I wake up to hear a knocking on my door. I slowly get up and walk towards where the sound is coming from.
Rubbing my eyes, I open the door and see Xander waiting on the other side.
"Did you forget?" He asks but my brain is too fogged up to comprehend what he is saying.
"Huh?" I mumble.
"I'm here for my tutoring. Did you forget?" He questions, looking me up and down.
My eyes widen, realizing that I forgot to set and alarm after we got the times. I was too busy on getting ready for going to the gym that I didn't remember.
"No no stay here. I just gotta get ready."
"Don't worry I don't mind. I think you look great already," he smirks and looks at my disheveled hair with a bonnet falling out, my puffy face, and my unwashed pjamas.
Holy shit this is so embarrassing. My cheeks flame and I rush to freshen up.
"Do you want a coffee?" I ask when I finally look somewhat put together.
"Sure. I mean it is hard getting up this early." He states sarcastically.
"I like to sleep what can I say?" I shrug. "Anyways, what kind do you want? I can make you a bunch of fun drinks if you want."
"I love fun drinks," he says. "I'll take whatever is your favorite."
I'm immediately excited. I love making drinks for people, which is why I worked as a barista in high school. Every time my friends come over, I make them a fun drink.
"You know, I could make you one whenever you'd come over if you'd like," I say, handing him his cup.
"Sure. Do you like making these?"
"I love to," I say with a stupid smile on my face.
He takes a sip and immediately grins, "you know I've had a lot of coffees in my life but I think this might just be one of my favorites."
"Really? You're lying. It's not even that good."
"I'm so serious."
I smile, opening one of the calculus books.
"Okay now. Let's get going with this." He groans and we start working.
"When did you realize you liked making these drinks?" Xander asks as I'm checking over his papers full of his work.
"It started the summer before Freshman year. I already loved coffees so much, but my mom said that we had to stop wasting money on drinks from outside, so I started making them myself. I actually really started liking it, so I made it almost every day when I woke up. Even though this whole thing was to stop wasting our money, I ended up making them pay for the drinks so I could get some money like my own little business. It was honestly pretty smart of me because I got hundreds in only a couple months."
He let out a laugh "I love that. You really do like coffee don't you?"
"It's amazing."
"Well I'll be trying anything and everything you make from now on."
"I'm glad. Get ready for it because I have a lot of ideas and drinks for you to be testing out for me."
"I can't wait."
