Luna led them out of Ottery St Catchpole Village from the south, walking a few hundred meters along a dirt path until they reached a pond. Only then did Adelaide see the eccentric building not far away.
The Burrow didn't stand within Ottery St Catchpole Village like the other houses, but was instead cleverly hidden by a quiet pond not far from the village, surrounded by lush vegetation like a tiny world secluded from the outside.
Moreover, to comply with the Wizarding Secrecy Act and ensure a certain distance from the Muggle World, a Muggle-Repelling Enchantment had been carefully placed around The Burrow and the entire surrounding pond.
Adelaide couldn't help but feel a surge of annoyance—she should have thought of it long ago!
With The Burrow's bizarrely unscientific architecture, the Gnomes frolicking all over the yard, and the Weasley Twins often taking Ginny to play Quidditch on their flying broomsticks in the spacious garden, how could the Weasley family live in Ottery St Catchpole Village, which was mostly populated by Muggles!
At this moment, Mr. and Mrs. Weasley were standing at the yard's entrance, full of anxiety, craning their necks to look in every direction.
It was almost twelve o'clock; why hadn't The Chosen One and the others arrived yet!
Concern was written all over Mr. and Mrs. Weasley's faces, fearing that the high-profile savior might encounter some mishap on the way to visit The Burrow—if something truly unfortunate happened, even giving their lives in apology might not be enough to make up for the sin.
A burst of noise broke the silence, and the Weasley Twins, being sharp-eyed, were the first to spot the visitors.
The two of them danced with excitement, and George shouted loudly, "Hey, Adelaide—"
Fred yelled at the top of his lungs, "Mom, I see them—"
Hearing their sons' shouts, Mr. and Mrs. Weasley, whose faces had been tense, were instantly relieved and let out a long sigh.
Watching the group of five walking toward The Burrow, kind and gentle smiles blossomed on their faces as they warmly stepped forward to lead the visitors into the cozy interior of The Burrow.
The living room of The Burrow was decorated with a great atmosphere, filled with colorful eggs and streamers, and the long table was laden with delicious food.
Many Wizards had already gathered here to celebrate Ginny's birthday, mostly friends of Mr. and Mrs. Weasley, none of whom Adelaide really knew.
After thinking for a moment, Adelaide reached out and pulled Harry, who was standing behind her looking somewhat flustered, to the front.
She gave Harry's back a gentle push, gesturing for him to step forward and greet everyone present.
Harry said softly with a hint of shyness, "Hello everyone, I'm Harry Potter."
The Chosen One's charm was no small thing; in an instant, the guests who had been scattered in various corners all focused their gazes on Harry.
They hurried toward Harry, surrounding him tightly and offering warm greetings.
Seeing Harry so popular, Mr. and Mrs. Weasley couldn't help but show smiles of pride and satisfaction—The Chosen One had actually come to their daughter's birthday party!
Taking this opportunity, Adelaide quickly pulled Hermione and Alice along, quietly bypassing the crowd to a sofa that had just become vacant at the back of the living room.
She plopped down and let out a sigh of relief, preparing to take a good rest.
Adelaide happened to glance toward a nearby corner and was surprised to find Cho Chang smiling gently at her.
Cho Chang's smile was like a blooming flower in spring, beautiful and moving, leaving Adelaide somewhat dazed.
Merlin's diapers!
Adelaide's pupils constricted sharply, and cold sweat instantly slid down her back—Help!
Why was Cho Chang at The Burrow? Shouldn't she be back home in HK right now!
The Weasley Twins seemed to have noticed Adelaide's predicament; they exchanged a smile and approached her, laughing and joking.
George said excitedly, "The more people, the merrier! So the two of us wrote a letter to Cho Chang—"
Fred immediately chimed in, "In the letter, we specifically mentioned that you'd be bringing the famous savior and a little girl from a Muggle family to the party. We heard from Dad that you're even living with this little girl~"
George snatched the conversation back: "And so, Cho Chang came to The Burrow via floo powder early this morning—"
After saying that, he triumphantly raised an eyebrow at Adelaide.
This made Adelaide's teeth itch with rage, wishing she could cast a Fiendfyre on him and burn his ears off.
Fred continued to twist the knife with a laugh: "Hehe, I didn't expect you to bring a MacFusty along~ This is probably the first time our family has hosted a guest from Slytherin—since you and Cho Chang haven't seen each other in so long, you must have a ton to talk about. We won't stay here and get in the way of your catching up!"
The Weasley Twins' shifty eyes scanned between a shocked Alice, a puzzled Hermione, and Luna, who had a vacant smile and seemed a bit absent-minded.
Then, laughing, they threw their arms around each other's shoulders and swaggered away, leaving this small corner of the living room entirely to Adelaide and her friends.
Fine, you two did a great job!
Looking at the departing backs of the Weasley Twins, Adelaide trembled with rage but didn't dare to explode.
She swore in her heart: Are these two loathsome fellows trying to annoy me to death so they can inherit my pocket money? Humph! This summer, I won't give them even a single Copper Knut for their investments!
Cho Chang stood up and sat down beside Adelaide, her gaze as gentle as water as she asked softly:
"It's been a long time, Adelaide. It feels like you've gotten a bit thinner... By the way, did you like the birthday gift I sent you?"
Seeing Cho Chang strike up a conversation, Adelaide quickly adjusted herself. A bright smile instantly blossomed on her face, and her previously tired expression vanished without a trace.
Her eyes were as bright as twinkling stars as she looked at Cho Chang with joy and responded affectionately, "It really has been a long time, dear Cho! I haven't even had the chance to thank you properly. The ten Ginkgo saplings you sent me are absolutely wonderful; they're exactly what I've always wanted!"
Dear "Cho"?
Hermione, standing aside, finally snapped out of it; so this elegant and beautiful woman was Cho Chang!
The name was not at all unfamiliar to Hermione, as she had heard about Cho Chang from Alice more than a dozen times over the past few days.
Supposedly, Cho Chang and Adelaide had been very close last year, and she could be called Adelaide's closest "best friend" at Hogwarts.
