World War III has being going on for half a decade.
India which remained neutral till last year finally entre the war.
Undisclosed Naval Base: Indian Ocean
A bright day in the middle of summer with some cloud cover.
A man holding a file boards an Air Craft Carrier.
"Welcome abord the INS Ashoka sir, the Admiral is waiting for you."
"Thank your sir, please lead the way."
Both walk across the ship to the island and go to the flag bridge. As they entire they see several officers gathered there with an old man with grey hair at the center.
"Hello Admiral Varma, it is a pleasure to meet you."
"Welcome Raj Beta. I hope your journey here was uneventful."
"With all due respect sir, but I am here on business"
"Fisty as always, I am just worried about you after what happened last month"
"Thank you for your concern Admiral, as you can see I am fine. Here are the files for the new assignments and the such."
The young man holds the files in front of him. The Admiral takes the files and takes a look at them, then he hands over them to an officer.
"Officer Sharma get the fleet read to move out."
"Raj beta come on lets have a cup of tea and catch up."
"If you wish for it then it will be my pleasure"
Raj and the Admiral move out of the flag bridge and move to a room in the lower decks.
"How are you Raj? If you are in need of anything please contact me. I am here for you."
Thank you for your concern uncle. I am doing just fine and in fact I got a promotion the other day."
The old man sitting in front me was a family relative of mine from my father's side. Both he and my father joined the armed forces, my father enlisted in the army while he enlisted in the navy. Both performed exceptionally and were promoted to the highest post in both of their respectives wings of the armed forces.
My father was near the front lines of the war to boast troop moral and to conduct inspection. During this assignment this transport plan was brough down with a missile and he along with all the plan's crew died in the crash.
As for myself I cleared UPSE and joined the IAS and as of now am forking for the PMO.
