Elena's POV
The bodyguards held me too tightly for me to break free.
My voice disappeared into the mayhem as everyone yelled, shouting over each other.
Terror doubled in my chest, but the thought of abandoning Oliver tore through that fear.
"I need to reach my child!" I screamed again, but no one listened.
Too many voices clashed at once.
I searched for a way to cut through the noise, then the solution struck me. "Dorian! Mr. Griffin! Help me!"
Dorian heard me instantly and charged toward the guards.
"Release her, just take my mother."
Vivienne's expression tightened. "How do we—"
"Don't worry, I'll remain with her," Dorian promised.
I didn't immediately process Dorian's words until I stood outside the guards' circle. By then, Quentin and two doctors had already guided everyone through the rear exit.
Once they departed, the hallway fell quiet except for Minnie's labored breathing.
"That was insane!" Minnie panted, then quickly faced Dorian. "No offense, Mr. Griffin."
