Chapter 29 - Chapter 29

The Confrontation on the Cliff

Xiao Yan, Nem, and Saint LuQi arrived at the cliff. The wind howled, carrying the echoes of a thousand-year-old battle. Beneath a solitary tree, the Ansha waited patiently. His blue robes flowed as if untouched by the storm.

"1000 years ago, it was this same place. It never ends," the Ansha said calmly.

"You're wrong. 1000 years ago, you pushed me over this cliff. This time, it will be different," Xiao Yan said, eyes blazing with determination.

The Ansha smiled, his movements fluid as he prepared himself. Xiao Yan charged, swinging with all his might—but the Ansha dodged effortlessly, delivering a swift kick that sent Xiao Yan sprawling to the ground.

Nem attacked from the side, but the Ansha brought him down immediately with a single strike. Both sides attempted to overwhelm him, yet the Ansha raised a hand. With one effortless motion, all attacks were blocked.

"You think you're powerful. This time, I'll win!" Xiao Yan shouted, desperation fueling his strikes.

At that moment, Saint LuQi rang the golden eternal bell. Its vibrations pierced the Ansha's ears, forcing a groan from him. Blood dripped slowly from his mouth as the bell's resonance disrupted his focus.

"Where did you get that from?" the Ansha hissed, staggering slightly.

LuQi continued ringing it louder. The Ansha strained, forcing his strength to defend against the constant vibrations. He fell to the ground, then rose again, only to be brought to his knees as the bell's toll grew relentless.

Xiao Yan approached cautiously. "Ansha! You've caused too much turmoil in this world. It's time for the righteous to prevail."

"Righteous? There is no righteous one among you. All of you shall…" the Ansha began, but the bell's sound cut him off.

"Xiao Yan, kill him now!" Nem shouted, desperation in his voice.

"I… I will still—" Xiao Yan tried to speak, but the bell's toll forced another groan from the Ansha.

With trembling hands, Xiao Yan raised his sword. His eyes burned with determination. The moment had come. The battle to end the Ansha's tyranny—and to finally bring justice—was at hand.
