Chapter 6 - Chapter 6: Taking Action

As Qin Yan's spaceship entered the planet's atmosphere.

The scene shifted to the Prodaranaphack Planet.

In an inconspicuous, remote area, there was a small village.

Not far from this small village, about ten kilometers to the west in the sky, a fierce battle was currently raging.

Two figures were clashing intensely in mid-air, the electric sparks and flying stones generated by their collisions visible to the naked eye. Thunderous sounds, like colliding clouds, echoed.

The two figures moved at extreme speed across the sky, too fast for ordinary human eyes to follow, their forms unseen, only their sounds heard.

When their figures finally became discernible, a human was seen struggling to parry the sharp claws of a four to five-meter-tall humanoid monster with a greatsword.

The human was already covered in blood and wounds, cold sweat streaming down his forehead, breathing rapidly, his aura chaotic. He appeared to be at the end of his rope, likely to fall in defeat soon.

The humanoid monster he was fighting had a pair of large wings, green skin, long red hair scattered over its shoulders, and a terrifying, bat-like face with a pair of vampire-like fangs protruding from its lips. It looked entirely like a demon.

The demon also appeared quite battered, covered in thick wounds with green blood constantly oozing from them. It was panting heavily, clearly having sustained significant injuries, but it was in much better condition than the human.

The human and the demon faced off like this, vying for their final strength, waiting to see who would collapse first.

Buzz! Buzz! Buzz!

Suddenly, a series of rumbling sounds came from the distant horizon, growing louder as they approached.

Startled by the sudden change, both the human and the monster turned their heads in unison towards the source of the sound on the horizon.

Soon, two massive fireballs burst from the clouds and sped towards their battleground with extreme velocity.

Just as the fireballs were about to strike them, the entangled human and monster quickly disengaged, creating a safe distance between them.

After they had moved apart, the fireballs passed between them. If they had reacted any later, both would likely have been hit.

It was no joke; even in their prime, being hit would mean death or severe injury.

The two fireballs soared over several hills before finally crashing into the nearby jungle. Immediately, dust billowed up, accompanied by two loud bangs.

The human and the monster watched the commotion from the jungle, bewildered and frozen in place, unsure of the situation. Each had their own thoughts, while maintaining a sliver of vigilance against the other, fearing a sudden attack.

Just then, the monster suddenly attacked, flashing next to the human and powerfully striking him with its wings.

Immediately, the human plummeted towards the ground like a kite with a broken string, creating a deep crater upon impact. His body was covered by shattered rocks and dust, his fate unknown.

He had sensed the monster's sudden attack, but the previous battle had exhausted him too much, and he was gravely wounded. It was already difficult just to keep his footing, and the monster's speed left him no time to react before he was sent flying.

After knocking the human away, the monster didn't care if he was dead or alive and quickly flew towards the jungle.

...

"Pressure adjustment complete. Hatch opening shortly."

A voice echoed from the safely landed spaceship.

Click!

With a sound, the spaceship hatch slowly opened.

Qin Yan straightened himself, stood up, and slowly floated out of the cabin.

As for why he could fly, it wasn't just the Saiyan's high-tech system that had implanted various combat techniques and Sky Dance Jutsu deep into his original body's consciousness. His mastery of ki, from months of cultivation, had already reached a superb level, making floating effortless.

Stepping out of the cabin, Qin Yan stood on familiar ground and took a long, deep breath of fresh air, feeling incredibly refreshed.

The long space journey had nearly suffocated him. If he hadn't cultivated, Qin Yan didn't know how he would have endured these past few months.

"Waaah!!!!!"

As Qin Yan was lost in thought, a burst of crying suddenly assailed his ears.

Following the sound of crying, he found a small Saiyan girl in another deep crater near his spaceship, wailing loudly from within a spaceship identical to his own.

Upon seeing this, Qin Yan quickly descended and carried her out of the spaceship.

