Chapter 112 - SURVIVAL 35: SO LONG, MY FRIEND

"Be a victor, not a victim."

THIRD-PERSON'S POV

"S-Seyah?"

Heavien's feet were glued to the ground, not taking a step when she saw Seyah's knife pointing at her neck. Seyah is standing behind her.

"Do you think you can escape?" Seyah is threatening her not to move.

Heavien sweated coldly as she stared at the tip of her sharp knife. If she's right, her knife is the second biggest. The first two buttons of her blouse are undone. She checked her mark on the chest, but she could only see half of it.

"Saturn," she mumbled.

"Huh?"

"You want to know my mark, don't you?"

"Ah, yes," So she has 'Saturn' on her.

Seyah is lowering her knife. "Be thankful for sparing you."

"You won't kill me?"

"You want me to?" she asked sarcastically.

"No, of course not."

There's no telling what this girl can do.

"If you don't want to, you'd better run. I might change my mind."

She left promptly and ran away.

What has gotten into her?

Heavien really thought she was totally done for.

"First, Jecko, and Seyah are missing!"

She was shocked by what she heard when Trake shouted.

Leonthan? Where are they?

When she can finally call him by his name, then he disappears. She became agitated and had a hunch. As she recalls the comics she wrote, something bad will happen.

"I met Seyah earlier near the kitchen," She let them all know of what happened a few minutes ago. Seyah might be wandering inside the mansion.

"Search the whole mansion," Brenille ordered them to search for the other two.

"The door is open," Rochevel reported.

She is already out of the mansion. For some unknown reason, they are no longer trapped here. Author must have let them out to expand the place of killing.

"What?" Brenille gasped. "Trake and I will search outside. The two of you will search inside."

"Roger!" they chorused.

"Rochevel, you search for them on the ground floor. I'll go on the second and third," Heavien requested to Rochevel.

"Copy that," she agreed.

Heavien ran upstairs while holding her small knife. She entered the boy's room one by one, but she saw no trace of the two. She went out of the last bedroom but left with nothing. She saw Rochevel. They have the same report. They gathered back in the living area. Trake and Brenille returned while panting.

"What happened?" Rochevel questioned, and they approached them

"Don't go out," Trake warned, catching his breath.

Heavien was about to run out when Brenille stopped her. "Wait! It's dangerous outside. There's-"

"What's in there?" She could no longer restrain herself from worrying about the missing two.

"There's a corpse! Over there, near that acacia tree. It's dark, so we can't really identify who it was." News by Trake.

She backed away from her position.

The corpse of whom?

That can't be.

"Can we go and find out whose body it is?" Rochevel suggested.

"Right now-"

Heavien cut Trake off. "Can I go? Please," she pleaded, especially to Brenille.

"Alright. This is a risky decision, but we need to confirm coherence. Rochevel, you'll stay here. We will identify the corpse." Brenille permitted.

The three ran out of the mansion.

"Is there a flashlight?" Heavien queried.

It's dark outside the mansion with no streetlight, but only moonlight that lights the area.

"There are no tools inside except for cooking tools," Brenille replied. He adjusted his eyeglasses.

"There," Trake pointed to the acacia tree he mentioned.

Even though it was dark and only the moon gave them light, she saw the silhouette of a body lying on the ground beside an acacia tree.

"Did you go near the corpse or touch it?" She questioned the two.

"No," they both answered.

They slowly approached while covering her mouth and nose with her hands, and... for sure, she would not be able to handle such a scene.

"Gosh!" She shrieked.

A c-cut off head!

There's only a body, but the head is nowhere to be found. There's a stab in the chest where their markings are located. The tattoo on the chest is not very visible because it is dark, and there's a knife stuck in it. The knife used was... the biggest one!

Heavien cried, kneeling beside the corpse lying. She covered her face as her eyes swelled. Trake stood her up and embraced her. She hugged him back because she couldn't control how she felt anymore.

Why him? Tell me I was imagining things.

The school uniform worn by the corpse was the same as her school uniform that Leonthan wears. The knife used was the biggest, whose owner was none other than Jecko's.

"I'll go get some leaves," Brenille left them for a moment.

He cut off the banana leaf just next to the acacia tree. He and Trake covered the corpse with leaves. They blocked it with stones.

"Let's go back," Brenille told them.

They went back inside the mansion and sat in the living area. Rochevel also couldn't stop crying because of the news.

"The culprit is on the loose. We must not let our guard down," Brenille warned them. "He can't get away either because we're in the middle of the island."

"Island?" Heavien asked.

"Yes. The settings of the game changed. We just noticed it earlier when I heard the sound of waves. This mansion is in the middle of an island, so the culprit is not that far from us."

She's getting it right. That is also what was written in her comics. That the place where they are right now will be different. Everything she wrote in her comics is almost identical to what is really happening today.

But the other part is still vague to her, and it comes to her too late that she could not prevent the bad events from happening. Does this game happen to be what it is because of the comics she wrote? Can that really happen? Is the story from her comic is coming true and happening now?

If what she thinks is possible and right, is she to blame for why this is happening? That many died and suffered because of what she wrote? Or maybe because she's played tri-games before, so she wrote that story.

She shuddered at the imagined possibility. She didn't think it was impossible because Author mentioned that everything impossible becomes possible when they are here on the nth planet. Leonthan also mentioned that this was the second tri-games, and he won the first tri-games.

What is really going on?

Her heart beats faster, and she can't help but put the blame on herself. If ever she started this game, she should be the one to end it.
