As Danny flew out of his
house, his ghost sense went off, and he found a horse ghost that he had met
multiple times already. Danny flew down to greet the horse.
-
"Hi little horsie."
Danny greeted in Gholric. He made a few steps closer as the horse looked him in
the eyes. "Are you able to speak?" Danny asked as he reached a hand out
to the equine.
-
The horse shook their head
no and flew off in a gallop. Danny flew after the ghost horse and followed it
past a few blocks. The horse looked back and neighed in alarm.
-
"What's wrong?"
Danny asked as he turned around to find a humanoid ghost flying behind us. "Are
you the one who is scaring my friend?" Danny asked the robot looking ghost.
-
"You could say that.
I'm no longer after the horse anymore now that I have you." The spirit said
as he raised an arm and a gun came out of the arm. The robot spirit blasted at
Danny and caught him in a net.
-
"Hey!" Danny exclaimed in
English. "What'd you do that for?" Danny asked as he grabbed the net and ripped
it out.
-
"I'm a hunter kid. I hunt
exotic and rare beasts, and you, a halfa child, are both." The spirit said in
English as well. "It would be inappropriate if I fought you without introducing
ourselves." They stated as he went into a bow. "You may call me Skulker. What
may I call you besides Prey?" He said in a vicious tone.
-
"You may call me
Phantom." Danny introduced himself. "I'm new. Is this some sort of game? Or do
I really have to fight for my life?" He asked as he prepared to attack
Skulker.
-
"You really have to fight
for your life, Phantom." Skulker told the young ghost child that a new weapon
came out of his shoulder. The weapon blasted and hit Danny in the chest.
-
There was a hole in his
suit and a burn mark where the blast hit. "Ow! Take this asshole." Danny cursed
as he blasted the robot with a large blast of ecto-energy before lunging
forward after it. The blast blinded Skulker and Danny landed an energy powered
hit to both of the weapons that were out of the body. Danny flew backwards
after landing the attack.
-
Skulker just smiled and
did a combo from the other side of his body. Danny dodged the net and caught
the blast with his own ecto-blast. "Good job there Phantom." He complimented
the child on his ingenuity. That was before he tried the same tactic as before.
-
Skulker flung the blast
to the side and found that Danny wasn't behind it. Danny then appeared behind
Skulker and with one well aimed blast took out both of the weapons again. Danny
laid both hands on Skulker and pushed some energy into the technology with the
intention of short circuiting it, which worked as a jet pack came out and
blasted Skulker off. Danny opened a portal to the Infinite Realms for him to
fly into.
-
"Excellent work there
Master." Danny was startled at hearing that his teacher appeared behind him.
"Good job changing your tactic on that second attack." Aranea said as he flew
in front of Danny.
-
"Do you know anything
about this Skulker?" Danny asked, out of breath from his fight.
-
"No. Would you like me to
check him out?" Aranea asked as he used a portal to pull out a towel for Danny.
-
"Yeah, and the immediate
area around the portal. I don't want to be surprised like that by another one
if they mean harm to my friends and family." Danny told Aranea, who nodded in
agreement and went off to do their job. Danny went back to finding more ghosts,
hoping to not fight any of them.

Kim and Ron were entering
the lab that said it was owned by Vlad Co., and they were meeting with Vlad
Masters himself. Ron was excited to meet him, but Kim was wary. She didn't tell
Ron that she suspected that Mr. Masters was half ghost like Danny. Wade was
going to keep an eye on the scanners around me to find ghost energy. She didn't
think he was a villain, but she and Wade agreed that his business dealings were
too convenient to be all done without power.
-
"Greeting Kim Possible
and… I'm sorry, but I don't know your name." Mr. Masters said before moving on.
"Anyway, I'll take you to where the theft happened." He said, ignoring Ron as
he tried to introduce himself.
-
"Not that I don't want to
figure out who stole your laser, but wouldn't this be more suited to the local
police?" Kim asked the gray haired man.
-
"I believe that a ghost
has stolen my laser and I heard from a source of mine that you fought a ghost
recently." Mr. Masters told the redhead and her partner. "I used to be a
paranormal scientist that studied ghosts and was always a little paranoid, so I
put up an ecto-energy sensor in all my labs, and they went off at the time of
the attack. The ghost took out the cameras, but I have a short clip of the
ghost who did it." He said as he laid them to a screen that showed Shego on it.
