Chapter 207 - Chapter 207: The Ultimate Attack and Defense!

The tempo of the match had reached such a blistering pace that the commentators had no time to think about anything else. All their focus was locked onto the pitch, afraid of missing even the smallest detail.

"Kevin De Bruyne drives forward with the ball—switches it wide to the left!"

"Now to the right—still looking for Jesus!"

"Header flick-on—chance for Agüero!"

"He dives for the header!"

"Lovren gets enough on him—Agüero's header doesn't have the power!"

"Mignolet launches a quick overarm throw to spark a counterattack!"

"Wijnaldum on the ball—Mané receives it, one-two!"

"Back to Wijnaldum, carries it forward, threads it through to Firmino!"

"Firmino squares it across the face of goal—Salah charging in!"

"Hits it from a tight angle!"

"Ederson makes the save!"

...

"Everyone drops back—Liverpool retreat behind the halfway line, and Manchester City push up."

"David Silva on the ball centrally, De Bruyne drifts wide—they've interchanged positions!"

"Leo Lin is pressing aggressively, forcing David Silva toward the right flank!"

"Excellent defending—he cuts off the connection between De Bruyne and David Silva, forcing the ball wide to Bernardo Silva!"

"Robertson closes him down head-on, but Bernardo Silva turns and keeps possession."

"Mané tracks back—wins it again!"

"Long ball out to the right on the counter—Salah brings it down on his chest, holding off Kyle Walker with his back to goal!"

"He tries to cut inside, but Fernandinho tracks back and makes a perfectly timed tackle!"

"Back to Ederson—Manchester City regain control!"

"Firmino leads the press—Liverpool push up as a unit, executing another ultra-high press!"

Leo Lin surged forward in long strides, dragging the entire Liverpool shape up with him. Every player stuck rigidly to the tactical plan, pressing straight into Manchester City's defensive third.

Ederson, calm as ever, showed no urgency under Firmino's pressure.

He stood over the ball, controlling it at his feet, only releasing it sideways to Laporte when Firmino had nearly closed him down.

Mané pressed again. Laporte slipped a diagonal pass to Bernardo Silva, who had dropped all the way back to the right-back position to receive it.

Leo Lin read it early once more, quickly stepping into the defensive midfield area to mark Fernandinho, cutting off one corner of Manchester City's passing triangle.

That left Bernardo Silva with only one option—forward, toward Jesus.

Sure enough, the Portuguese midfielder lifted a long ball, once again targeting Jesus.

But Robertson had already anticipated it, charging forward to win the header, beating Jesus in the air and nodding it down to Wijnaldum!

Wijnaldum collects and lays it back to Henderson—Liverpool regain possession!

But immediately, Manchester City swarm forward with a tidal wave of ultra-high pressing.

Agüero presses like a man possessed!

Sané throws himself into blocking Henderson's passing lanes!

Leo Lin quickly drops back. Under heavy pressure, Henderson plays a short pass into him.

He had no real alternative—it's almost like offloading responsibility—but in terms of ball control and shielding, Leo Lin is clearly the better option.

Leo Lin sprints all the way from Manchester City's half back into his own, takes Henderson's pass, and bursts forward, shrugging off David Silva.

De Bruyne charges in from behind again, and Leo Lin goes down, clutching the ball to his chest!

"Beep!!!"

The referee blows for a foul!

De Bruyne protests furiously.

"No! That's never a foul!"

The referee gestures for him to step back. He's exhausted too, barely in the mood to say anything.

Leo Lin finally gets a moment to breathe. It's the 70th minute.

The past twenty minutes had felt like an eternity—not just for him, but for every player on the pitch.

Derek Rae's voice had already grown hoarse.

"This is football at its absolute peak—a battle of attack and defense taken to the extreme!"

"All 11 players on both sides are involved in attack, and all 11 in defense—even the goalkeepers are crucial in launching counterattacks!"

"When executing the high press, even the keepers step up to the edge of the box to participate in build-up play, breaking through the opponent's pressure—it's incredible!"

"Two truly elite teams delivering a match of the highest quality—simply outstanding!"

Across every broadcast, commentators could feel the tension. Whether supporting Liverpool or Manchester City, even neutral fans were completely gripped.

Leo Lin was still lying on the ground, his chest heaving—a clear sign of the sheer physical toll. This was a genuine war of attrition.

Not a single fan in the stadium remained seated. Everyone was on their feet, eyes fixed on the pitch, ready for whatever might happen next.

After taking a deep breath, Leo Lin slowly got up, high-fived a nearby teammate, and threw himself straight back into the match.

"At this point, it's no longer about tactics—it's about willpower among the 22 players on the field."

"Whoever holds out to the very end will be the winner!"

75th minute!

"Liverpool drop deep again, while Manchester City push high—they need a goal!"

"De Bruyne drops back, muscles past Henderson asking for the ball—David Silva plays it through!"

But the pass from David Silva is overhit and slightly off target. It misses De Bruyne entirely and smashes straight into Henderson's leg.

It happens too quickly—Henderson can't react. The ball ricochets off him and flies toward the penalty area.

Lovren is caught completely off guard!

The ball slips through his legs, and Agüero times his run perfectly, breaking the offside trap, bursting into the box, latching onto it, and smashing it into the net!

On the touchline, Guardiola erupts in celebration. It all happens in a flash—Manchester City have scored!

"Here it is! The chance Manchester City have been waiting for!"

"Sergio Agüero takes it and scores!"

"A scrappy, fortunate goal—but that's football!"

"Manchester City's all-time leading scorer delivers again, dragging his team back from the brink—that's the quality of Agüero!"

"You simply cannot give him even the slightest chance!"

"Liverpool were just minutes away from a historic double—but now everything is reset!"

Leo Lin shows a flicker of frustration, but quickly shakes it off. He starts clapping loudly, shouting to rally his teammates.

"It's fine!"

"We're level, not behind! Stick to the plan—keep playing our game!"

On the sidelines, both Guardiola and Klopp prepare to make changes. It's the 78th minute, and both sides are clearly running on fumes.

The sheer intensity of the match has drained every last bit of energy.

"Substitutions coming—Guardiola takes advantage of the momentum to make a change!"

"Raheem Sterling comes on to replace Sané, adding more firepower up front!"

"Klopp responds—Moreno replaces Robertson."

"And Milner comes on for Wijnaldum—two like-for-like changes."

Compared to Robertson, Moreno offers fresher legs and greater experience—brought on specifically to deal with Sterling, who has also just entered the match.

"Both sides are still raising the intensity, pushing the pace of transitions between attack and defense to the limit!"

"With just over ten minutes left, anything can happen!"
