Chapter 1 - The Woman Two Years Ago

*Bip* *bip* *bip*

The kid stopped walking as he heard an indistinct noise coming from his glasses. Voices heard from a seemingly far place. His glasses lit up as if covered in fog, his face unreadable.

"C A S S I S...Cassis", a single name uttered by a very familiar voice. "A message...from Kir", Akai's serious tone continued.

"Conan!" the boy looked up, Ran smiled at him sweetly, gesturing for him to hurry up.

He smiled, "Yes...Ran-neechan!"

Despite hiding his expression with a sweet smile, the girl in a bob hair beside him noticed his uneasiness. She glanced at him, curious and suspicious.

~Cafe Poirot~

"The best! I can't believe I'm eating such a cake!" Sonoko screamed as she took a bite of the cake in front of her. "Right, Amuro-san is really amazing!" Ran added.

The tan skinned man with blonde hair, Amuro Toru smiled at them as he continued preparing some sandwiches. The kids, Edogawa Conan, Haibara Ai, Yoshida Ayumi, Kojima Genta, and Tsuburaya Mitsuhiko, sat in front of the counter, happily eating the same cake.

The place was filled with laughter. Everyone enjoyed the food while sharing random topics.

It was a hot afternoon, the place was suddenly filled with noise...siren. Everyone was shocked, police cars stopped in front of the cafe. Inspector Megure along with Detective Takagi entered.

"Amuro Toru, please come to the station with us." Inspector Megure said, the whole room erupted with shocked gasps, and the faces of the people inside looked confused. Even the man behind the counter blinked thrice and said, "...yes?", having no idea what was happening.

~Few minutes later~

"Ehh..! Kidnapping!" shouted by everyone in the room. Amuro chuckled awkwardly as he tried to process the situation.

"Are you sure about that Inspector?" Conan asked. The Inspector sighed and sat down. He looked at Detective Takagi, hinting him to explain the situation. Takagi nodded, took out his notebook, and started reading.

"Luna Noir, 29 years old...a renowned violinist who came to Japan from France just two days ago. She told her manager to that she was planning to meet an old friend. She left this morning and notified her manager that she will be back around noon because she needed to shoot some commercial. She was seen near the train station, CCTV footage caught her going inside a taxi but she was now nowhere to be found. Of course her manager called her, but no one answered, it is said that it just kept ringing." Detective Takagi explained.

The confusion grew, Amuro touched his chin, he appeared to be thinking deeply. He sighed. "Then it's impossible for me. I've been at the coffee shop since it opened this morning."

Azusa nodded in agreement, "that's right! I'm the one who went to buy things earlier and Amuro-san stayed at the cafe, you can even check the CCTV, you will see that he didn't leave."

Everyone in the room agreed, Inspector Megure sighed again. Takagi who seemed to get his actions a little bit, got their attention, "then Amuro-san...what is your relationship with Luna Noir", he asked in a serious tone as he slid a picture of a woman in her late 20s, her hair looked almost brown but it was identified as red.

Everyone glanced at the beauty of the one in the picture. Amuro fell silent for a while. They looked at him, anticipating a nice answer. He looked up after feeling the pressure the others' had given him. He sighed.

"We've met before. Three years ago...she stayed in Japan for a year and decided to go back to France, I didn't know she had already came back. But why are you asking all of this?" He said.

Takagi looked at him, "we found her phone discarded near a lake. The last number she dialed seemed familiar at first, and we confirmed for it to be yours, Amuro-san. Can you please tell us anything that could possibly help in finding her."

Luna Noir. The name itself disrupted Amuro's mind. His lips was pressed together as he remembered the woman who smiled at her in the middle of the rain two years ago. He looked undeniably worried.
