Nyra had learned long ago how to watch without being noticed.
It was not something the triplets had ever questioned, not when it had always worked in their favor, not when her silence had once meant loyalty instead of observation.
But now, that same silence served a different purpose.
She carried it carefully as she studied them from a distance that was close enough to feel… and far enough to see clearly.
Something had shifted.
They hadn't said it out loud, hadn't acknowledged it in any direct way, but she could see it in the way their attention moved, in the way their focus no longer settled as easily as it once had. It drifted now, pulled elsewhere, returning again and again to the same place.
To her.
Selena.
