"Dad…"
"Yes, dear?"
"Thanks. Even though you acted like a stalker."
Gavin chuckled. "I prefer to call it thorough parenting."
"That sounds exactly like something a stalker would say."
He laughed and shook his head. "Since you're still energetic, I'm going to call your mates."
"Dad!"
I quickly sat up but Gavin was already walking towards the door.
"Wait! Dad, hold on!"
He opened the door.
"Maybe I need to rest a little more!"
"You just called me a stalker and insulted my parenting skills. You have plenty of energy."
"That has nothing to do with my physical condition!"
Gavin simply smiled. "I'll send them in."
"DAD!"
He stepped outside.
I scrambled out of bed and rushed toward the door, but before I could reach it, Gavin calmly closed it behind him.
Click.
I stared at the closed door before slowly pressing my forehead against it.
"Traitor…"
From the other side, I heard Gavin's amused voice.
"I heard that."
