Chapter 19 - Chapter 19

The second day of school began just like any other.

Morning classes were filled with the usual compulsory subjects—English, mathematics, and the like. Nothing special happened, and by noon, everyone once again gathered in the Lunch Rush cafeteria.

Then—

"I—AM—HERE!!"

With an earth-shaking shout, the classroom doors burst open.

All Might strode in confidently.

Unlike the casual clothing he'd worn the first time Amano Sora met him, this time he was dressed in his full hero costume. The bright, bold design—straight out of a Silver Age American comic—looked completely out of place in a modern classroom, yet somehow suited him perfectly.

The moment he appeared, the entire class erupted.

Screams. Gasps. Cheers.

Almost everyone lost their composure.

Almost.

Sora leaned back in his chair, quietly observing the scene. Even Todoroki Shoto, who was usually indifferent to everything, had a glimmer of excitement in his eyes. Around him, classmates were whispering and shouting in awe.

"Is that really All Might?!"

"He's so cool!"

"I'm gonna faint—!"

"Toru, you look like you're about to pass out," Sora muttered.

"I'm not even a fan, but this is different!" Toru Hagakure replied excitedly. "That's All Might!"

Aoyama Yuga, clutching his chest dramatically, blushed and exclaimed,

"W-Why is he so dazzling?! He's a man, right?!"

Sora rubbed his temples.

Now I get it… this is basically idol-level worship.

As the excitement finally settled, All Might strode to the podium, planted his hands on his hips, and beamed.

"The course I'll be teaching you is Hero Basics!" he declared proudly. "This is the most important class in U.A. High—one that will help shape you into proper heroes!"

The students straightened instantly.

"And today—" All Might continued, "—you'll receive your Hero Costumes!"

With a loud mechanical hum, a row of high-tech lockers emerged from the classroom wall.

The room exploded again.

Even louder than before.

Bakugo's eyes burned with excitement as he clenched his fists.

"Combat training… Finally."

His gaze swept over the room, lingering briefly on Amano Sora, Todoroki, and Yaoyorozu.

I'll blow you all away.

Sora stood in front of locker No. 8 and slowly opened it.

Inside lay his hero costume.

A deep red-and-gold combat suit, sleek and streamlined. The inner layer resembled a flexible bodysuit, while the outer armor was made of lightweight, heat-resistant alloy. The helmet was aerodynamic, designed to reduce wind resistance at extreme speeds, and the gauntlets were reinforced to absorb recoil from high-impact strikes.

At the center of the chest was a golden lightning emblem—split cleanly through the middle.

Sora ran his fingers across the material.

"…Not bad."

He had spent a long time thinking about the design. In the end, he'd chosen something inspired by speed itself—clean, efficient, and built for movement.

Gold and red.

Perfect.

Meanwhile, in the girls' changing room—

"U-Um… Hagakure… where are your clothes?"

A stunned voice echoed through the room.

Toru Hagakure stood there—technically fully dressed—but completely invisible. Only a pair of gloves floated in the air.

Her face flushed bright red.

"M-My hero costume is made from my own hair fibers!" she explained hurriedly. "Since my Quirk makes me invisible, normal fabric wouldn't work…"

"Your hair?" Jiro Kyoka blinked.

"Yeah! My hair naturally becomes transparent, so it's the easiest material to use. Plus, since it's technically part of my body, my Quirk works perfectly with it!"

"That's genius," Yaoyorozu Momo said sincerely. "Using your own body as the material… I hadn't thought of that."

Toru beamed.

Combat Training Begins

The students gathered at Training Ground Beta—a massive indoor mock city used for combat simulations.

All Might stood proudly at the entrance.

"Costumes are an essential part of hero work!" he declared. "Now let me see your resolve as heroes!"

The class assembled, now fully suited up.

Amano Sora stood at the front, his crimson-and-gold armor gleaming under the lights.

Behind him were his classmates—Bakugo with his grenade gauntlets, Uraraka in her sleek suit, Iida in his armored engine legs, Yaoyorozu in her tactical outfit, and Midoriya in his familiar green jumpsuit.

All Might grinned.

"Today's lesson is Indoor Combat Training!"

A few students blinked.

"…Indoor?" Asui Tsuyu asked.

"That's right!" All Might replied enthusiastically. "Statistically speaking, most villain activity occurs indoors—hostage situations, illegal trades, and ambushes. Today, you'll be split into Hero teams and Villain teams for a two-on-two simulation!"

Questions immediately exploded.

"How are teams chosen?"

"Can we actually fight?"

"What about injuries?!"

"Can I blow things up?!"

"What if I accidentally hit someone—does that count as assault?!"

All Might froze.

This… was worse than facing a villain.

Coughing lightly, he pulled out a pre-written cue card.

"Ah—yes. The scenario is simple. Villains have hidden a mock nuclear device inside the building. Heroes must either capture the villains or secure the bomb within the time limit."

The students stared.

"…That sounds like an old action movie," someone muttered.

Ignoring them, All Might raised two large boxes.

"Teams will be decided by drawing lots!"

The class immediately erupted.

"YOU SAID IT WAS FAIR!"

"THIS IS RIGGED!"

"YOU DEFINITELY SAID OKAY JUST NOW!"

All Might pretended not to hear any of it.
