Chapter : 9 .
Narrator's Monologue:
To escape from those one million Titans, an entire city was imprisoned behind a wall that was impossible to break or cross. The remnants of humanity were locked away, living a life 400 years in the past, with no knowledge of what lay on the other side. It had been 13 years since these humans were displaced from their original timeline.
Suddenly, a Titan emerged among the humans—a phenomenon known only to Doctor Suhon. This Titan was being controlled from the heart of an innocent girl named Mena. Was Mena always a Titan, or was she turned into one? If the walls hadn't been built, those million Titans would have crushed all of humanity, but the city was saved. The wealthy elite, who didn't realize they had entered an era where money and fame meant nothing, were now forced to live helplessly behind the wall.
Doctor Suhon, a famous scientist, had yet to find a way back to the future timeline. Meanwhile, those who believed that Suha's death was the key to their return never accepted this new life; they only craved her death. They never understood that the timeline had nothing to do with Suha's heartbeat. Their ignorance would lead to their deaths at the hands of an 11-year-old boy named Hokan—who might be humanity's last hope... or its end. Now, Doctor Suhon must uncover the truth behind Mena's transformation.
Doctor Suhon (To himself): "Was Mena a Titan from the start, or was she made into one? What happened to this innocent child? If the people of the city find out, they will kill her. But no one has entered from outside these walls in 13 years, so who turned her? She only ate Mr. Chayon, Hokan's grandfather and her own uncle. Was she with him when she transformed? If Mr. Chayon made her a Titan, where did he get the power? And why would he do such a thing? Wait... look at her chest and arm—they have completely recovered. She has no clothes; I must get some for her."
(Doctor Suhon returned with clothes, only to find the spot empty.)
Doctor Suhon (Stunned): "Where did Mena go? Oh no! If anyone sees her like this, it will be a disaster. I must find her!"
(He searched until he saw Mena walking away.)
Doctor Suhon: "Mena! Stop! Where are you going?"
(Mena did not stop. Suhon ran ahead, blocked her path, and grabbed her arms.)
Doctor Suhon: "Mena, stop! Where are you going? It's me, Doctor Suhon. Don't you recognize me?"
Mena: "Let me go... I have to kill them."
Doctor Suhon: "What? What are you saying? Who do you have to kill?"
Mena: "I told you, let me go! I have to kill Suha and Hokan. I must fulfill the order!"
Doctor Suhon (Terrified, shaking her): "Wake up, Mena! Do you know what you're saying? Hokan is your best friend! Why would you kill him? Under whose orders are you doing this?"
(Mena fainted as she spoke.)
Mena: "I... I must kill them both..."
Doctor Suhon: "She fainted. But it's certain—someone gave her this order before the transformation. Did Mr. Chayon do this? It's possible; he hated Suha and Hokan and wanted them dead. Mena was with him when she turned, and in her Titan form, she was holding him. It means Mr. Chayon made her a Titan and ordered her to eat them, but the power was too heavy for a child's body. She lost her senses and ate Mr. Chayon instead. But now that she's awake, she wants to fulfill the order. I must hide this. I can only tell Suha and Hokan. The real truth can only be told by Mena."
(Later, in the underground room.)
Suha (Surprised): "Did Mena survive that Titan's attack?"
Doctor Suhon: "How could she not... when Mena was the Titan?"
Suha: "Wait a minute... what are you saying?"
(Doctor Suhon explained everything to Suha.)
Suha: "So, she was made into a Titan to kill us? I still can't believe Mr. Chayon would do this."
Doctor Suhon: "I find it hard to believe too, but only Mena can tell us what really happened. Since she was with him when she transformed, we must assume he turned her and ordered her to eat you and your son. But where did Mr. Chayon get the power to create a Titan?"
Doctor Suhon: "We'll find that out later. First, we must understand Mena's Titan power. Suha, can you hold her hand and sense what this power actually is?"
Suha: "If this power is linked to the Kaluter Demon, I can find out. I did the same with my husband's power. I will try."
(Suha took the fainted Mena's hand and closed her eyes. After a minute, she snapped them open.)
Doctor Suhon: "Tell me, Suha. Did you find anything?"
Suha: "What I feared has happened. This Titan is directly linked to the Kaluter Demon and their blood. This isn't a normal Titan; it's extremely dangerous. To activate it, there must be an order, and the host must hold their breath for 10 seconds. If we ordered Mena to destroy the city and she held her breath, she would become a Titan powerful enough to do exactly that. She was ordered to kill me and Hokan, and her breath was stopped, so she transformed with just enough power for that task. During the first unlock, the host loses control—that's why she ate her uncle. But a person can only get this power if Titan blood is injected into their heart."
Doctor Suhon: "So someone put Titan blood in her heart. Did Mr. Chayon do it? But where did he get the blood?"
Suha: "I don't know, but if the order in her mind isn't erased, she might transform again the moment she wakes up. Once a Titan is activated with an order, it won't leave the human body until the task is complete. The host cannot come out by choice. If my son hadn't sliced the Titan open to pull her out, she wouldn't have stopped until we were both dead."
Doctor Suhon: "We must erase that order from her mind, or she will turn again. Suha, can you do it?"
