Chapter 26 - Against heaven

Chapter — The Battle Against Heaven

The chapter begins on an enormous battlefield.

The battlefield was so vast that it was comparable to countless worlds combined. At the very top of a towering mountain, a man was casually sitting there, completely unconcerned about the massive army standing before him.

He was even picking his nose with his little finger.

After a moment, the man sighed.

"Ugh… These Heavens really know how to disturb my life."

The scene then shifted to his point of view.

Standing before him was the entire Celestial Army of Heaven.

But this was no ordinary army.

Among them were 32 Demi-Gods, 12 Heavenly Emperors, a Half-Buddha Form, 98 Heavenly Envoys, and the enormous Celestial Army.

All of them had gathered for one purpose—

To defeat a single man.

And that man was sitting casually on top of the mountain, looking at them as if they were nothing more than a group of ants.

His name was revealed.

Ravana.

The greatest Traitor of Heaven.

Ravana slowly stood up from his position.

He took a deep breath.

Then—

"HAAAAAAAAAAAA!"

His roar exploded across the battlefield.

The ground beneath him shattered from the sheer force of his voice. The shockwave tore through the earth and rushed toward the Celestial Army.

But just before the attack could reach them—

BOOM!

A gigantic shield suddenly appeared in front of the Celestial Army.

Ravana's attack slammed into the shield.

Although the shield successfully blocked the attack, enormous shockwaves spread throughout the surrounding area, shaking the entire battlefield.

Ravana raised an eyebrow.

"Oh? What an impressive move."

He smiled.

"So even Buddha has decided to join the fight?"

The scene revealed that the one who had stopped Ravana's attack was none other than Lord Buddha, or rather, his Half-Buddha Form.

Ravana laughed.

"Hahaha! What an honor."

"So Heaven actually sent a God himself just to stop me?"

He stretched his body and grinned.

"Wonderful. This is finally getting interesting."

Ravana looked toward Buddha.

"Then I suppose I should give you my best as well."

He pointed toward the army.

"I've already defeated all of these little minions of yours. Now, Buddha, why don't you fight me yourself?"

Ravana suddenly slammed both of his hands into the ground.

BOOOOOOM!

The entire battlefield began to crack.

Massive fissures spread across the earth like countless snakes. The ground itself seemed to be collapsing, and the Celestial Army was forced backward by the overwhelming power.

Ravana frowned.

"Hmm…"

"This isn't fun."

He looked at the enormous army.

"You have billions of people, don't you?"

A sinister smile appeared on his face.

"Then why don't I create an army of my own?"

Suddenly, Ravana's shadow began to expand.

It spread across the battlefield like an endless ocean of darkness.

Then—

BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!

Figures began emerging from the shadows.

One after another.

Thousands.

Millions.

Each creature looked almost exactly like Ravana.

In a short amount of time, an enormous army had appeared behind him, its numbers almost matching the Celestial Army.

Ravana looked toward the 32 Demi-Gods.

"And as for those Demi-Gods…"

His smile became wider.

"I've always wanted to see what true power really looks like."

He raised his hand.

"Go."

"Attack!"

The army created from Ravana's shadows immediately charged forward.

"AAAAAAAHHH!"

At the same time, the Celestial Army also advanced.

The two armies collided.

BOOOOOOM!

The battlefield instantly descended into chaos.

Countless figures clashed from every direction.

The battle continued for several minutes, with explosions and shockwaves spreading across the entire battlefield.

The Missing History

The scene suddenly changed.

We now saw Ravana standing alone before the 32 Demi-Gods.

But before the scene could continue, the narration suddenly stopped.

Angel Dao spoke.

"I honestly don't know what happened after that."

Haruki Kaiba immediately became irritated.

"What do you mean you don't know?"

"You're not telling me what happened, are you?"

Angel Dao sighed.

"No, that's not it."

"The Heavens completely erased what happened afterward from history."

Haruki Kaiba's expression changed.

"What?"

"Erased it from history?"

"Then… you never met him?"

Angel Dao became silent for a moment.

"I did."

"But back then…"

"He was different."

Haruki Kaiba frowned.

"Different?"

"How could he be different?"

Angel Dao didn't answer.

It was obvious that he was hiding something.

Haruki Kaiba looked at him for a while before sighing.

"Forget it."

"You clearly don't want to tell me."

"Fine. Keep it to yourself."

The two then began descending toward the lower world.

The Rise of the Heavenly God Profound Sect

The scene changed again.

The Heavenly God Profound Sect had been completely destroyed.

However, Angel Dao and Haruki Kaiba had established a special contract between themselves.

According to the contract, if either of them ever fell into a dangerous situation, the other party would be required to come and help.

