Chapter 5 - chapter 5- It Is Not Convinced!

Almost it was afternoon school hours. Xia Ping got down from the roof and walked toward the Third Year Class 36 classroom. Soon as he was about to approach the classroom, he was suddenly blocked by two people.

He turned around to look, and immediately saw that the two people blocking him were both women. One appeared cute and lovely, about 1.54 m tall, wearing brand-name clothes that exuded noble aura. It was evident her background was very superior.

Xia Ping recognized this woman. Her name was Liang Xiaoxue, a classmate in his class — a true white-rich-beautiful girl. She looked down on all other students and rarely spoke to anyone.

The other woman was coldly beautiful, wearing a white shirt with very astonishing curves on the upper body (her bust estimated at least D-cup), jeans on the lower body highlighting her slender legs, and wearing white sneakers.

Xia Ping also knew this woman — she was Jiang Yaru, class president of Third Year Class 36, the class flower with extremely high popularity in school. Her academic record and martial talent were both excellent, and she was pursued by countless people. Moreover, she and Xia Ping had known each other since childhood — neighbors and childhood friends.

"Xia Ping, I heard that you plan to go up the Flying Dragon Platform against Bear Tyrant?" Jiang Yaru looked at Xia Ping seriously.

Xia Ping nodded: "That's right."

Jiang Yaru stared into Xia Ping's eyes seriously: "Do you know that Bear Tyrant is not someone to be trifled with? He has Martial Apprentice 5th Heavenly Layer cultivation base and innate divine strength. It's said he also cultivates the mid-level martial skill Thunderbolt Tyrant Bear Fist with formidable combat strength. Even if someone at Martial Apprentice 6th Heavenly Layer fights him, it would be a draw.

"You're now merely Martial Apprentice 3rd Heavenly Layer — going up the Flying Dragon Platform means you intend to be beaten by the opponent? You haven't even surrendered or admitted defeat. Don't continue this foolish duel."

"You don't understand," Xia Ping said.

Jiang Yaru angrily said, "What I don't understand is that you were definitely swayed by personal feelings and goaded into action. You foolishly agreed to this duel.

"You clearly know you are not Bear Tyrant's opponent, but you still insist on going up the Flying Dragon Platform — is that just for a bit of face? Even if you don't die there, if Bear Tyrant severely injures you, you'll have to go to the hospital for emergency treatment, and that medical expense won't be cheap! Do you want to burden uncle and aunt further?!"

She knew Xia Ping came from an ordinary family, and just one round of medical costs for serious injury would be enough to cause suffering.

"Men like this, with no skill and not an opponent at all, but still showing off — such a person isn't called graceful, he's called stupid." Liang Xiaoxue despised Xia Ping. She had no idea why her best friend cared so much about this guy.

"In short, you don't need to meddle — I naturally have my own judgment here." Xia Ping beckoned with his hand and walked past Jiang Yaru toward the classroom.

Unbeknownst to Jiang Yaru, Xia Ping was no longer the same as before. Having obtained Pure Yang Inextinguishable Art, advanced to Martial Apprentice 4th Heavenly Layer, and mastered the Five Form Fists, his strength had increased greatly — enough to overpower Bear Tyrant.

But he didn't say any of this to others. Even if he told them, they probably wouldn't believe him. Facts would have to prove everything.

"Xia Ping!" Jiang Yaru glared angrily at his back, but she couldn't stop him.

Liang Xiaoxue coldly snorted: "What's there to explain? If he gets seriously injured and goes to the hospital for emergency treatment, then he'll know how wrong he was."

"But if he's seriously injured, how will I explain it to Auntie Huang?" Jiang Yaru said worriedly.

Liang Xiaoxue waved her hand: "What explanation? You already advised him not to do this. If he doesn't listen, that's on him. If he wants to jump off a building and commit suicide, how could we stop him?!"

"Forget it — things have reached this point. There's no turning back now." Jiang Yaru said helplessly. The duel on the Flying Dragon Platform had spread throughout the school, and even if she regretted it now, it was too late.

"Alright, let's go to class quickly. This is someone else's matter — don't worry about it." Liang Xiaoxue pulled Jiang Yaru into the classroom.

At this moment, Xia Ping also walked into the classroom.

sōu sōu sōu!!! Immediately, all the students' eyes in the class focused on Xia Ping, filled with curiosity, doubt, and confusion.

Who didn't know how cruel and overbearing Bear Tyrant was? He was a school bully with terrifying strength whom no one dared to provoke — yet this guy dared to provoke him and even wanted to duel him.

Clearly, this guy was usually an ordinary student with unremarkable performance and no presence in class. Why did he suddenly do something so shocking?

"Xia Ping, I heard you plan to duel Bear Tyrant? Do you have any chance of winning?" a male student asked.

Nearby, Gao Wan — still angry from Xia Ping's earlier taunt — sneered: "Others want to test if someone can qualify as outstanding for Yanhuang University, but Bear Tyrant is nothing. Maybe Xia Ping can knock him down with one hand."

He looked at Xia Ping with ridicule — everyone knew he was being ironic.

Hearing this, many students laughed like it was a joke.

"Come on, don't ridicule Xia Ping," Yang Wei stood up acting like a good person: "After all, he's challenging Bear Tyrant. Just having that courage is honorable. At least I don't have that courage — I feel ashamed of my inferiority."

Other students laughed even more.

"Not convinced?" Xia Ping cast a sidelong glance at Gao Wan and Yang Wei.

"I bow to your sister!" Gao Wan exclaimed. "You're just acting all confident, biting off more than you can chew. Know your own limits. You want to test for Yanhuang University and defeat Bear Tyrant — who do you think you are?! You're only Martial Apprentice 3rd Heavenly Layer, an ordinary Third-Class University student struggling to get there. Yet you daydream about all this — wake up! A salted fish can't flip over."

"I can test into Yanhuang University and defeat Bear Tyrant — that's none of your business!" Xia Ping beckoned with his hand, uninterested in these people.

Seeing that Xia Ping remained so arrogant, Gao Wan was furious. This guy was so irritating, and mocking him as a dog was infuriating.

Yang Wei and Gao Wan were both furious to the point of nearly exploding, their noses crooked. This guy's mouth was too sharp — saying all kinds of things that might actually make other students believe them…