Feeling herself moved, the little girl opened her tear-filled eyes. After a moment of dazed looking, she burst into loud sobs again, squirming restlessly as if resisting Qin Yan.

This left Qin Yan at a loss, his head aching. He couldn't just leave her there uncared for, so he had no choice but to silently endure it.

The commotion from the spaceship's landing and the little girl's cries inevitably attracted some creatures. To prevent any mishaps, Qin Yan decided to leave this place first.

Then, Qin Yan packed up his spaceship and tossed it into his Chaos Profound Mechanism Ring. Ever since he mastered the Grand Primeval Chaos Creation Dao Profound True Wonder Art, he had left a spiritual imprint on the ring to claim it as his own, so now he could use it.

After all that, Qin Yan was about to fly away when, suddenly, he sensed a powerful aura rapidly approaching. In no time, it appeared directly above them.

It was a tall, mighty monster with red hair and a pair of wings.

Qin Yan carefully observed the suddenly appearing strange monster. It was severely wounded, and its aura was chaotic and unstable.

He instantly assessed the monster's strength: currently about 150 points, and probably around 240 points at full power. Qin Yan didn't take such a small amount of strength seriously.

It seemed to be an uninvited guest drawn by the noise. He wondered what it intended to do.

Just then, the monster suddenly spoke.

"Hey! Kid, did anything crash here just now?"

"No," Qin Yan replied. As for why he could understand, no explanation was given—high technology spoke for itself.

"What? Nothing? Don't you dare lie to me, demon. If I find out you lied, this demon king will eat you in a minute," the monster threatened Qin Yan.

Demon king?

You?

Heh! Don't be funny. Qin Yan didn't take its words seriously at all.

"Really, nothing. See for yourself if you don't believe me." Qin Yan shrugged indifferently after looking around.

Suddenly, the monster's eyes fell upon the little girl in Qin Yan's arms. It sensed an extremely powerful life aura coming from this little one.

It was somewhat incredulous that a human child could possess such an aura. This child was clearly extraordinary. If it ate her, it could surely increase its own strength considerably.

"Kek! Kek! Kek!"

As it watched, it suddenly let out a terrifying laugh that sent shivers down one's spine.

Qin Yan was stunned, looking at the monster that was suddenly crying without tears. Why was it crying all of a sudden? He chuckled awkwardly, a bit bewildered.

Seriously? He just said no, that's all. No need to be so disappointed, right? Why did it suddenly start crying?

After the strange laughter ended, the monster's gaze upon Qin Yan and the little girl suddenly became abnormal, filled with a greedy and bloodthirsty aura, saliva nearly dripping from its mouth.

Qin Yan finally understood. It wasn't crying; it was eyeing them as prey.

Heh!

Qin Yan sneered. "You haven't been killed before, have you?"

"Hey! Kid, hand over the little one you're holding to this demon king, and I might spare your life." The demon king said arrogantly, completely disregarding Qin Yan. In its eyes, Qin Yan was no different from an ordinary human child, possessing no powerful or dangerous aura, like an ant, posing no threat to it at all.

"Her?"

Qin Yan looked at the little girl in his arms and responded.

"Yes."

"No."

"Good, you understand..."

"Huh? What did you say? Say that again."

Before it could finish "understand," the demon king suddenly snapped back, seemingly unable to believe what it had heard. This kid actually refused it.

"I said no." Qin Yan repeated, in case it hadn't heard clearly.

"You damned brat, making a fool of this demon king! You've successfully angered me. This demon king has decided to eat both of you!" The provoked demon king roared in fury, feeling its demon king's prestige utterly lost. With that, it lunged at Qin Yan and the girl, intending to devour them both in one go.

Facing the charging monster, Qin Yan stood still, unmoving.

The demon king thought Qin Yan was terrified by its imposing aura, frozen in fear. Its face filled with smugness, and it accelerated its attack.

Just as it was about to reach its target, Qin Yan suddenly vanished from his spot. The monster, unable to react in time, lunged into empty air, slamming its face directly into the dirt and falling face-first.

