Shadows receded the next morning. And Ciel woke up to face the scowling dragon again.
"Here."
The dragon's cold voice broke through her sleepy haze.
Ciel's legs folded on the bed, her hands receiving the sandwich for breakfast.
The two soft breads pressed against lush green cabbage and vibrant tomatoes, paired with a simple cooked salmon to finish the meal's look.
She bit into it with a crunch. Then, her small body bounced with joy, the mattress dipping under her weight.
The dragon plopped into her desk chair that now faced the bed. As she sat, the simple t-shirt accentuated her curves, while the shorts stiffened against the muscles of her legs.
She stated, her cold voice belying an amusement to the excited Ciel. "It's a simple sandwich."
Ciel froze. Ignoring Summer, she eyed the sparse space compared to her small figure, feeling hollow.
Her palm patted the mattress. "You haven't slept a wink since yesterday, Miss Dragon."
Summer's brows fell.
