Chapter 88 - Dark Second

Location: Prime Minister's Private Villa

Classical music drifted softly through the spacious living room. The Prime Minister of Japan sat comfortably on the couch, swirling the ice in his glass before pouring himself another drink.

"Would you like a drink…?" he asked, looking directly at Amaya, who sat across from him.

"It's sweet of you to offer," she replied calmly, "but no, thank you."

The prime minister raised an eyebrow. "Alright, alright… so why are you here? What do you want this time?"

Amaya leaned forward slightly. "You know what… I don't like hiding what I want. I came here for one reason: I want you to step down from your position."

The prime minister burst into laughter. "Hahahahaha! What are you saying? This is hilarious! April Fool's hasn't even arrived yet. Such boldness… unbelievable."

Amaya didn't flinch. "I know you cooperated with Russia to hand over a mage… Itou Tasaku."

The Prime Minister's smile froze. He stared at her with a cold expression, took a slow sip of his drink, and said,

"That was a deal for a deal, Amaya. I'll use Russia as long as I need to. No matter how many lies you tell your people about Russia attacking Tokyo… it's ridiculous. I won't accept it."

With irritation, he slammed the glass onto the table.

"You know very well that the nation's security depends on these factions. Do you want Tasaku or Tori to control the entire country? That will only happen in their dreams. Now leave… or I'll remove you from PRIVATE DEFENSE—HUNTER DEVILS. I'll strip you of your position as president of the organization. Get out."

Amaya looked at him. Her eyes, glowing red like crashing waves, sharpened.

"It's a necessary piece for peace," she said. "Citizens have meaning when they serve the protection of their homeland. But you did the opposite… You betrayed one of your own to a foreign nation."

The Prime Minister yelled at her, "You're just a dog that follows orders—get out."

Amaya stood up with a calm smile, looked at the Prime Minister's two bodyguards, moved very close to the Prime Minister, and whispered in his ear while the two bodyguards drew their guns on her.

Amaya whispered in the prime minister's ear, "Exactly, I'm a dog, but you're a dead dog."

The prime minister's head suddenly turned 360 degrees, and the two bodyguards were left in shock as they watched his head get severed. Blood gushed from his ears, mouth, and nose.

The same thing happened to the bodyguards: their heads turned 360 degrees, and blood poured from their mouths and ears.

Blood flooded the floor. Amaya left the villa. Along her path, she saw a dozen dead bodyguards.

Amaya stopped and looked toward the bathroom, where Goro had grabbed a bodyguard and pinned him to the floor.

The bodyguard begged, "Please don't kill me, please. I have a family."

Goro looked at him, let him go, turned back, and froze when he saw Amaya. He lowered his head.

"Sorry, Miss Amaya. I didn't see you."

"Let's get out of here, Goro."

"Certainly, Miss."

They left the villa and got into a black car. Goro opened the door for her, and they both got in.

"Where are we going, Miss?" Goro asked in a calm, quiet voice.

"To the next place," she replied.

The car left the area.

At that very moment, the police pulled up next to the villa. They got out with their guns drawn and ran inside.

The surviving bodyguard stumbled out the door, shocked and in tears. He fell to the floor.

"Help me! I'm warning you—these aren't humans, they're monsters! Get out of here, or you'll all die!"

The police officers looked at him in confusion.

Before anyone could react, the bodyguard's head suddenly turned 360 degrees. He collapsed to the ground as blood streamed from his mouth, ears, and nose.

The castle of the Tasaku Clan, the Hall of the Six Heads of the NINJUTSU system. In a hall filled with yellow, red, blue, and white light, there were six pillars, each with a person seated on it. Their faces were hidden, and Gojoru stood below them.

The first elder spoke.

"Gojoru, you know it's forbidden to say such things here. The laws of NINJUTSU must never be broken, no matter who it is. No one has the power to override us. Now get out of here."

Gojoru replied, "You're just a bunch of old men past your prime. You've corrupted this system—one that was created to protect ordinary citizens, not to protect your own positions."

The second elder replied, "We're not here for you to lecture us on how to do our jobs. We're here to uphold the rules of NINJUTSU and protect the sorcerer community."

Gojoru laughed bitterly.

