What Cannot Be Said
"Mi-An…"
She looked away.
"Why did you do it?" she asked softly.
"What?" Xiao Yan said, confused.
"You lost control. You didn't even know what you were doing."
"I saw him hurting you."
"…Even so."
She hesitated.
"So… do you remember anything now?"
"No."
Her expression shattered.
"You're blaming me now?" Xiao Yan snapped. "Why are you defending the Ansha?!"
"You've already killed him," she whispered. "It doesn't matter anymore."
"Mi-An, tell me the truth!"
She broke down.
"I'm sorry."
"M-Mi-An… sorry for what?"
"For everything. You've had your revenge… I don't know why I'm still sad."
"Tell me what's wrong!"
"Even if I did," she said through tears, "you wouldn't believe me."
She turned away.
"Mi-An!"
"Don't follow me," she said coldly.
"If you do… I'll kill myself."
"Mi-An! Mi-An!!"
She vanished.
Xiao Yan collapsed to his knees, watching her leave—his heart breaking in silence.