Suha: "Yes, I can do something. Because of the Kaluter blood in her heart, I can erase memories. Wait—I can also see her memories! Since we both share Kaluter DNA, I can look into her past."
Doctor Suhon: "Are you sure you can do this?"
Suha: "I will try my best to see her memories and delete the order."
(Suha placed one hand on Mena's head and the other on her heart. After 5 minutes, Suha jumped back in terror.)
Doctor Suhon: "What happened, Suha? Why are you so scared?"
Suha (Trembling): "It really was... Mr. Chayon. He is the one who did this..."
.After Hokan took the lives of five thousand people, Mr. Chayon and Mena were heading back to their home.
Mena: "Listen, Uncle. Can I go to Hokan and Aunty Suha? I'm worried about them."
Mr. Chayon: "Have you lost your mind? Didn't you see how dangerous Hokan is? He took five thousand lives in a single instant, and you want to go to him?"
Mena: "But why didn't he kill me or you? He killed everyone else, but he spared us because we are his own people."
Mr. Chayon: "Don't talk nonsense! We only survived because of our luck. Both Hokan and Suha must die. If they remain alive, the rest of humanity will be destroyed."
Mena: "But the only one who can save what's left of humanity is Hokan! I believe in him. He will be the one to rebuild the world in a new way."
(Hearing this, Mr. Chayon stopped walking and lowered his head, his voice turning cold.)
Mr. Chayon: "So, you think the son of a Demon will save humanity and become the hope of this world? That will never happen... because I am going to make you kill Hokan and Suha with your own hands."
Mena (Trembling): "What are you saying, Uncle? Why would I kill them? I would never do such a thing!"
Mr. Chayon: "I know you won't do it just because I asked. But I have something that will make you powerful—something that will force you to fulfill my order."
Mena: "What do you have that could make me obey such an order?"
Mr. Chayon: "I know this will cause you immense pain, but it must be done. I never wanted to use this, but now I have no choice."
Mena: "What are you going to do to me?"
(As she spoke, Mr. Chayon pulled out a syringe.)
Mr. Chayon: "Look at this. This is a syringe containing Titan Blood—a specific kind that follows orders. Forgive me, Mena, but I am turning you into a Titan right now."
(Mena began to back away in terror.)
Mena: "No! You won't do this to me! I won't let it happen! I have to go!"
Mr. Chayon (Laughing): "It's no use now. You have to do this. And if you really don't want to, then come here, take this needle, and plunge it into the center of my heart! Give me the order to kill them. You have two paths: become a Titan yourself and kill them, or turn me into one and give the order."
Mena: "I won't do either! Please, just forget all of this!"
Mr. Chayon (Angry): "Then you leave me no choice but to use force. And Mena... you won't die from this."
Mena: "Where did you even get that Titan Blood?"
Mr. Chayon: "There is a long story behind it. Once you kill Suha and Hokan and return to normal, I will tell you everything."
(Mena tried to run, but Mr. Chayon was too fast. He tackled her to the ground.)
Mena (Screaming): "Please don't do this! How can you be so heartless? Let me go!"
Mr. Chayon (Tears in his eyes): "Forgive me, Mena. But to save humanity, we must do this. I have already lost one son; I don't want to lose you. The power I am giving you will make you immortal. You will be the savior of mankind."
(With those words, he plunged the needle into Mena's chest, injecting the blood into her heart. He then covered her nose and mouth with his hands, cutting off her breath.)
Mr. Chayon: "Now go, Mena! Kill Suha and Hokan! This is my order!"
(As ten seconds passed, veins began erupting from Mena's chest. The Titan was born from her heart, but Mena had no control. In her mindless state, she devoured Mr. Chayon first.)
Back to the Present:
(After Suha finished telling the story to Doctor Suhon, he was stunned.)
Doctor Suhon: "So Mena lost all control after transforming and ate Mr. Chayon. But the question remains: where did a man like him get Titan Blood? Unfortunately, we are in an era where science hasn't progressed enough. I don't even have the equipment to test Mena's blood."
Suha: "Don't worry. I have removed the order from Mena's heart and mind. She is normal now. But this power is terrifying. If I were to stop her breath and order her to break the wall surrounding Japan, her power would do anything to fulfill that task. But Mena is just a child; the pressure of such a massive order might kill her. The Titan becomes as powerful as the task it is given. An order to destroy the wall would make the Titan incredibly strong, but Mena's body wouldn't be able to handle it."
Doctor Suhon: "Then we must use this power very carefully. What should we do with Mena? Should we tell her and Hokan the truth?"
Suha: "For now, we tell them nothing. We'll wait for the right time. Right now, we need to find out where Mr. Chayon got that Kaluter Titan blood."
Doctor Suhon: "Should we search his house?"
Suha: "Yes, that's a good idea. We might find a clue there."
Doctor Suhon: "I'll send my men immediately. You look after the children while I give the orders."
(As Doctor Suhon turned toward the door, he saw a figure standing there, silhouetted by the sunlight like a shadow.)
Doctor Suhon: "Who is that? I need to get a closer look."
(As he approached, his eyes widened in absolute shock. Standing before him was... Mr. Chayon.)
