Chapter – The Nightmare of Heaven
The battlefield remained eerily silent.
Fragments of shattered galaxies drifted endlessly through the void, while the wounds left across space itself had yet to heal. The clash between the two supreme beings had already surpassed the limits of reality.
Angel Dao slowly raised his head and looked at Haruki Kaiba.
"Round Two... shall we begin?"
Haruki narrowed his eyes. A faint smile appeared on his face before it was replaced by disbelief.
"So... you're still alive?"
He stared carefully at Angel Dao's perfectly restored body.
"But how? Wait... you used the Reverse Holy Technique, didn't you? I never imagined you could master something like that."
Angel Dao smiled calmly.
"Why are you surprised? In this world... nothing is impossible."
The moment those words left his mouth—
A thin white line suddenly passed straight through Angel Dao's body.
Then another.
Another.
Another.
Within an instant, billions of brilliant white slashes erupted from every direction.
Each slash possessed unimaginable power.
Entire galaxies were sliced apart as though they were made of paper. Every galaxy caught within the attack shattered into billions of tiny fragments. Space itself split open endlessly, unable to withstand the force of the cuts.
Only then was it revealed—
This devastating attack had been launched by Haruki Kaiba.
Haruki had intentionally distracted Angel Dao with conversation while secretly preparing his attack. His battle IQ was extraordinary. He knew that even a fraction of hesitation could decide the outcome of a fight between monsters like them.
The moment Angel Dao lowered his guard...
Haruki struck.
Everything happened within less than a second.
When the attack finally ended...
There was no trace of Angel Dao.
Not even a single particle of his body remained.
Haruki silently stared at the empty space where his opponent had been standing.
One second...
Two...
Three...
Four...
Five...
Six.
Then—
Without warning, Angel Dao completely regenerated his body.
The regeneration was so unbelievably fast that even Haruki Kaiba—whose perception could easily follow speeds far beyond light itself—failed to see when or how Angel Dao had restored himself.
Angel Dao stretched his shoulders as if nothing had happened.
"Hmm..."
He looked toward Haruki with an amused expression.
"Haruki... I didn't expect someone like you to be such a cheater."
He laughed.
"Who attacks in the middle of a conversation? That's completely nonsense, boy."
Before Angel Dao could finish speaking—
Haruki had already prepared another technique.
His hand glowed with crimson energy.
Soul Burn Technique.
But this time...
Angel Dao was ready.
The instant Haruki released his attack—
Angel Dao activated his own supreme technique.
World Burn Technique.
The moment the technique was unleashed, reality itself began to melt.
Space dissolved like ice beneath an endless sun.
Dimensions warped.
The laws governing existence started collapsing.
Even Haruki's Soul Burn Technique began melting before it could reach Angel Dao.
The true horror of World Burn Technique wasn't simple destruction.
It could melt absolutely anything.
Matter.
Energy.
Space.
Sound.
Light.
Even logic itself.
Nothing was beyond its reach.
Watching his own attack disappear, Haruki's expression became serious.
"So... this is your true power."
"If this attack keeps expanding, it will erase everything."
Haruki immediately realized one terrifying fact.
Angel Dao wasn't merely destroying space.
He was melting the very logic that allowed existence to function.
"If I want to survive..."
"I'll have to use my strongest technique."
Haruki gathered every drop of cosmic energy within his body.
An ocean of blood-red cosmic aura exploded around him.
He slowly spoke the name of his ultimate move.
Cosmic Blood Slash.
Haruki understood that simply overpowering Angel Dao wouldn't be enough.
The only possible solution was to erase the logic of reality before Angel Dao's technique consumed everything.
Doing so would force the entire multiverse to reverse itself and reset the laws of existence.
It was an incredibly dangerous gamble.
As Angel Dao's attack was only moments away from striking him—
Haruki stopped thinking.
He attacked.
At the exact same instant—
Angel Dao released the full power of World Burn Technique.
The two ultimate attacks rushed toward each other.
Both warriors smiled.
"This ends now."
Their voices echoed together.
Everything was about to disappear—
But...
Nothing happened.
A massive golden portal suddenly opened high above the battlefield.
An overwhelming divine pressure descended upon reality.
Every universe trembled.
A figure stepped out from the portal.
A Messenger of Heaven.
His cold voice echoed throughout existence.
"Enough."
"Stop this battle."
"Because of your fight, chaos has spread across countless worlds."
"It seems... both of you wish to be sealed like him."
Angel Dao calmly scratched his head before replying with complete confidence.
"Nah."
"I'm not stupid enough to fight the entire Celestial Army... especially Heaven itself."
The Heavenly Messenger looked directly at both warriors.
"You have violated Heaven's Laws."
"Your battle threatens the balance of existence."
"End this fight."
"Otherwise..."
"You shall be punished the same way he was."
The Messenger's words immediately caught Haruki's attention.
"Wait..."
"Who is 'he'?"
"The one who fought the entire Celestial Army?"
"The strongest military force of Heaven?"
"And even challenged Heaven itself?"
The Messenger remained expressionless.
"That is someone you do not need to know."
"My mission was only to deliver Heaven's warning."
"My duty is complete."
The golden portal closed.
The Messenger disappeared.
Silence returned.
Angel Dao and Haruki both looked toward the sky.
Then they looked at each other.
For several seconds...
Neither spoke.
Suddenly—
Both burst into laughter.
"Hahahahaha!"
"That was incredible!"
Haruki wiped a tear from his eye.
"We were so busy fighting..."
"...that Heaven itself had to come personally just to stop us."
Angel Dao laughed just as hard.
"Looks like we still haven't decided who's stronger."
Haruki smiled.
"So..."
"When do we continue this fight?"
Angel Dao grinned.
"When Heaven finally stops trying to seal us."
"Deal."
The two warriors shook hands before opening portals leading back to their respective worlds.
As they walked away, Haruki asked one final question.
"Earlier..."
"The man the Heavenly Messenger mentioned..."
"Who exactly was he?"
Angel Dao's smile slowly faded.
His eyes became unusually serious.
"He was a legend."
"The greatest nightmare Heaven has ever known."
"The only man who declared war against the entire Celestial Army... and survived long enough to make Heaven fear his name."
"He earned a title that no one else in history could ever possess."
Angel Dao looked toward the endless sky.
His voice became quiet.
'The Nightmare of Heaven.'
And somewhere beyond the highest realms...
Even Heaven still remembered that name.