-
"That's not a ghost,
that's just Shego." Ron spoke up, this time getting the attention of Mr. Masters.
-
"You've dealt with this
specter before?" Mr. Masters asked, surprised.
-
"Well, yeah. Ron's right
though. Shego's not a ghost, she's a human that has superpowers. No
intangibility or flight or anything." Kim told the CEO
-
"If you say so, but my
ecto-sensors did go off, that I'm certain." Mr. Masters said as he led the two
teens to the scene of the crime.
-
The scene had ripped
wires and broken pipes surrounding a large hole. Kim took out her communicator.
"Hey Wade, can you scan around for any energy signatures that match what Shego
uses?" She asked her computer kid.
-
"Sure Kim." Wade said and
a prehensile wire camera came out of the communicator and scanned the whole
lab, including Mr. Masters, and found traces of Shego's energy on all of the
broken ends of the wires and pipes. "Got something. It was definitely Shego.
I'll look for Drakken's lair now." Wade said as he hung up.
-
"Well Mr. Masters, now we
will get to finding your laser as soon as we can." Kim told the gray-haired
man, who was talking on the phone with someone excitedly. "Mr. Masters, we
can't promise that the laser will come back in perfect condition or at all.
When we go to retrieve things, there is usually a fight." She explained to the
man, who just nodded and gave her a signal to stand there. Kim didn't like
that.
-
After Mr. Masters hung up
his phone, he spoke up. "That's no problem, I was planning to dismantle it soon
anyway it was time to do some checkups." He waved off her concern. "Now, I
wanted to talk to you about another job that I am more than willing to pay you
for. I would like you to catch some ghosts for me in Amity Park." Mr. Masters'
grin looked feral as he looked at the duo.
-
"I'm sorry sir, but we
don't hunt ghosts." Kim told him.
-
"Yeah, you should call on
the Fenton Works people. They are the resident ghost hunters in the area." Ron
spoke up and Kim cringed internally.
-
Mr. Masters' smile didn't
waver, but his eye twitched. "Apologies, but that cannot happen. Jack Fenton
was the cause of an accident I had in college and will not cooperate with him
at all." He said in a strained voice. "Are you sure you cannot catch some of the
ghosts in your area?" He asks in a voice that meant it as a demand.
-
"Sorry again, dude, but
the ghost hunting is relegated to either Fenton Works or the new resident ghost
hero Phantom." Ron said, pleased with himself that he didn't reveal Danny's
identity.
-
"We have no way to
contact him though." Kim added as Mr. Masters led them out of the building
-
"Shame to hear that. If
you do, could you pass on the job offer?" Mr. Masters didn't seem surprised to
hear about a ghost hero.
-
"We can, but we can't
guarantee that he'll accept." Kim told him as Her and Ron left the building and
got ready to head back to Middleton.
=
Kim was sitting on her
bed looking at a Club Banana catalog and sighing. 'I really want this jacket,
but I don't have enough money for it. Maybe I can get Dad to get it for me.'
She thought to herself.
-
"Kim, I have bad news."
Wade popped up on Kim's computer
-
"No kidding. I cannot
afford this jacket." Kim said in exasperation.
-
"I know. I pulled up your
bank account. You're broke, but that's not the bad news." Wade said to the
redhead.
-
"Apparently, the bad news
is that my friend who runs my website is hacking into my account." Kim got a
look of utter shock and then suspicion. "Have you peeked at my diary?"
-
Wade gasped in
indignation. "Of course not! Anyway, the bad news is that I got a similar
reading from Mr. Masters yesterday that I got from Danny. Mr. Masters is a
Halfa." Wade revealed.
-
"That could be major
bad." Kim said in worry of her friend.
-
"Not as bad as when you
used the boys' room by accident." Wade tried to lighten the mood.
-
"Wade, nobody saw that."
Kim said with a look of surprise, then turned angry. "You have been looking at
my diary!" She was going to yell at him but got a group call from Danny.
-
"Good luck telling the
Fentons. Bye." Wade quickly hung up to avoid being yelled at.
+
Danny is looking at his
B- on one of his homework papers while he was on a call with Tucker, Sam, Ron
and Kim. "What should I do? I've never gotten a B- before." Danny conferred
with his friends.
