Chapter 3: Commercial Revolution

The year now well into 293, 4 years into the long summer, Arthur was readying his first industry to open, thankfully due to his creative menu he didn't have to miss out on any profits in this venture, afterall who wants to open an alcohol business having to wait the aging process. Alcohol is this worlds oil, it even shares the nickname of liquid gold, and the idea that only 3 alcohols exist in this world is a travesty. Red Wine, Mead, and Ale of course there's also the fermented goat milk north of the wall but no thanks.

With the help of being able to fill shulkers in his menu with items, he started with his Cellar Technicians another special villager type derived from Brewer Eggs, these workers help with storage and managing the alcohols condition, allowing Arthur to just place shulker boxes down, and replace them when empty as the techs store the alcohol. Thanks to his own knowledge of alcohol in his past life he had factories up and running making Vodka, Whiskey, Moonshine, Mead, Wine, Rum, Brandy, Tequila, and even a few craft beers.

He made sure to host his family one night, offering an array of his wines and spirits, ultimately being correct on most of his prior guesses on what who liked, most notably being surprised himself at how good the spiced rum was as he always preferred spiced rum, but this was better. Robert as he figured fell in love with his Jack Whiskey, Stannis followed Arthur in Spiced Rum, Renly found himself liking the new white wine, Cersei practically cradled her bottle of Tequila, and Tywin found Brandy to be a refined man centered replacement for wine while not being overbearing. Most notably Jon loved the Moonshine, though he found the Vodka nearly as good, and even asked if he could have a bottle of Vodka sent to Ned in the North.

Arthur refused, not out of malice, rather with a replacement offer for Ned to bring a few of his family members down, and he would in return send them back to the North with a free cart of Vodka should he like it. When Jon Arryn found the idea agreeable, Arthur took the chance to convince him to have Ned bring his bastard, and even had Jon mention how the crown prince wished to meet Robb, Jon, and even Sansa.

The part about Sansa shocked Jon as he was 1 of the few Arthur had told about his plan to marry Daenerys, Arthur had also mentioned it to Tywin who found it to be a master stroke of genius, afterall he and Robert spent 8 years trying to have the last Targaryens killed and failed.

In the end Ned replied that he would be coming down, sadly it would take longer, and he wouldn't be able to beat the opening of Baratheon Liquors. The crown was going to need as much coin as possible for what Arthur had planned for the coming year, because he's going to piss off 1 of the largest and most powerful institutions in Westeros, and it's going to cost millions to set everything up.

Opening day was a hit, Mead and Ale cheap enough for even peasants, Brandy and Whiskey that made nobles wish they were as rich as a Lannister, just so they could go broke. The Baratheon Pubs were filled with commoners drinking and tasting all of the different liquors.

The tradition of bar crawls even influenced nobles, the streets of Kings Landing were packed with joy, but not the castle as it was still under construction.

A week later the new Brothels opened, the first 2 floors were for any manor of man, while the basement or rather "dungeons" were for more taboo focused clientele, and the 3rd floor was only for high paying and specialized interests. The women that were on the 3rd floor were spawned through Whore Eggs, they were all women who's beauty was on a level of super models in his past life, and their skills surpassing even Petyr Baelish's best girls.

Within days it was famous across all of Westeros, nobles and merchants were thinking up excuses to visit the capital, all just for a night with just 1 of those women, but the problem being the price both to their gold and that which would come from their wives.

Arthur had created these Brothels as a third spy network, organized to start in Kings Landing, then they would slowly spread across Planetos, but that requires time to complete. Plus it's an easy business that experienced a power vacuum that was never truly filled after Petyr's death.

With this second business Arthur saw coin flowing into the crowns coffers, he knew it was time to start impacting the populations unemployment issues, starting with making minor schools to teach trades, starting with cooking, smithing, tailoring, even farming, and animal husbandry. Offering educational loans through banks that could cover the cost of the trade school's tuition, he further promoted the Night's Watch, where people will be trained and fed for 3 months, before being sent north to the wall, and their families would receive a stipend in return for their service.

A new public services service was opened, after going through rigorous training and psychological tests, should they pass people can be hired, and wind up working as policing firefighters. Their tasks being to help the crown keep the peace, while the traditional guards will slowly begin to transfer to ending the banditry within the Castlelands.

At the same time enlistment stations have been opened in the city and surrounding towns, promoting the annihilation of bandits, and barbaric tribes. At the same time, Arthur began spawning Farmers, who were meant to teach improved agricultural knowledge and techniques to the common people, and that was later followed by builders creating massive fields.

With the help of a farming modpack Arthur began replacing soil with enriched soil, allowing for larger yields, and he even secretly helped create orchards. Allowing for a variety of production. It would only be a matter of time before the castlelands subjects would rest with full stomachs.

He then began to work on a few new construction projects, as well as creating more guilds, and even a few new orders to be put under the crown in the future.