When it picked itself up, its face was covered in dust. Disregarding everything else, it frantically looked around for Qin Yan, unable to believe it had missed.

"Hey! What are you doing?"

Suddenly, a peculiar voice sounded from behind, startling the demon king. It leaped backward in a panic, landing some distance away, and stared at Qin Yan with a wary expression.

It was too bizarre. The demon king couldn't fathom how Qin Yan had suddenly appeared behind it, and what was more terrifying was that it hadn't felt a thing.

"Hmm, what's wrong, great demon king? Weren't you threatening to eat us? Why are you suddenly scared?" Qin Yan taunted, seeing its reaction.

"To deal with you, one finger is enough." Then, Qin Yan extended a single finger towards the self-proclaimed demon king.

This was intolerable.

Born a demon, it had never suffered such humiliation, especially from a weak human ant it usually despised.

"Roar!"

Thus, the demon king let out a furious roar, its demonic energy surging, and it lunged at Qin Yan again, unleashing a flurry of fierce attacks.

"Too slow!" Qin Yan remarked as he watched the demon king attack again.

And throughout the demon king's fierce assault, Qin Yan responded with just one finger.

No matter how powerful the demon king's attacks were, they couldn't budge Qin Yan an inch. His body remained entirely still.

This was clearly just Qin Yan toying with the demon king.

"Alright, I'm bored. This is far enough," Qin Yan said suddenly, after a long while of playing around.

Upon hearing this, the demon king froze, then felt a sharp pain in its abdomen.

It was from a heavy blow delivered by Qin Yan.

"Ugh!"

A mouthful of bitter water spewed from the demon king's mouth. Its massive body stumbled back repeatedly, finally collapsing onto its knees, hands struggling to support itself. It looked up, fear etched on its face, staring at Qin Yan who floated before it.

What was happening? It couldn't believe why this seemingly ordinary human child possessed such terrifying strength. It felt that even at its full power, it would be no match for the child before it.

"You shouldn't have provoked me." After saying that, Qin Yan slowly raised his tender palm, stopping it about a foot from the demon king's forehead.

Then, Qin Yan's aura suddenly surged, and a dazzling wave of light shot forth from his palm, instantly engulfing the demon king's entire body.

"No..." In endless resentment, the demon king dissipated between heaven and earth. It never imagined it would die like this, at the hands of a human child.

"Hoo!"

After dealing with the demon king, Qin Yan let out a breath.

"Seems I used a bit too much force," Qin Yan mused, looking at the long, barren gully he had carved into the earth, even taking out the hillside behind it.

Never mind, let's leave now! Otherwise, who knows what other trouble might arise.

Afterward, Qin Yan glanced back casually.

The reason was that a figure stood not far behind him.

It was the human who had been battling the demon king earlier.

Arriving later, he had witnessed a scene he would never forget, utterly stunned, his mouth agape, his jaw nearly hitting the ground, his eyes bulging.

The creature they had all fought to the death and couldn't defeat was instantly killed by a mere child with a single move. Was this a dream?

Had the world gone so mad?

Qin Yan had long since detected his presence and, seeing that he made no move, hadn't paid him much mind. As long as he didn't provoke him, it was fine.

If he made any unusual move, Qin Yan would eliminate him immediately.

Ignoring him, Qin Yan took the little girl and flew away, vanishing into the sky in the blink of an eye.

After Qin Yan and the girl had flown away, the human finally snapped back to reality, looking around, but the two figures were long gone.

He went to the spot to investigate. The demon king was long gone, turned to ashes, leaving only a long gully.

He wanted to chase after them, to find out who Qin Yan and the girl truly were, but he reconsidered, remembering his teammates were still gravely wounded and their fate uncertain.

His immediate priority was to return to his teammates, check on their condition, and provide timely rescue. He would make further plans afterward.

Soon after, he returned to the initial battleground, found his teammates—they weren't dead, just heavily injured and unconscious. He then carried them back.
