Chapter 10 - Chapter 10: Peak Dragon-Level Vaccine Man

### Chapter 10: Peak Dragon-Level Vaccine Man

As the alarm sounded.

Pedestrians on the street looked up one after another, terror written all over their faces.

Children were held tightly by their parents as they fled to shelters, vehicles quickly made U-turns to leave the central district, and the entire city seemed to enter a state of war in an instant.

Inside the Association Command Room.

Cold sweat seeped from Sitch's forehead, his fingers tapping on the console so fast they left afterimages: "Quick! Immediately contact all heroes in A-City!"

The communication channel was instantly flooded with responses:

"A-Class, Lightning Max, received! Rushing to the scene!"

"A-Class, Smile Man, understood! Going to meet it right now!"

"B-Class, Hellish Blizzard... copy that!"

The efficiency was astonishing.

In just a few minutes, led by several A-Class heroes, over thirty hero figures gathered like a torrent of steel in the center of the block where Vaccine Man was raging.

And in front of them—

Was a Monster over three meters tall, covered in dark purple skin, humanoid in shape but with a pair of antennae on his head, resembling King Piccolo from Dragon Ball.

"Hahahaha—!" Vaccine Man's wild laughter shook the ground slightly, carrying a declaration of destruction. "I am Vaccine Man! Humans, you are the pathogens eroding this planet! Your civilization is a lesion that must be removed!"

Before his voice faded, he flew into the air. With a wave of his hand, purple energy balls containing destructive power smashed down like a rainstorm toward the heroes waiting in full battle array around him.

"Die!!!"

*Boom!*

*Rumble, rumble, rumble—!!!*

Explosions instantly swallowed the block.

The heroes didn't even have time to launch a decent offensive before they were blown away fiercely by the violent shockwaves, crashing into the ruins of tottering buildings like kites with cut strings.

Reinforced concrete was as fragile as paper under the baptism of energy bombs.

Within a radius of several kilometers, flames soared into the sky, and smoke blotted out the sun!

This was the terrifying power of a Dragon-level Monster.

"Cough... Damn it!"

Lightning Max crawled out of the rubble with difficulty, covered in blood. The intense pain made him almost unable to stand; he had already lost his combat capability.

He could only watch helplessly as the monster destroyed everything madly.

Not far away, behind a broken wall.

"Can't give up yet..."

Fubuki gritted her teeth, wiping away the warm blood trickling down her forehead. Being slightly less injured, she struggled to get up, her brain calculating the possibility of intervening again at high speed.

*Whoosh—!*

Just at this moment, a piercing shriek tearing through the air came from afar.

The violent airflow kicked up smoke and dust, also messing up Fubuki's dark green hair.

"What?!"

Fubuki jerked her head up, her pupils contracting sharply.

A figure, trailing a comet-like wake, at a limit speed beyond visual capture, boldly pierced through the smoke screen.

Hovering in mid-air, he blocked right in front of that embodiment of destruction—Vaccine Man!

"Who is it?"

Fubuki held her breath, her gaze locked deadly onto the figure in the air.

The smoke dispersed slightly, revealing a youth wearing a martial arts uniform?!

Fubuki was stunned, somewhat unable to believe it.

Such terrifying speed and aura actually came from a seemingly young boy?

Vaccine Man also felt that oppressive sensation rushing toward him like a solid substance.

He stopped his indiscriminate bombing. His huge head slowly lifted, his scarlet eyes locking onto the uninvited guest in the air, his voice low like muffled thunder: "Who are you?"

Kouki crossed his arms casually over his chest, the corner of his mouth curling into a faint arc: "Hmm~~ Someone who is about to become a hero."

The air froze for a second.

Immediately after, Vaccine Man let out a maniacal laugh: "Human? You are worthy of talking about 'hero'? You are just the real virus of Earth! And I am the only hero!"

As he spoke, his body began to expand violently, muscles bulging and bones restructuring.

In just a few seconds, his size exploded from over ten meters to more than twenty meters, his whole body emitting energy fluctuations strong enough to make the earth tremble.

Inside the Hero Association Command Room.

"Energy index detected rising sharply! Breaking through the threshold!!"

In the control room, technicians exclaimed.

Sitch stared fixedly at the screen: "This guy... is going completely out of control!"

...

"That's enough."

Kouki curled his lip.

The next moment, his figure disappeared.

Vaccine Man's huge body stiffened noticeably, a hint of confusion flashing in his eyes.

His perception actually couldn't capture the opponent's movement trajectory?!

Immediately after—

*Crack—!!!*

A muffled explosion that made hearts palpitate burst open without warning!

Time seemed to freeze for an instant.

In the reflection of Fubuki's suddenly dilated pupils, Vaccine Man's mountain-like upper body... exploded with a bang like a watermelon hit by an invisible giant hammer!

Viscous green blood mixed with unknown tissues splashed in all directions like the worst kind of fireworks.

The huge headless remnant body swayed, then crashed into the dust like a collapsing mountain, kicking up dust all over the sky.

Dead silence.

Absolute dead silence shrouded this block that was just filled with explosions and destruction.

One punch.

Just one punch.

That Dragon-level calamity that instantly defeated over thirty elite heroes and plunged the entire city into despair... was gone just like that?!

Fubuki froze on the spot, her mind blank.

Only that shockingly extreme image replayed repeatedly.

In the surrounding ruins, surviving heroes struggled to poke their heads out, their faces written with the same dullness and horror.

In the Hero Association Command Room, you could hear a pin drop. Everyone stared fixedly at the figure of the youth standing proudly in the air on the screen, forgetting to breathe.

"Tsk, can't take a hit."

Kouki shook his hand as if he had just swatted an annoying fly.

What Saitama could do, he did just as easily.

After all, this guy was still quite a bit weaker compared to King Piccolo in his restored youth.

As thoughts flowed, his gaze swept across the messy battlefield below and suddenly lit up.

*Swish!*

His figure disappeared instantly.

The next second, he landed steadily in front of a dark-green-haired beauty who was supporting herself against a broken wall, panting and unable to hide her astonishment.

Kouki looked her up and down with interest, a flash of realization in his eyes. "Isn't this 'Hellish Blizzard'?"

Although the memory was from more than ten years ago, her iconic outfit and mature figure allowed him to recognize her.

"You... know me?"

Fubuki looked at the youth before her with some surprise.

"Of course," Kouki answered as if it were a matter of fact. "Hero Association B-Class Rank 1, right?"

He changed the subject, getting straight to the point. "By the way, I'm here to join the Hero Association. May I ask which way is the Association Headquarters?"

"Th... That way!"

Fubuki pointed in a direction almost subconsciously.

"Thanks!"

Before Kouki's voice faded, he had turned into a stream of light and flew in the direction she pointed, leaving only her hair fluttering again in the strong wind.

Fubuki stared at the figure that vanished instantly into the horizon. It took her a long while to recover, murmuring to herself: "Join... the Association?"

After the shock, she took a deep breath, suppressing her turbulent emotions. enduring her pain, she also rushed towards the Association Headquarters.

Not only to treat her injuries, but more importantly... she hadn't thanked that youth who saved the entire city yet.
