Chapter 35 - Chapter 35: The Sawman of Light

The power of that explosion just now was comparable to a Tailed Beast Ball.

But the Nine-Tailed is still inside Lady Mito's belly; it's not as if the old lady ate her fill and ran to the edge of the Village to fire a Tailed Beast Ball for digestion.

If Tsunade had this kind of power, even if it killed him, the Third wouldn't have just let her be a Medical Ninja.

But only Tsunade and her Disciple were present... Uchiha Ken's intuition told him this was likely related to Tsunade's Disciple, but reason told him it was impossible.

Regardless of who caused it, building a good relationship with Tsunade's Disciple would be only beneficial and not harmful to the Uchiha.

As for the thought of eliminating the threat, it only flashed through Uchiha Ken's mind for a moment before vanishing.

Although the Uchiha were wary of the higher-ups due to the rebellion of Uchiha Setsuna and others, he was, after all, a part of Konoha.

Furthermore, there was currently only an estrangement between the Uchiha and the Village, with no obvious friction.

With flowers and applause on one side and being publicly condemned on the other, he naturally wouldn't be so foolish as to lead the Uchiha toward a dead end.

Glancing at Fugaku standing before him, a complex emotion flashed in Uchiha Ken's eyes.

As the Young Clan Chief, Fugaku's talent was up to standard, but he wasn't very outstanding in other aspects.

He not only lacked the ability to judge the situation, but his personality was also somewhat indecisive and not firm enough, which was completely at odds with his appearance.

Uchiha Ken worried that his son wouldn't be able to shoulder the responsibility of Clan Chief, but in the current younger generation of the clan, he really couldn't find anyone more outstanding than Fugaku.

Thinking of this, Uchiha Ken sighed slightly: "To be taken as a Disciple by Tsunade at this age, that child must have his strengths. You can try to associate with him."

"Yes."

Fugaku nodded slightly.

Meanwhile, at the Training Ground.

Minato's Laser blast had lowered the water level of the small lake significantly.

The grass by the lake had turned into mud, and coupled with the embankment Tsunade had collapsed earlier, the entire Training Ground looked like it had been swept by a typhoon, in a complete mess.

Tsunade jumped onto the remaining embankment and looked at the scene, tsking: "It seems that in terms of power, I, as your teacher, can no longer guide you in anything."

"I've thought about changing the attack method."

Minato suggested: "For example, turning the light into a serrated disc to enhance cutting power. After all, my Laser only deals piercing damage and might not be suitable for all situations. I've already thought of a name; let's call it the Sawman of Light!"

Tsunade shook her head: "The idea is good, but forget the name."

This kid's naming talent is truly bizarre... "Then how about Halo Cutter?"

"Hmm?"

Tsunade was stunned; it was rare for this kid to suggest a name that was somewhat decent.

"Fine, let's call it Halo Cutter then."

To prevent Minato from saying any more cringe-inducing names, Tsunade quickly nodded.

"Um... Teacher?"

"Hmm?"

"I plan to restore the environment here, otherwise it might cause trouble for those who come to Cultivate later."

Minato's voice was a bit awkward: "Can you put me down first?"

"Hmm?"

Tsunade looked down and realized Minato was still in her arms, her ample chest pressing firmly against the back of his head.

Seeing his embarrassed little face, a playful smile curled Tsunade's lips: "What a precocious brat."

Minato looked even more embarrassed.

Seeing this, Tsunade couldn't help but laugh and put Minato on the ground.

Minato silently created three Wood Clones; the moment they were released, they flickered to three other positions around the lake.

Then the four of them formed Hand Seals simultaneously: "Earth Release: Earth-Style Wall!"

Rumble—

The ground trembled, and the collapsed embankment rose up again, restoring its original appearance.

Next, Minato clapped his hands: "Wood Release Technique!"

The slopes of the embankment and the muddy shores turned green again, covered by grass.

Trees sprouted from the ground, surrounding the lake, and the three Wood Clones also became trees and merged into them as Incarnations.

"Water Release: Waterfall Basin Technique!"

Minato formed seals again; waves suddenly rose on the lake, and the water level began to rise at a speed visible to the naked eye.

After finishing all this, Minato finally let out a long breath.

First a massive Laser, then releasing three terrain-altering Ninjutsu; his Chakra was about to run dry.

Tsunade watched this scene, marvelling: "It feels like watching the Creator creating the world."

Minato gave a dry laugh: "Teacher... this place was destroyed by me in the first place."

Tsunade's words were fine, but to him, the perpetrator, it sounded a bit like dark humor.

"It's okay, this is a Training Ground, not a fish pond."

Tsunade waved her hand: "Currently, there's indeed no room for development in terms of attack. How do you plan to develop the functional aspects? Any ideas?"

"Starting with color changes, like this..."

Minato raised his index finger, and a white light suddenly bloomed from the tip.

Then the white light's color gradually deepened, changing through red, orange, yellow, green, cyan, blue, and violet: "Normally this ability is golden yellow, but I can change the color of the light by changing my thoughts."

Tsunade was stunned: "Thoughts? Not technique? That's too casual, isn't it?"

Minato tilted his small head and spread his hands slightly: "That's just how the principle works."

"So nice, I want an ability like that too."

Tsunade was truly envious!

No need for Chakra control techniques, it activates with just a thought; this is much more convenient than Ninjutsu, and more importantly, the power is stronger too!

"I think maybe I can create Optical Illusions by changing the color of light..."

As Minato spoke, he raised both hands and projected a curtain of light over the lake, dyeing the water golden yellow.

"It's a good idea. Not only can it confuse the enemy, but it can also achieve a cloaking effect, even hiding large-scale troops depending on the coverage area."

Tsunade stroked her chin in thought: "But the practical value is limited; it probably can't fool sensory Ninja, but it's enough for a surprise attack. So, to what extent can you do it now?"

"I'll try..."

Minato tried to shape the light; this process wasn't difficult for him.

According to what he thought, a projection of Tsunade quickly appeared on the lake, looking exactly like her, just slightly ethereal.

"Not bad, it's already close to the Clone Jutsu."

Tsunade mused: "Being able to do it so smoothly means it can be developed in this direction, right?"

"Yes."

"Then let's start researching from this aspect!"

Seeing Minato nod, Tsunade perked up, intending to seriously fulfill her duties as a teacher.

Meanwhile, inside the Ninja Academy.

The previous explosion had caused a panic among the students.

Only Minato's Wood Clone was calm; after all, he was just a Wood Clone and wouldn't be threatened by death.

And the light from the explosion just now looked a lot like the Laser blast of the Glint-Glint Fruit; it must have been released by the main body.

Did he encounter an enemy?

It didn't matter; with Elementalization, it wasn't a big deal. It wasn't a Wood Clone's place to worry.

"Everyone, quiet!"

Iruka Umino shouted in a deep voice; the Village had emergency protocols for such sudden situations.

If it were an enemy attack, the Anbu should have appeared at the school by now.

"Continue the lesson!"

"Ehh—"

The students wailed in disappointment.
