Chapter 32 - I Bought The City's Eyes

[Dragon Bay Villa - Command Center]

Alex stood in front of a massive wall of monitors. He was wearing a new combat suit—custom-made from Kevlar and silk, costing $200,000. It stretched perfectly over his new, muscular Titan Body.

"Luna," Alex said. "Where is he?"

"Target 'Vincent' has vanished," Luna reported, typing furiously on a holographic keyboard. "He is not using credit cards. He is not using a phone. He has gone dark."

Alex cracked his neck. The sound was like a gunshot.

"He thinks he can hide in my city?" Alex scoffed. "System. Open Shop."

[System Shop - Information Tab]

Global Hacker Protocol: 5,000 TP.

City-Wide Surveillance Access (God's View): 10,000 TP.

"Buy 'God's View'," Alex ordered.

[Purchase Confirmed. Deducting 10,000 TP.] [Integrating with City Infrastructure...]

Suddenly, the wall of monitors shifted. Alex wasn't looking at news channels anymore. He was looking at every traffic camera, every ATM camera, every convenience store CCTV, and every satellite feed in the city simultaneously.

Millions of eyes. All belonging to him.

"Filter," Alex commanded. "Search for biometric match: Vincent. Scar on left cheek. Height 6'1"."

The screens flickered rapidly.

Scanning Sector 1... Negative. Scanning Sector 2... Negative. Scanning Sector 4 (Industrial District)... Match Found.

A grainy video feed popped up. It showed an abandoned warehouse near the docks. A man in a black trench coat was dragging a screaming thug into the shadows.

It was Vincent.

"Found you," Alex smiled. It was the smile of a predator.

"He is feeding," Luna noted, her face pale. "The Plunder System requires victims to recharge."

"He won't finish his meal," Alex walked to the balcony.

"Sebastian!" Alex shouted. "Is the helicopter ready?"

"The helicopter is too slow, Master," Sebastian replied via intercom. "I have prepared the prototype military drone you purchased last week."

"No," Alex shook his head. "I want to look him in the eye."

Alex looked at the distance. The Industrial District was 10 miles away.

"Luna, hold on tight."

"Master?"

Alex grabbed Luna by the waist. He crouched down, the marble floor cracking under the pressure of his new leg muscles.

[Titan Body: 20% Output.]

BOOM.

Alex launched himself into the air. He didn't fly; he jumped. He soared across the Dragon Bay lake, landing on a skyscraper roof half a mile away with a thunderous crash.

"We are taking the express route," Alex laughed, feeling the wind against his face.

He leaped again, crossing the city in massive, Hulk-like bounds.

Tonight, the city would learn that its richest man was also its strongest.
