Chapter 12 - Chapter 47 – A Disciple Like No Other

Unable to believe her eyes, Ella asked using her thoughts to communicate with the system.

"System, are you sure you weren't wrong or perhaps made a mistake?"

Ella was genuinely confused—how could a god who governs fate be unable to see because of her blind eyes? She even had a tragic experience, deeply puzzling Ella and making her believe something was off.

"How is she a reincarnation of a mighty being but can't do a thing? Having defective eyesight... is there something wrong with her system?"

The moment Ella asked, the system responded.

DING!

[Due to the system's current version, it cannot fully access Tia Portia's past. However, her physique has been analyzed, revealing an overwhelming karmic backlash—powerful enough to reduce a minor universe to ashes.]

[Her Dao intent is nearly depleted. She has undergone over 30,000 reincarnations, each life ending in relentless misfortune. Though her Dao will ensures eternal rebirth, ascension remains impossible. Her body and talent were deliberately suppressed, trapping her in a cycle of suffering.]

[She is currently burdened by 149 active curses. Her vision has been lost, her physique is frail, and her entire existence remains shrouded in misfortune.]

"Damn..." Ella muttered, staring at Tia as if she were a colossal ticking time bomb.

"This girl is flung with misfortune, having many curses and karmic backlash. Just what crime did this girl commit at her peak?"

Ella was curious about Tia's past. Unfortunately, the system couldn't deduce anything further as it still needed an upgrade.

With that thought, she refrained from asking and instead stared at Tia in front of her.

"Now, as your master, quit kneeling and introduce yourself."

Ella spoke as if she didn't know her name, pretending to be unaware.

She thought it would seem strange if they already knew things like gods. They weren't that powerful yet, and Ella suspected someone might be watching them—perhaps drawn by Tia's misfortune.

So she avoided boasting and acted normal to conceal their golden finger.

"I'm Tia, and my family name is Portia. I will be in your care from now on, Masters."

Tia said softly, still kneeling. Olivia nodded in satisfaction and smiled.

"Oh, you're really polite, Tia. From now on, I am your master. Nice to meet you!"

Olivia's expression was full of delight, while Ella maintained her calm, deep in thought.

Damn, we accepted a disaster as a disciple. But it wasn't a loss—we already accumulated abundant rewards from the system, so it's worth trying.

Sensing urgency, Ella knew they had to get stronger fast. Tia's fate was anything but simple, and it would definitely bring future trouble.

Moments later, the twins gently guided Tia to her new bedroom.

Before entering, they changed her into clean clothes, their powers silently removing every trace of dirt and lingering bacteria from her fragile body.

The room they led her into was nothing short of luxurious—plush bedding, soft lighting, and shelves adorned with carefully chosen trinkets and clothes.

Ella had prepared everything with quiet dedication, evident in every detail.

She had even asked Olivia to personally feed Tia. "I got this, Eri!" Olivia beamed, practically bouncing.

"I'll let her taste the best food Earth has to offer!"

She dashed to the table and, with a flick of her fingers, dishes appeared in a shimmer of light—roasted meats, sweet buns, stews bursting with flavor.

Olivia sat beside Tia and began feeding her bite after bite with joyful enthusiasm.

"Here, try this juicy meat! Oh—and this one too! You'll love it! And this—!"

Tia's eyes widened in surprise. The flood of flavors was overwhelming. She coughed, startled, but before panic could set in, Olivia flicked her thoughts—and the obstruction vanished, dissolved into nothingness.

Tia blinked slowly, lips parted in shock. Though her violet eyes couldn't see, they still shimmered ethereally.

Her petite frame trembled—part nerves, part weakness from long neglect. Yet, for the first time in a long while, warmth touched her expression.

Olivia tilted her head, yawning.

"What's wrong, Tia? Why are you crying?"

Olivia was confused and began to panic, thinking it was her fault.

"It... it's nothing. I... I was just remembering something."

Tia tried to stop her tears.

Olivia, seeing this, was touched. She assumed Tia was thinking of her deceased family, which made her seem even more pitiful.

"She's a good girl... why is she being punished by heaven?"

Olivia thought to herself, feeling heaven was too unfair.

Ella also witnessed this scene, but remained calm.

"In her past life as a Sacred Mother... she must've done something that led to this."

Ella walked away, wanting to ask the system more ways to grow stronger.

Meanwhile, Tia—unused to such care—felt overwhelmed. The soft comfort, the warmth, the taste of real food... it dulled her pain.

In this unfamiliar luxury, surrounded by kindness and light chaos, something stirred inside her.

She was safe.

And for the first time, she let her guard down, already thinking of her new masters as family.

Seeing her feel better, Olivia smiled and said,

"Tia, come with me tomorrow. I'll help you become stronger."

"Become stronger...? But I'm crippled. I don't even have a Spirit Seed..."

Tia's voice trembled.

It sounded like a joke to her, but Olivia, who didn't even know what a Spirit Seed was, grinned.

"Don't worry, we'll resolve that tomorrow."

Tia nodded weakly. She didn't believe in hope anymore, but didn't want to discourage Olivia's efforts.

Meanwhile, Olivia asked the system through her thoughts.

"System, what is Spirit Seed? It's my first time hearing it."

DING!

[The Spirit Seed acts as the foundation of a Dantian, forming when a human absorbs life force, breath, stamina, and natural energy. This marks entry into the Mortal Awakening Realm—the lowest stage of mortal cultivation. At this realm, the body begins evolving. With each breakthrough, it slowly transforms—eventually gaining traits and talent similar to lesser gods.]

"Hmm... that's how it is? Though I don't really understand. Forget it, I'll ask Eri tomorrow."

Seeing the prompt, Olivia brushed it off.

She didn't care about the details right now—just that Tia was feeling better.

Meanwhile, Ella sat on a colossal throne, deep in thought.

"System, how many kneeling points do we currently have?"

DING!

[Current Kneeling Points: 9,100+]

Ella's smile widened.

"Tia really is a big shot... to think I'd get nine thousand kneeling points just from her. Just how strong was she at her peak?"

Her curiosity grew.

She believed Tia was someone who had reached the peak—but fallen for reasons unknown. She yearned for that strength herself, but knew it would take time.

So she had to upgrade the system faster.

"System, please make a projection of me. I'll proceed to take one more disciple."

The system instantly responded, giving her a choice like before.

She once again chose the Human Realm, and her consciousness drifted into a strange state. Her vision shifted—

She arrived once again in the Human Realm, her projection descending.

"Hehehe... now my second disciple—here I come."
