Anna took a deep breath to steady herself after her outburst, then rose from her chair, her gaze turning colder and more resolute. She turned to Liliana, who was still standing there, waiting for her next order.
"Liliana," Anna said, her voice calmer now, "clean up this office for me. I need to go out."
Liliana nodded, not daring to say anything more when she saw the sharp look in Anna's eyes. She merely stood there, watching as Anna picked up her elegant coat and walked out.
After Anna left the room, Liliana let out a sigh, her eyes sweeping over the office that had been turned into a mess after her boss's fit of rage. Shards from the vase still lay scattered across the floor, while papers and objects were strewn everywhere. She clicked her tongue softly, then began to clean up. This was not the first time Liliana had had to tidy up after one of Anna's tantrums, but this time, she sensed a particular tension in the air, as if everything was slowly slipping out of control.
