for a moment. Ricard stood beside her, calmly observing the entire scene without revealing any reaction. But deep in his eyes, a flicker of anger began to appear as he watched these men look down on Emma to such an extent.
