Chapter 2 - part 2

Part-2

She kept turning the pages of Gyarah Gyarah, completely unaware of how quickly the hours slipped by. It was only when the shopkeeper gently called out to her that she looked up and realised it was already 10 p.m. Lost in the story, she hadn't noticed anything else.

With a small sigh, Yoon slid the book back onto the shelf. She knew that if she took it home, her sister would snatch it away before she could even finish the book. With a quiet breath, she stepped out of the shop and walked home through the dimly lit streets.

She didn't speak a word when she entered the house. Not to her mother. Not to her father. She simply drifted to her room, her thoughts louder than anything around her. And in those thoughts, one name kept echoing. That's Kim Namjoon. For the first time, she found herself thinking about someone so intensely. The way he moved in her mind, the way his character lingered on every page, something about him had carved a space inside her. And before she could even understand it, he became her first crush.

Days slipped by in the same gentle rhythm. Every evening, yoon found herself back in the little bookshop, disappearing in the world of her first crush. At college, she would talk endlessly with her friends, and her best friend Anya who is always patient, always eager and listened to every detail that yoon tells as if it were her own love story. In fact, Anya was more excited than Yoon herself, teasing her every chance she got.

In all her twenty years, Kim Namjoon was the first person to make Yoon's heart flutter. Just thinking of him warmed her from the inside, and her smile would lit up before she even noticed.

One quiet afternoon, she was nearing the final pages of Gyarah Gyarah. The author had described his character so beautifully that yoon couldn't help but wonder who had written something that felt so real, so close to her heart. When she finally reached the last page, she froze, there was a small hint, a secret clue, pointing toward the next part of the story. She read the line aloud, excitement rushing through her, and immediately searched the shelves for the sequel. But there was nothing. No second part, no continuation. Only silence. A little disappointed was clearly seen in her face, she left the book in its place and stepped outside, heading home. And just as the door closed behind her, a soft shimmer ran across the walls, and then a sudden bloom of golden light filled the space it was warm, glowing, almost unreal. It wasn't harsh or bright, it was gentle, like the moment before a dream begins. As if the story she loved wasn't over at all. As if something or someone was about to come to life.