Time passed.

1,000 disciples.

Then—

2,000.

Then—

3,000.

The sect continued becoming stronger.

More and more powerful disciples joined.

The Heavenly God Profound Sect gradually began rebuilding itself and growing into a powerful force once again.

Another scene appeared high in the sky.

Angel Dao and Haruki Kaiba were watching the development of the sect from above.

Angel Dao looked down.

"Hmm…"

"Your sect is becoming quite strong."

Haruki Kaiba shook his head.

"Not really."

"It still isn't strong enough to defeat the Heavens."

Angel Dao's expression instantly became strange.

"What did you just say?"

"The Heavens?"

"Are you crazy?"

"Where are the Heavens, and where are you?"

"Thank goodness the Heavens didn't hear you saying that."

"Otherwise, you probably wouldn't even be standing here right now."

Haruki Kaiba smiled.

"Yeah, I know."

"But one day…"

"I'll reach a point where I can cut the Heavens apart with my sword."

"And when that day comes, the two of us will finally be able to fight seriously."

Angel Dao stared at him.

Then he sighed.

"Ugh…"

"Do you ever use your brain?"

"Whatever."

"But if your sect really becomes that powerful…"

"Then I might actually have to take you seriously."

Haruki Kaiba laughed.

"Hahaha!"

Angel Dao's Plan

After a moment, Angel Dao asked,

"So, how is your plan going?"

Haruki Kaiba looked at him.

"What plan?"

"The plan you mentioned before," Angel Dao replied.

"You said that you were going to create levels and ranks for cultivation."

"Oh…"

Haruki Kaiba nodded.

"That."

"It'll still take me around 5,000 years to complete it."

Haruki Kaiba raised an eyebrow.

"Five thousand years?"

"You were talking about creating cultivation levels and ranks, right?"

Angel Dao nodded.

"Yeah."

"Back then, people in this world simply cultivated. There were no proper levels or ranks."

"I know where you got the idea from."

"You saw those kinds of systems in another world, didn't you?"

Angel Dao remained silent.

Haruki Kaiba continued.

"You want to introduce that kind of system into this world."

"I'll help you with it."

Angel Dao immediately shook his head.

"No need."

"But if I need your help, I'll call you."

Haruki Kaiba nodded.

"Fine."

"Then what are you going to do now?"

Angel Dao looked toward the distant sky.

"I'm going to the Immortal World."

His cultivation level was then revealed.

Angel Dao — Rank 2, Stage 12.

Angel Dao explained,

"I need to understand how people can properly be divided according to levels and ranks."

"To create a complete cultivation system for this world, I need to visit the Immortal World—or perhaps an even higher world."

He then looked at Haruki Kaiba.

"You can come with me if you want."

"You're not much weaker than me anymore."

Haruki Kaiba's cultivation level was revealed.

Haruki Kaiba — Rank 2, Stage 10.

Haruki Kaiba shook his head.

"No."

"I want to focus on my own cultivation."

Angel Dao frowned.

"But you can't cultivate properly in this world."

"The world's energy here is far too weak."

Haruki Kaiba nodded.

"I know."

"That is exactly why I'm going to the Immortal World."

"I'll stay there for around 2,000 years."

"After that, I'll return to this world."

The narration then explained something important.

Most of the strongest cultivators in this lower world eventually travel to the Immortal World to increase their cultivation.

After reaching a certain level, they return to the lower world and establish sects, families, or other powerful forces.

However, they cannot travel between the worlds whenever they want.

A cultivator can only travel to the Immortal World once every thousand years, and after returning to the lower world, their strength will be reduced by approximately 69%.

At the moment, however, neither Angel Dao nor Haruki Kaiba was using their true full strength.

This was because their previous battle had taken place outside the lower world.

Therefore, they had been able to use their complete power at that time.

The Departure

Angel Dao looked at Haruki Kaiba.

"Then that's fine."

"Focus on increasing your cultivation."

"But remember one thing."

"If some enemy appears while you're gone and destroys your sect…"

"I won't be coming to save you."

Haruki Kaiba smiled confidently.

"Don't worry."

"Before I leave, I'll leave behind a small portion of my soul."

"If something dangerous happens, I'll immediately know who attacked."

"And my sect isn't filled with weaklings either."

"They'll be able to handle most problems themselves."

Angel Dao nodded.

"Then that's fine."

"Goodbye."

He turned around and flew into the sky.

He was leaving to complete his plan.

Haruki Kaiba watched him disappear into the distance.

Then he looked toward the endless sky.

He sighed.

"Ugh…"

"I wonder…"

"When will this world finally have peace?"