"You're the biggest joke of the 21st century. That so-called protection will fall apart within months. The system that stood for 2,480 years has been destroyed by your actions. Never in its history have there been so many sorcerer traitors and so many sorcerer deaths. This has only happened in this cursed century. I may not have a veto, but without the Tasaku and Tori factions—the ones who control the strongest sorcerers—you can do nothing. Your plan is suicide for the entire system."

The First Elder shouted, "Enough! Get out now!"

Gojoru turned away.

"I'll leave, but I won't be part of this dirty game of yours. The idea of creating a second fake world like Yugo's, using Abracadabra of Nature, is childish—neither mature nor realistic. I've given up on this system. You'll see how all of Japan descends into chaos."

He left the room.

Tokyo.

Yurezo moved through the halls until he reached Reino. He looked at him and asked in a low voice, "Who are you talking to again, Reino? Let's get out of here. This area is dangerous, and we don't have a single drop of natural energy left."

Reino laughed hysterically.

"Yurezo, I've gone crazy—you know that, right?"

He had been talking to Yuma, who was already dead.

Yurezo walked over to Lisou's corpse beside Reino, lifted it onto his back, and continued down the halls. Reino quietly followed behind him, and neither of them spoke.

As they headed toward a safer place, a demon suddenly attacked them. A powerful spear descended from the sky, pierced the demon's head, and ripped its soul away.

Reino looked over and saw Devil Angel. He took a small step back.

"That's not Tenshi, the one who helps us… Is that a boy?"

Devil Angel drew his spear and stared at them.

"I'm not sure whether you're enemies or allies, but for now I have no intention of killing you. I'm looking for Akos, so you're free to go."

Reino quietly walked away.

Yurezo asked, "He said he's not Tenshi. I don't know who he is, but I remember Yuma mentioning that the devils have a family tree. Could he be her brother?"

Reino replied, "He's still a stranger to us. Why is he looking for Akos?"

Suddenly, Devil Angel flew toward them and said coldly, "I heard a filthy name. I don't want to hear it again."

He looked toward the burning city.

"The sorcerers are at Tokyo Station. You'd better stay away from that place."

The two of them walked away without answering. Devil Angel stared at the flames rising above Tokyo and whispered, "How many years are you willing to sacrifice to witness the end of this world? How foolish. Every second Tenshi breathes is a waste of this planet's oxygen."

On the other side of Tokyo, flames consumed everything. Buildings were collapsing, and Sakoura walked through the chaos with a smile. Surrounded by red fire and towering infernos, he shouted:

"Once again, I'll tell you—no one cares about them. Not your system, not the government. They were born only to consume food and live as slaves. This world was built to collapse, not to be protected, Akos. Just as the system doesn't care about its citizens, the state doesn't care about the sacrifices you make. The funniest part is that they don't even know you exist—not even the devils. Let the era of chaos continue. It never ends. Not even in 9,000 years will it stop."

He looked toward a nearby building.

Suddenly, Akos leaped from the rooftop with his katana, descending at breakneck speed toward Sakoura's head.

Sakoura raised one finger toward him.

"Finger Pistol Technique!"

A concentrated beam of energy shot forward, but Akos sliced through it with his katana. He crashed down with full force, but Sakoura escaped at the last moment, teleporting behind him.

"Nice try," Sakoura said.

He made the pistol gesture again and fired a concentrated yellow beam of energy. It shot out like a laser, struck Akos directly, and blasted into the building behind him.

A moment later, Akos walked out of the wreckage with a smile.

"You say the devils don't know I exist because they haven't seen me. They know one thing only: THE ONE WITH INFINITE EYES HAS BEEN BORN.

That's why all of you devils either hid or were forced to grow stronger just to survive in my era. So tell me—who's the joke now, me or you? If I had never entered the fake world, I would have destroyed you in a split second."

Sakoura laughed mockingly

"I waited 2,000 years for you to be born. This day has finally come."

TAKAMI"I know you died—both as a human and as the person you once were. The Infinite Eyes are the only thing capable of altering the very core of a person's abilities into whatever they desire. That's exactly what you did, didn't you?"

Akos stared at the ceiling with a cold, distant expression.

"I am the only truly strong person in this world. I don't need anyone's help."

"Takami, your Universe Zone is the most powerful. I don't want you to lose yourself."

Huge, terrifying flames surged high into the night sky like a tidal wave. Sakoura's monstrous laughter echoed across every corner of Tokyo.

"Everything has an end… but I am their end."
