I walked out of the heavy front doors of the house, the air hitting me with a cool, sharp bite that didn't do much to settle the restless energy humming in my veins.
Bianco was already standing beside the idling Maybach, the engine giving off a low, expensive purr.
He was dressed in a dark suit that seemed to swallow the light, and his dark eyeglasses looked even darker against the polished, shiny surface of his smooth bald head.
Bianco bowed his head a little in greeting as I approached.
"Are the arrangements ready?" I asked, my voice low.
"Yes, boss," Bianco replied, his face unreadable behind the dark lenses. "The restaurant is ready and expecting you. They are prepared to receive you already."
I adjusted the cuffs of my suit jacket, feeling the weight of the night pressing in on me. "Where is Andrej?"
Before Bianco could even open his mouth to reply, Andrej walked up to join us.
