Chapter 85 - Chapter 85: Kure Henzo, Sniper Rifle

Earlier, when Kael was locked onto by two malicious gazes, he was puzzled. It seemed he hadn't offended anyone, so why would someone come to cause trouble? Now, after confirming the intruder's identity, Kael suddenly understood. It was the Kure Clan coming after him. That explained it.

"You're well-informed. I only just joined the Yukinoshita family, and you've already come knocking." Kael said: "So, which member of the Kure Clan are you?"

The man, seeing Kael recognize his identity, simply gave his name. "Kure Clan, Kure Henzo."

Kael thought for a moment. "I remember now. The Kure Clan does have someone named Kure Henzo. But I heard your removal rate is only nineteen. That must be you."

Henzo's heart skipped. His removal rate was indeed nineteen. But only those familiar with him should know that. In other words, only Kure Clan members should know. Outsiders shouldn't. So how did Kael know? He looked as if he didn't recognize him, yet knew his information clearly. Who? Who leaked his information to this man?

Henzo's heart grew heavy. He said coldly: "If you tell me who leaked my information, I'll give you a quick death."

Kael laughed. "Listen to yourself, as if you could defeat me. I bet you don't even know who I am or how strong I am."

Henzo fell silent. He truly didn't know Kael's strength. His investigation showed Kael was just an ordinary high school student. But recently, he seemed to have changed completely. He ate enormous amounts—far beyond normal. And suddenly, he became the Yukinoshita family's fighter. The speed of this transformation shocked even the Kure Clan. It was unbelievable.

Henzo steadied himself, inhaling cold air to calm down. "No matter who you are, if you don't confess today, you won't leave here alive."

Kael chuckled, raising a finger. "Come, let me see if your strength matches your words."

Henzo narrowed his eyes, his white pupils shrinking to the extreme. A powerful pressure surged from him like a tidal wave. Kael clearly saw Henzo's skin tighten, veins bulging. This was the Kure Clan's secret technique—Removal. Unlocking the body's limits to unleash greater strength.

Henzo lifted his right foot and stepped forward. In an instant, he dashed like a phantom, his right hand like a sharp spear aimed at Kael's chest. The air was pierced, whistling sharply.

Kael casually sidestepped, avoiding the fierce strike. "Your speed is decent, but your strength is pathetic."

As he spoke, Kael lightly pushed Henzo's shoulder. The next moment, Henzo flew like a cannonball, crashing into a building wall with a loud boom. The solid wall caved in, leaving a pit over three meters wide. Henzo was embedded in it, unconscious.

Kael snorted. "Weakling."

With Henzo dealt with, only one remained. Kael turned toward a rooftop several hundred meters away. There, a petite girl with shoulder-length hair lay prone, holding a sniper rifle, aiming at him through the scope.

Interestingly, she had the same black sclera and white pupils as Henzo. When their gazes met, she immediately fired.

Bang!

In less than a second, the bullet crossed hundreds of meters, striking Kael's forehead dead center. The shot was precise, right between the brows. For anyone else, not just the forehead, even half the skull would have been blown off. After all, this was a sniper rifle. Its power was undeniable.

But through the scope, the girl saw the bullet hit Kael—and instead of shattering his skull, it flattened like it had struck steel, clattering harmlessly to the ground.

Kael was unharmed. Not even a red mark remained. His skin was smooth, delicate like a woman's.

At that moment, the sniper girl felt unprecedented terror. Her hair stood on end, her breathing quickened, sweat poured from her pores. What… what kind of monster was this?!

Her rifle had been carefully modified, its power immense, able to pierce concrete walls easily. But now? It was stopped by human flesh. Impossible. Human flesh couldn't withstand her rifle. Unless… unless he wasn't human.

Thinking this, she leapt up and ran. She couldn't risk the monster chasing her. For ordinary people, hundreds of meters was far. But for a monster, it was nothing. If she didn't run now, it would be too late.

She ran fast, abandoning her beloved rifle. Though precious, it wasn't worth more than her life.

But after only a few steps, she stopped. Not because she wanted to, but because Kael, who had been hundreds of meters away, now stood before her, blocking her path. His speed was unbelievable.

She couldn't help but wonder—did Kael know teleportation?

"That's not it." Kael said lightly: "Teleportation is an advanced spell. I haven't learned it yet."

The girl: "…"

What was going on?!
