Hello everyone welcome to yet another episode of season 1
Hope you guys are enjoying it.
The Grand Marshal moved with the weight of a dying star.
Every step he took left a pixelated crater in the marble floor, his massive sword trailing a wake of green static that hissed like a snake.
"System," Han Jin said, his eyes tracking the Marshal's movements with cold precision.
"How deep is the infection?"
[BING! Analysis: 87% of the Entity's data has been overwritten by The Developer.]
[Note: Direct combat will lead to total data corruption.
Deletion is the only logical outcome.]
"Your logic is flawed," Han Jin replied.
The Marshal lunged.
The green-flamed blade descended with enough force to split a mountain, but Han Jin didn't dodge.
Instead, he raised the Dragon Bone Cleaver horizontally, catching the strike.
BOOM
The shockwave sent Lin Xi and Fatty Wei flying back toward the pillars.
The ground beneath Han Jin's feet shattered into a million white fragments, floating upward in the low-gravity environment of the Archive.
"PURGE... THE... ANOMALY!" the Marshal roared, his voice a glitching chorus of a hundred distorted souls.
"Old Man, look at me," Han Jin gritted out, his muscles, hacked to their limit , bulging beneath his school shirt.
"I am the anomaly you created.
I am the one who survived the Void."
He didn't push back.
He leaned into the green fire.
With his left hand, he pulled out the Rusty Paperclip and jammed it directly into the green flame of the Marshal's sword.
[WARNING! Extreme Malware detected!]
[User is attempting to Link with a Level 99 Corrupted Entity!]
"I'm not linking with the corruption," Han Jin growled.
"I'm linking his Core to my Past."
Han Jin closed his eyes.
He reached into the deepest recesses of his own soul, pulling out the memories of the Ninth Heaven, the smell of the incense in the War Room, the sound of the Marshal's laughter after a victory, the weight of the hand on his shoulder when he was first crowned Emperor.
He funneled those memories through the Paperclip, using it as a high-speed data cable.
ZAP
The green flames flickered.
For a split second, they turned a brilliant, holy gold.
The Grand Marshal's movements stuttered. His milky eyes cleared for a heartbeat.
"Jin... boy? You... you grew up," the Marshal whispered.
"Not yet," Han Jin replied.
"I'm still just a kid in a math class, remember?"
But the Update virus fought back.
The green fire exploded with renewed fury, trying to consume Han Jin's arm.
The System began to scream alerts.
[CRITICAL ERROR! Memory Leak detected!]
[The Developer is counter-hacking! Initiating Force Close on the Archive!]
"Lin Xi! The Librarian's keys!" Han Jin shouted.
Lin Xi didn't hesitate.
She knew Han Jin was holding the Marshal's soul in a delicate balance.
She turned to the Librarian, who was watching the scene with his massive eye wide in shock.
"The Admin Key! Give it to him!" Lin Xi commanded, her Andromeda Seal erupting in a blinding blue light.
She wasn't asking as a student; she was speaking with the authority of a 10th-Rank Recorder.
The Librarian, terrified by the clashing powers of an Emperor and a Developer, fumbled with his collar.
He tossed a key made of pure, solidified light toward Lin Xi.
"Han Jin! I have it!" she cried, catching the key.
"Good. Now, System...Manual Overwrite!"
Han Jin slammed the Dragon Bone Cleaver into the floor, not to break it, but to ground the virus.
Using the Paperclip as a bridge, he bypassed the Developer's Update and re-wrote the Grand Marshal's code using his own divine essence as the template.
It was a feat of spiritual programming that would have killed any other mortal.
But Han Jin wasn't just a mortal.
He was a God-Emperor in a Lite version body.
[BING! Overwrite Successful!]
[Entity: Grand Marshal has been downgraded to: Battle Spirit Companion.]
[Status: Dormant.
Recovery time: 48 hours.]
The green fire vanished.
The massive sword dissolved into pixels. The Grand Marshal's body shrank, losing its physical form and turning into a small, golden marble that fell softly into Han Jin's palm.
Han Jin stood in the center of the ruins, breathing hard.
His school shirt was shredded, and his Charm stat was probably taking a hit from the sweat and soot, but his eyes were triumphant.
The Librarian trembled.
"You... you saved a Deprecated File.
That shouldn't be possible."
"In my world," Han Jin said, tucking the golden marble into his pocket next to the paperclip, "nothing is truly deleted.
It's just waiting for a better version."
The Archive began to shake.
The pillars started to dissolve into lines of green code.
The Force Close was happening.
"The stairs!" Fatty Wei pointed to the back of the hall, where a staircase of golden light had appeared.
"They're leading to Floor 2!"
"Go!" Han Jin commanded.
As they sprinted toward the stairs, a voice echoed through the crumbling library.
It wasn't the Marshal, and it wasn't the Librarian.
It was the smooth, arrogant voice of the Developer.
"Impressive, Han Jin.
You saved a ghost.
But Floor 2 isn't a library.
It's a Social Media simulation.
Let's see how many Likes a God-Emperor can get when the world is voting for his execution."
Han Jin hit the first step of the golden stairs just as the Archive collapsed into the void.
