It was around 10 pm in the evening and the party was still on going. The party has invited many individuals who could become either enemies or allies. I sat across the sofa right beside Rui. Even though he had been wrongly placed in one of the lowest class he didn't complain.
Or rather he had grown accustomed to that treatment. He treated this as if this was one challenge he had overcome. I won't doubt his academic and social intelligence but the people in front are extremely hard to deal with.
Especially Max, Ai and Eigi. But maybe he and Christina can close the distance between the class points. But then I only have a year and half in the Star, Moon and Northern kingdom. After I am 12, I would inevitably leave these things behind me. At that time I would be searching for the kingdom of my late parents. With Tsubaki here I guess that would be rather simple. Considering she knows my background and maybe she is related to me.
"What do you think of the party?" Max asked as he felt quite uncomfortable.
"I think it is too girly." I said that, as to dispel the unwanted attention I had received from my friends.
"Sure but you know the fact that the school produced, right." Eigi said as he managed to figure out a crucial fact.
"What do you mean."
"In the ranking system they purposefully arranged all the classes but the hidden message is to join classes."
"Can you break it down more properly." said Eiichiro.
"What he meant was that the top 3 classes should team up with the top 3 lower classes. Example; class A should join class D, and the other classes should follow in that order." I explained his theory.
"That actually makes a lot of sense." Nanase said.
"So naturally we would join up with class D right," Ai said as she began to analyze the situation.
"So Rial's class and mine would be teaming up,huh. Max said with a chuckle.
This is all good and fine but why does this party feel so fluffy, the current situation seems like a stuffed animal party. This thought was comfortable to some of my friends it felt the opposite for me.
I have to breathe some fresh air, but just as I was about to Tsubaki went first.
"Yo guys I am going out for some fresh air." She said.
"Yeah I am stepping out for a while." I said this while aiming for the rest room behind the back room.
After I finished my business in the restroom I went to the roof top. My intention there was to star gaze for a while before back. Just as I opened the door, the familiar scent of Tsubaki welcomed me.
"What are you doing here."
"I often star gaze in the Star kingdom so I was trying to do the same here." I quickly explained myself. The feeling was really awkward between us, until I tried to start a conversation.
"Have you ever been to Yagumo before?" I asked because for some reason I felt that I could open up with her.
"I have been there once but not for long and I don't really trust my memories since it is about 7 years ago." She explained the circumstances of the situation and it was surprisingly complex.
"Is that so." I said.
"Yes and you haven't either, have you?"
"No I haven't even seen a picture only seen it through maps and landscapes."
How nostalgic you are quite comfortable to communicate with. At first I just thought I would just keep my distance.
"Why are you looking at me so piercingly."
"Oh nothing forgive me for my rudeness."
"You have nothing to apologize about."
It is certain that just now she had completed her view of me.
"What are you two doing over there." Ichika asked while walking in our direction.
"We are just seeing the stars in the sky."
"Star gazing how adorable."She said.
Just as she came she had brought her cheerful yet playful persona here. I don't know but at that moment I felt like I shouldn't trust her. Then again she is in Max's class so I will leave that to him.
"Anyways I am leaving now so make sure to get along over your country."
"Sure"
"You can trust her if you want but just make sure to not get on her bad side."
"What do you mean?"
"Ichika is a girl who doesn't take no for an answer." She said.
"So Tsubaki how long have you known Ichika.
"As long as the queen had been on power."
"You mean queen Cecilia raised you."
"Not quite she didn't raise us, her maids did."
"Oh so that's how you know her so well."
"Yep"
Well looks like we should hurry back to the party.
"Let go."
"Yeah"
"They all went to sleep after the party but just before they slept they checked and received their uniforms. It is a black and blue jeans with a pure white top which is backed up with a cool blue jacket. But Rial changed his style.
Instead of the normal uniform they were given he chose to go with a blue and black jeans but with black outlines in it. He still wore the white top but changed the jacket. Instead he wore black, red and blue zip jacket. Which somehow fixed him more than the regular uniform.
And although normally this won't be pleasing, that was still the uniform there wasn't any violation. Not even him did that because people such as Eigi, Max, Tsubaki, Ichika, Eiichiro and Kakashi changed most of their uniform. Especially the jeans and jackets.
Section A: Class C introduction
The next day would be the busiest day we all would have since we ever started attending the academy. Something is off about the day though but I do not know what it is.
Well, I have to get out of bed and start doing my morning routine. I got out of bed and went straight away to the wash room. Then I brushed my teeth and took a bath, after I put on half my uniform and prepare breakfast. Not wanting to get any spillings to get on the uniform.
