THRONES: CURRENT STATE OF THE WORLD
CLASSIFICATION: SIGMA-PRIMERESTRICTED ACCESS
The world did not end at the moment of the Interruption. It was forcibly reorganized.
The events that led to the emergence of the Thrones did not follow patterns of invasion, natural catastrophe, or conventional war. Where a Throne manifests, there is no immediate destruction. What is observed instead is a gradual replacement of reality — physical laws give way to older, symbolic principles, deeply hostile to human structure.
Thrones are not ruins. They are monuments.
Impossible architectures rise alongside the ontological breach: colossi of non-Euclidean geometry, vertical cities with no apparent function, organic pillars, halls that breathe, staircases that lead nowhere. Even amid chaos, Thrones produce life. Entire ecosystems emerge around them — flora, fauna, and entities that did not exist before, all aligned with the internal logic of that Throne.
This life is not a side effect. It is part of the process.
At the core of every Throne resides an entity in gestation: a Lord.
Lords are not rulers in the political sense. They are absolute conceptual incarnations — war, permanence, dream, flesh, submission, time, dissolution. When a Lord reaches full maturity, the Throne ceases to be an unstable zone and becomes a definitive state of reality. No subsequent containment is possible. The entire affected region enters irreversible ontological collapse.
It was the First Era that revealed this truth.
Before the existence of the March, of Cruzmagnum, or of any protocol, Thrones emerged in a raw state. Lords awakened at their peak — complete, conscious, and free to impose their will. Entire civilizations were erased without leaving a trace. The world was not prepared — and it did not survive intact.
It was in this scenario that the heroes of the First Era arose.
They did not inherit maps. They created them.
These first Ascended and Anomalous advanced where no one had advanced before, confronting Lords in their complete forms. Each confrontation was absolute. There was no possible containment — only direct confrontation, sacrifice, and irreversible loss.
From these battles was born what we now call the Route of the Fallen Kings.
The Route was not planned. It was walked.
Each point along the Route marks the fall of a Lord at its peak — not its total destruction, but its forced fragmentation. The heroes of the First Era did not eliminate the Lords; they broke them apart, scattering their concepts, weakening their manifestation, and preventing reality from being consumed all at once.
This achievement paved the future.
The Lords faced in subsequent eras were no longer whole. They were echoes, mutilated avatars, entities deprived of their totality. Still lethal, still capable of devastating the world, but infinitely more containable than their predecessors.
Humanity lives today upon this sacrifice.
From these confrontations also arose the phenomenon of the Ascended — functional reincarnations of divine entities. Each Ascended carries within themselves the continuity of an ancient archetype. The god does not communicate. It exists. Athena Novaguarda, current number one in the global ranking, does not channel Athena: she is her living manifestation.
In parallel, the Anomalous emerged — individuals whose powers derive from chaotic sources: false gods, malevolent entities, ancient cults, demonic possessions, or fusions with mythical creatures. Their powers are unstable, often grotesque, but strategically valuable. In certain contexts, Anomalous have proven as effective as Ascended.
The March was created as a direct legacy of the First Era.
Once per annual cycle, human forces advance against active Thrones along the Route of the Fallen Kings. The objective is not victory. It is maintenance. Each intervention prevents the remaining fragments of the Lords from recovering their full form.
Important to record:The March is only possible because the Lords were already defeated once — at the moment when they were strongest.
Six months ago, this balance was threatened.
A Throne emerged outside the established Route. With no reliable historical precedents, containment extended beyond acceptable limits. Veteran Ascended were lost. Anomalous collapsed. Protocols failed. Containment was declared successful, but the consequences are still being assessed.
The global ranking was redrawn. The illusion of stability was broken.
The next March approaches.
Resources are being reallocated. Ascended and Anomalous are being summoned earlier than ideal. The population does not know the details, but feels the weight in the air.
The Thrones remain silent. And that has never been a good sign.
Containment continues.
Present day.
The annual cycle of the March is officially delayed. For the first time since its institutionalization, the calendar of the Route of the Fallen Kings was not initiated within the expected period. The cause is known internally, though treated with caution in public communications: six months ago, a Throne manifested outside the established Route.
The anomaly shattered fundamental assumptions of modern containment. With no prior points of conceptual weakening, no properly mapped layers, the Throne demanded an immediate and prolonged response. Veteran Ascended were deployed in succession. Many returned mutilated. Others did not return. A significant number were forced into compulsory retirement, whether due to physical collapse, Gateform failure, or irreversible ontological compromise.
Containment was declared successful. The cost, however, reshaped the top of the world.
As a direct consequence, the global ranking of Ascended underwent its greatest restructuring since the post–First Era. Positions once considered immutable were opened. Historic names vanished from active lists. For the first time in decades, the Top 20 represented not only power — but survival.
This context transformed the Annual Festival of the March.
Traditionally conceived as a rite of passage, a celebration, and a symbolic reaffirmation of human supremacy over the Thrones, the festival of this cycle carried a different weight. Associations, agencies, and governments from across the planet converged not merely by tradition, but by political and psychological necessity. The world needed to see faces. It needed names. It needed to believe that there were still pillars holding up the abyss.
The official announcement of the new Top 20 strongest Ascended in the world became the epicenter of the event. Each position was received like a sentence: applause, silence, or murmurs depending on the name announced. The press treated the Ascended as absolute celebrities — heroes, weapons, living myths. Among them all, however, there was one unquestionable constant:Athena Novaguarda remained in first place — immutable, tireless, the ultimate symbol of continuity in a world that was beginning to fail.
With the festival concluded, the ceremony that truly mattered to Cruzmagnum began.
The graduation of the White Banners.
Cadets who had survived the previous cycle were officially elevated to operational status. Not as heroes. As conscious instruments. Each received the central artifact of modern war against the Thrones: the Stinger — a stabilized thronoid energy core, created from the foundational research of Abigail Cruzmagnum, the First, in collaboration with Abella Santoryus and Thomas Guetherym.
Stingers are not external weapons. They bind to the bearer. They float above the fist like a star or a cross of pure energy, pulsing or serene according to the nature of the one who wields them. Once accepted, they cannot be removed without irreversible consequences.
Among the new bearers were Abigail Cruzmagnum the Third and Beatrych Novaguarda.
Both received their Stingers in silence. No speeches. No promises.
Hours later, the announcement that closed the cycle was broadcast across all authorized channels:
The March had officially begun.
Without spectacle.Without applause.
The Route awaited.
