Chapter 1 - Chapter 1 - Reincarnation

Darkness.

Not the kind that felt heavy or suffocating—just… empty. No ground. No sky. No sound.

"…Where am I?"

The words echoed into nothingness.

"This is the Realm of Gods."

I flinched.

In front of me, space warped slightly, and an old man appeared—long white beard, relaxed expression, casually sitting on what looked like…

"…Is that a massage chair?"

"Yes," the old man said calmly. "Very comfortable."

I stared at him.

"Okay. That's already suspicious. So… why exactly am I here?"

The old man looked at me as if I had asked the most obvious question in existence.

"Because you died, of course."

"…Pardon?"

"You died."

"…Like—died died?"

"Yes."

I blinked once.Then twice.

"…You're not joking, right?"

"No."

Silence.

Then I sighed.

"…Huh. So that's it."

The old man raised an eyebrow.

"You're… surprisingly calm."

I scratched my head.

"Well, yeah. I mean, what do you expect? Student life isn't exactly easy, you know. Expectations, exams, assignments, future anxiety… It's exhausting. You thought I'd start crying and beg you to send me back or something?"

The god stared at me.

For a long moment.

"…The last time I judged a soul," he muttered, "it was kneeling, crying, begging to return to the world."

He looked genuinely confused now.

"Has humanity truly changed while I slept? Or is this human simply… strange?"

I tilted my head.

"Hey, uh… God, right?"

"Yes?"

"So… what now? Are you going to judge me or something?"

"Not particularly," he replied. "You were young when you died. There is no need for judgment."

He leaned back into his massage chair.

"I will simply give you a new life."

"Oh?"

"And a gift. Whatever you wish."

My eyes widened.

"…Anything?"

"Yes."

I didn't even hesitate.

"First—what kind of world are you sending me to?"

He smiled faintly.

"A fantasy world. Magic. Different races. Swords and spells."

"…Perfect."

"And your gift?"

I thought for a moment.

"Programming. Or coding. Something like that—but as a talent."

The god closed his eyes briefly.

"…Interesting."

When he opened them again, he nodded.

"Very well."

He waved his hand lazily.

"I have also given you a few additional gifts that may help you along the way."

"Wait—what exactly does the programming talent—"

The world shattered.

"—do?!"

I gasped.

"…Huh?"

Cold air brushed against my skin.

Tall trees surrounded me, their leaves rustling softly.

"…A forest?"

I looked around in disbelief.

"He seriously sent me before explaining anything…?"

I sighed.

"Well… at least he didn't reincarnate me as a baby."

I clenched my fist.

"So I have a programming talent… and some other gifts. But how do I even use them—"

Suddenly—

A blue screen materialized in front of me.

"…Holy—"

The screen flickered once.

Then stabilized.

And for the first time since arriving in this world, I smiled.

I stared at it.

"…Am I seeing this right?"

I reached out instinctively, and the screen responded.

"…Infinite mana?"

I blinked.

Then blinked again.

"If I'm not mistaken," I muttered, "mana is the source… the energy required to cast spells, shape magic, or make imagination into reality."

That's how it worked in novels. Games. Anime.

And this thing was telling me mine was infinite.

"…That's not 'not bad.' That's straight-up broken."

I looked back at the screen.

"All affinities too… huh."

I scratched my head.

"So these are the 'extra gifts' that god casually mentioned."

My gaze shifted to the last line.

"Magic and skill creation… directly linked to my talent."

"…Yeah, that sounds dangerous."

I exhaled slowly.

"Alright. First things first."

How do I actually use magic?

"Do I just… imagine it?"

I raised my hand.

"A ball of fire."

Nothing happened.

"…Fireball."

The air in front of me distorted.

Then—

FWOOSH

A small sphere of flames formed, hovering calmly in midair.

"…It worked."

I stared at it, fascinated.

"So it really is imagination plus intent."

I waved my hand, and the fireball dispersed instantly.

"Alright, let's try something else."

"Water—form."

A clear sphere of water appeared, floating gently.

"Wind."

A sudden gust rushed past me, rustling the leaves and nearly knocking me off balance.

"Whoa—okay, noted."

I steadied myself.

"Earth."

The ground in front of me rose slightly, forming a rough stone pillar.

"…That's insane."

My heartbeat quickened—not from fear, but excitement.

"Ice."

The moisture in the air crystallized, forming sharp shards of ice that glimmered faintly before shattering and vanishing.

Lightning crackled briefly around my fingertips when I thought about it—too unstable, so I cut it off immediately.

"…Yeah. I should probably be careful with that one."

I lowered my hand and laughed quietly.

"This is way too easy."

I glanced back at the status screen.

"No spells listed… no skills either."

Which meant—