After breakfast I made sure to arrange a mat for some exercise on my body. First I checked to make sure, if the mat is laid correctly. Then I decided the first exercise could be push-ups. Now knowing my choice of exercise, I laid forward on the mat then stretch my body upwards. With a push forward I raised my arms then as they were earlier I blended them down once more. This marks one push-up, 14 lefts to complete my daily exercise. After about 4 minutes I finished the exercise, now to do high jumps, sword swings and martial arts exercise.
For all the exercise I managed to train my body in order to get stronger daily. This also allows me to manipulate magic essence better. It also gives me more strength to control the large amount of mana "Garmash" released into me. Even so I need to ask him some questions regarding the Yagumo kingdom.
"Yagumo you say." Suddenly I was transported into my subconscious."
"You know, a little warning would be nice." I blurred out to him. Anyway why do I feel so warm around here.
"Because it is your own mind." He said.
"Huh, can you explain further."
"Listen carefully. Your mind is the safest place in existence, that is because in your mind you can be anyone you want. Be yourself, picture the perfect future and do many things that the real world cannot offer. Like how magic essence works." He explained. His explanation made sense when he added the example of the magic essence phenomenon.
"So like how you can create elemental attacks using mana and shaping it to your liking."
"Exactly."
"Right, do you know about the people of the Yagumo kingdom?"
"You mean the girl you saw the party?"
"Yeah."
"Well yes, she is from the Yagumo kingdom."
"How do you know?" I asked.
"After you saw her, I sensed a faint present of my magic in her." He said as he kept sleeping behind the river between us.
"Can you explain?"
"Most of the people in Yagumo have a fraction of my power but just barely. Some also have the pure eye. Or another way to identify them is to look for a two haired person. That might be a Yagumo citizen depending on his background." I said.
"So apparently she has all the criteria."
"Yes but her pure eyes aren't developed as yours, her is level 2." He said.
"How do you know all this." I asked.
"I live in you so everything you see I see too but only I see in greater perspective than you." He said.
"Okay now I get it."
"Sure but you should really hurry to school now."
"Oh... sure.
Max's perspective:
What is manipulation really?
Ideologically some people say it is a bad thing to do, since it is a form of lie.
But I refused the perspective every time. Because to understand it, you should know the meaning.
First of all, manipulating is the act of using someone as a tool to accomplish their goals. That is the way people see manipulation but this is the real meaning.
Manipulation is the use of devious or underhanded tactics to control or influence someone's thoughts, emotions, or behaviour for one's own advantage.
They are similar but then there is the analysis, who analyze their surroundings and works like manipulators. Almost all the time analysis and manipulators often clash.
A perfect example would be Ayanokoji and Sakayanagi. They met and clashed but in the end the strong devoured the weak of the two.
Another perfect example would be me and Rial, of course we haven't clashed yet and to be honest I do not know who would come up on top. Rial sharp thinking, analysis, intuition would be hard to deal with. I am sure my adaptability, creativity, and control could be hard on his side.
If I am being honest his only weakness is his inability to manipulate, but then again he tells people the truth. Which forces them to do the right thing, which would lead to the best outcome on his side.
Hmm.. what an interesting specimen.
Rial's perspective:
Finally after 30 minutes, I had arrived at the school building. On my way I was Rui walking with Christina. They were conversing over how to operate properly with Ai and Eigi class. Knowing that if I joined them that would be basically "spying" so I decided to run to class. On my way to class I met with Lily, who was walking to the classroom we were both assigned.
"This class is so pretty."Lily said.
"So colourful," Tsubaki who just arrived said.
"You know that is coming from the sun right." I said.
"What do you know?"
"The window reflects all the colours in the colour spectrum in the sun. Then the window reflects the light into the classroom." My explanation was short but I ,ade sure that they both understood the meaning.
"That is really smart." Tsubeki complimented me.
"Thanks."
Then suddenly a tall man came into the class and greeted us, I guess he is our homeroom teacher. After I took a good long glance at his face I realised that it was Mr Lugh. My formal homeroom teacher's fiance.
"Hi class. I am going to be your homeroom teacher for this class for the rest of the year." He said that as he took in deep breaths.
Was he nauseous. I asked myself.
"Class can you introduce yourself. Starting from the back." He asked the class.
Why me first?
Well there is no backing down now, is it.
"H-hi class. My name is Rial, no last name. I am from the Yagumo kingdom but I was born in the Star kingdom." I had mentioned all the things they needed to know.
"Then I will go then. Hello everybody, my name is Lily. As you know I am from the Moon kingdom. I am also the leader of the research company located there." Lily had completely turned away the bad attention I was about to get from. The bad introduction I had given.
With a silent voice I said
"Thanks"
"No problem." She said.
Tsubaki who sat next to me also stood up.
"Hi everyone, my name is Tsubaki Karasuki. Like Rial, I am also from the Yagumo kingdom." She like me said the necessary things they needed.
After a few minutes everybody had introduced themselves and the class started to make their friend groups. But I had no interest in such far fetched fantasies.
