Chapter 10 - Chapter 10 - This Heimer Really Has Something

After placing two mini-turrets in the bottom lane brush, Lin Fan controlled Heimerdinger and headed back toward red buff.

TL:

Red Buff (Red Brambleback)

A jungle monster buff in League of Legends that gives:

Bonus damage over time (burn effect) on auto-attacks

Slow effect on auto-attacks

Health regeneration

He then dropped another turret right in the center of the red buff pit.

When using Heimer to leash for the jungler, the most important thing is never placing turrets in a "safe" position.

They must take damage.

Otherwise, there's a real chance the turrets keep firing and accidentally steal the buff.

Placing the turret dead center ensures the jungle monster's innate aggro targets it first.

That way, the turret tanks a few hits while also dealing solid damage.

For the jungler, it's extremely comfortable.

Of course, you can't stay until the buff is fully taken—you still need to rush back to lane.

Lin Fan didn't care whether his ADC was Chinese or not. As soon as he arrived in lane, he pinged the minion wave.

The meaning was obvious—use the turrets to quickly secure level two.

Uzi frowned at the sight.

The push speed was simply too fast.

If they kept pushing like this, their first wave would crash into the enemy tower before the second wave even arrived.

If it got frozen there and the enemy jungler showed up, it would be extremely dangerous.

Uzi didn't want that.

So he didn't cast a single ability, instead slow-last-hitting.

"Why isn't this Kai'Sa pushing the wave?"

This was exactly how Heimer was supposed to be played—using turrets to exert extreme lane pressure.

If the ADC didn't cooperate, it was impossible to fully execute the playstyle.

Still, with turret assistance, they cleared faster than Jinx.

After all, Blitzcrank was useless at level one.

They still had the edge in the race to level two.

It just depended on whether Kai'Sa wanted to go for the kill.

If she did, an all-in at level two could instantly delete Blitzcrank.

There was no helping it—Heimer's damage really was that absurd.

Even with his passive shield, Blitzcrank could still be killed.

Lin Fan casually strolled around the minion wave with Heimer.

He'd already done everything he needed to do.

"Truly worthy of being a 'low-IQ' support. No wonder JackeyLove doesn't want to play with him. Zero impact—just wandering around doing nothing."

"Now I get why he picked Heimer. Just like Zyra, except Heimer's turrets are permanent plants. From here on out, he can just take a walk."

"Truly a great inventor."

Whether Lin Fan was especially hateable, or the moderators were doing their job, the instigating messages in Uzi's stream had decreased significantly.

Instead, the criticism shifted toward Heimer support.

Uzi, however, felt oddly reassured by Heimer's positioning.

That stance was clearly there to block Blitzcrank hooks.

This support wasn't bad at all.

It let him farm with peace of mind.

Blitzcrank also realized this and kept looking for an angle—but couldn't find one.

Eventually, he couldn't help himself and tried throwing a hook from the side.

Lin Fan instantly dropped a turret.

It planted itself right in front of Kai'Sa, pulling the hook onto the turret instead.

The mini-turret's damage was no joke—three quick shots shaved nearly fifty HP off Blitzcrank.

For a summoned unit, that damage was ridiculous.

At level one, the turret had 150 HP.

Both Blitzcrank and Jinx needed three hits to clear it, making it extremely annoying.

Their first instinct was to back off, exit turret range, then try to clear.

When the turret turned its fire onto the backline minions, Lin Fan's eyes lit up.

Uzi noticed they were only two minions away from level two.

With Blitzcrank's hook down, he confidently stepped forward.

He moved to secure the last two minions and apply pressure.

The red-side duo wasn't stupid and immediately retreated.

But at that moment—

Heimer auto-attacked and last-hit a low-HP minion.

At the same time, a turret finished off another.

Two golden beams of light enveloped both Heimer and Kai'Sa.

"Damn."

This Heimer really had no manners—he actually took two of the minions himself.

But now wasn't the time to argue responsibility.

Uzi reacted instantly and leveled up W.

In a level-two skirmish, W was far more useful than E.

TL:

W and E = Ability hotkeys in League of Legends

Q = first ability W = second ability E = third ability R = ultimate ability

Lin Fan glanced sideways at Kai'Sa—just follow up.

Two turrets stood ahead.

Heimer's movement speed instantly increased by 20%.

From 340 MS(movement speed) straight up to 408.

He flicked his wrist and hurled an E straight at Jinx.

Stunned!

No matter how annoying Blitzcrank was, bot lane rules were simple—focus the ADC.

For Heimer, turrets were the core.

W and E existed solely to support them.

Their purpose was to charge the turrets and maximize damage.

The two forward turrets immediately filled their energy.

Twin empowered blasts slammed into Jinx.

Ignite followed instantly.

"So aggressive! And the damage is insane."

Uzi quickly landed Void Seeker during the stun.

Kai'Sa's passive stacks appeared on Jinx.

With the combined damage, a full-HP Jinx dropped to under 200 health.

Terrified, she burned Heal and Flash toward the tower.

But Uzi wasn't letting her go.

Not with HP that low.

He flashed forward to follow.

And it wasn't just Uzi.

Lin Fan and his beloved turrets flashed in as well.

Heimer Flash–Q.

Now that they were away from the minion wave, the turrets had only champions to target.

Two spurts of flame erupted.

Kai'Sa triggered her passive.

Blitzcrank could only watch helplessly.

His Q was already on cooldown.

He wasn't even level two yet—he couldn't disrupt anything.

Pure regret.

Why throw that hook?

Wouldn't it have been better to just wait behind the wave?

Between Kai'Sa's autos, Heimer fired one final basic attack, wiping out Jinx's remaining HP.

Lin Fan had no intention of giving this kill away.

Otherwise, he wouldn't have flashed to add damage.

The reason was simple—Heimer's early-game combat power was absurd.

Even with just an Amplifying Tome, his turrets could make the enemy suffer endlessly.

So this first blood was his to take.

Kai'Sa needed too many items.

She wasn't like Draven, who could spike brutally off a single Essence Reaver.

In the early game, the main damage dealer was Heimer.

And with support Heimer, the wave was guaranteed to shove into the enemy tower.

With Kai'Sa lacking Flash, the enemy jungler would definitely be eyeing bot lane.

But with items, a 2v3 wasn't impossible.

Fight around the turrets—and kills came easily.

First Blood.

The first kill erupted.

As for Blitzcrank…

With the turrets expended, he couldn't be killed.

"Holy shit!" Uzi was stunned.

He never expected to kill them so cleanly in lane.

This Heimer…

Really has something.
