A month has passed since we started this school.
All the activities of a normal school have been established and performed in the institution of education. This school has many things or advantages a normal school doesn't but still there are disadvantages. Examples include long essay assignments, group assignments, etc.
Today is one of those long exhausting days where you just wanna go home, relax and play some games. The teacher himself isn't boring, the lesson itself is the boring one. We had touched a rather interesting topic, a topic I learned back from earth. Biology and chemistry.
"Subatomic form when two atoms meet and make a chemical reaction." Said Sir Lugh.
Lily who had grown tired of the lesson had fallen asleep on her chair. Tsubaki was paying as much attention as a student possibly would. While Lee paid attention but not enough to swallow on the whole lesson. Rio, the brother of the teacher paid more attention than anybody. I guess he is afraid of being called a non serious student.
"Alright everybody, the homework would be sent to your phones and it is due on Wednesday." He said while knowing at the front door. "Oh yeah before I forget," he suddenly stopped in his tracks.
"There is an upcoming exam. This will be your first exam but this will be the hardest exam you ever have to write yet. But it is also the easiest exam for you." Said he.
Judging by his voice this exam will be hard, harder than just passing a written exam.
"This exam is a written exam. The exam allows the top lower classes to choose one of the big classes. To compete, the exam will be divided into three class battles. But your objective isn't to beat the other classes but your rivals you are working with." That all ha said then he disappeared.
"What was that." Rio asked.
"An explanation of the upcoming exam of death," said Lily.
"What do you mean by death?" Asked Jowl.
"If you get below the mark the school wants you will be expelled permanently." I said.
"Wait you could be expelled if you get below 60." Lee asked.
"Yeah it was in the guide book when we arrived here." I said.
"Looks like we better start planning." Said Tsubaki. Her mind was racing, it was as if she was trying to walk a marathon in her mind.
"Well looks like we better hit the books." I said.
Suddenly Tsubaki called out to the two of us.
"Rial, Lily can you meet me at the coffee shop later." She suddenly asked. "Sure," said Lily.
We had 30 minutes left of school and we still haven't finished with our notes.
The test is really simple once you actually get to break all of them down into steps.
Step 1 is to find the perfect partner class for this exam; a class that is strong but you yourself is comfortable that you can beat.
Step 2 is the most trickiest of all the steps. In this stage you must find the perfect partners in both classes. You must analyze your enemy's strengths and weaknesses. That must also be done in your class.
Step 3 is the most simple yet, you must partner up your class's biggest strength against your enemy's biggest weakness. But let your lowest students do nothing and allow their strength to do all the work.
This is the best way to win this exam. Well anyway I must go to the cafe.
I arrived at the cafe at noon after school. I watched from the window where I could see Tsubaki and Lily sitting with Ai and Eigi's groups. At first I didn't want to go inside but my curiosity won the better of me.
"There he is,"said Ai.
"Hmm."
"What was that?"
In my mind I was wondering what they were doing with the enemy class. Even though if they are friends, it does excuse the possibility that they must try to extract information. And then I have been watching Eigi with our shared pure eyes so I can't really judge them can I.
"I thought you would be already drinking your coffee."
"No we waited until you arrived." Ai said.
"You are being surprisingly charty nowadays."
"Yes come to think of it, you are talking more than usual," Eigi said with a smile on his face.
"That is because you are here with me."Ai said as she looked at Eigi.
"Oh!"
"No romance here please." Said Tsubaki.
"Do you have any ideas of how to solve exams?"
There are many couples of ways, but let's see how you both think in critical moments.
"We can partner up with class S and let them do most of the work and do the little that we can." Said Lily.
"That's good but they can also win the exams entirely with that, so go on."I said.
Making them do all the work would give them a massive gap between the classes.
"We could partner up with a strong class but we could make them share the responsibilities." Ai said.
"That's good but they could also say they want to join another class." said Eigi.
"Do you two have anyways to solve this, since you keep rejecting our ideas.
"You could mix both ideas and share the responsibilities but make your class seem to have the most contributions." I said.
"Or you could analyze the enemies strongest students and pair them up with your weakest students,"said Eigi.
"Yeah we will go with your plan Eigi but Rial plan will be added."Lily said as she thought of a plan.
"Rial send Max a message."
"Already did."
"Okay then good bye." Said Tsubaki.
After the meeting around 8 pm I had arranged to meet with Max and Kakashi in my room. The key reason was how much Kakashi was doing since the Queen's incidence. To be honest he had surprised everyone by not taking it too deeply.
Yeah, he still wanted revenge but not as much as earlier.
After the encounter with Rushed, he had grown closer to Princess Flora, making him another lover boy. But every time that is mentioned he declined it, saying they are just friends. Max had already agreed to the proposal so this would be just an evaluation of how the exams would go.
"So this exam allows us to partner-up right,"said Kakashi who just started thinking of ways so counter class D. Class D was a rather good class in terms of academics and physical education. The reason why they ended up in class D is because they lack discipline and respect. This school rather takes only merits so their lack of advantages rather held them back.
But that could be said but Kakashi's class B. Class B is a class of good qualities, only beaten by class S, and A by a rather small margin. The inability of physical strength held back to class B. But they stand a chance against class A but maybe this exam will change the class ranking. Maybe, maybe not. But it would be rather interesting to see that would change the system.
"But still Rial we have to be careful of who we partner with." Max said, he looked deep in thought. This will be hard since we don't know how many of them there are. Plus there are some in my class and his class. For some reason Eigi would be in trouble if he gets involved in this.
"I have one idea." Said Kakashi. "Why don't two partners up?"
"If we did that would destroy the balance of the classes." Max explained it to him.
"Wait why dom't we say we already have partners until the start day but about 2 days before the exam we say our partner is sick they can't write." I said.
"That would be a good idea and it would buy us some time." Said Max.
The man and the queen had arranged the hardest exam not just for the school but especially for us. Because in scenario 1: if our partners don't show up in the exam we automatically fail the exam and will get expelled. Scenario 2: if we choose a partner but the partner ends up becoming one of the spies. They can either choose to get over 50 or downwards. Which is an automatic failure, or they can choose to resign from the exam which would make us.
The queen had really surrounded us, but even if she wins at the end. It doesn't even touch the surface of my shirt. Because in short I really don't care about neither class rankings nor the school itself. Even if Max is captured, I know he could free himself so I really do not care. The only reason why I am attending this school is to get my credit and get information on the higher-ups.
"Well... do you know anyone who might be the spy?" asked Kakashi.
"I asked Eigi to search for me, but I haven't received any information yet." I said.
"Alright just keep me informed." Asked Max.