-
"Dude, I don't see what
the big deal is. You're most definitely passing the class." Ron spoke up.
-
"Danny sort of has an
inferiority complex when it comes to grades." Tucker told the two new friends.
-
"Yeah, that happens when
you have two parents with doctorates and an older sister who's already taking
college classes." Sam added to what Tucker said.
-
"Jazz is already taking
college classes? Dang, sorry Danny." Ron apologized to his half dead friend.
-
"You could try extra
credit? Lancer I think listed some options online that you could take." Kim
suggested.
-
"That sounds like a good
idea. I'll check what's available." Tucker said as he hit a bunch of buttons on
his keyboard. "All that's left is to Research and Observe the Purple-Backed
Gorilla at Casper Zoo."
-
"Gorillas! Where?" Ron
exclaimed in fear and hid somewhere under his camera.
-
"What was that about?"
Sam asked, confused as to why Ron acted that way.
-
"Ron has had a fear of
anything Primate since he went to a summer camp. Camp Wannaweep." Kim explained
to the others.
-
"Don't mention that awful
place." Ron said as he came back into frame. "I don't want to be reminded of
that place."
-
"Well, I guess that it is
good news that that camp was shut down after finding out the lake was toxic, as
well as all the other camps it shared the lake with." Tucker said, doing some
research on the place.
-
"Anyways, I'll do the
research on the Purple-Backed… Zoo creature. Do any of you want to come with me
to observe it?" Danny asked, knowing that Ron wouldn't come. He got
affirmatives from everyone even if Ron's was forced through Kim. Danny looked
up the extra credit options and accepted the Purple-Back option. "Anyone else
have anything to say? While we're here and all?"
-
"Actually yeah, I was
looking at a Club Banana catalog and realized that I needed a job. Anyone have
any ideas?" Kim asked the group, who took a few minutes to think of
something.
-
"Maybe my parents could
hire you." Danny offered to the redhead. "You are going to fight any of the bad
ghosts that you encounter anyway. Might as well get paid by the resident ghost
hunters." He explained his reasoning.
-
"Yeah, and they already
accept that you and Ron go off to do missions, so I don't think they'll fire
you for that." Tucker said to get them to agree.
-
"I'll think about it. I
need to go down for breakfast. Signing off." She said as she hung up. Everyone
hung up quickly after her for the same reason.
-
Danny groaned as he
stretched his still sore body from yesterday's fight with Skulker. He stretched
his body before going down to get his own breakfast. He walked downstairs to
find his parents sitting at the table with Scylla and Charybdis. There was a
plate already set up for Danny as he sat down across from them. Danny got the
suspicion that something was going on.
-
"We're sorry for every
'Molecule by Molecule' comment, son, but that doesn't give you the right to
stay out all night." Jack said as Danny started to eat.
-
"He wasn't out all night.
He came back only a few hours after he left." Scylla told them.
-
"We just didn't tell you
because you were still coping with all the ectophobic comments you made."
Charybdis added to what Scylla said as they ate some fruit.
-
"Yeah, I got into a fight
with a Spirit and went along with the patrol after I won that fight." Danny
told his parents. Maddie looked worried while Jack looked proud at the won
comment. "It wasn't that bad. And I only won through short circuiting his technological
suit." He explained to his parents to even out their emotions.
-
"Yes, he only got hit
once." Everyone was startled when Aranea appeared in the kitchen. "After that
he adapted quickly and won his first one on one fight. Short circuiting the
suit still counts as a win." He said to his protege.
-
"Did you do the job that
I asked of you already?" Danny asked, knowing it would be a few hours.
-
"Yes Phantom. There were
plenty of Ghosts and Spirits around the area of the portal. Although, my introduction
might cause you harm in the future. I can give you or your parents the files on
them if you wish." Aranea offered as he pulled out a stack of files out of his
cloak.
-
"Yes. Work with my
parents as they work to put together a database of all the ghosts you met. Can
you organize it from how you feel I could go against them? That seems like a
good idea for a first organization for the database. We can go with allies and foes
later." Danny told his mentor and parents and finished eating.
-
"Very well, Phantom. I'll
work with your parents to organize the profiles in a fashion as to how I think
you can take them in a fight. That is a good first edition before meeting
them." Aranea said with a small smile on his face.
-
"Very well, we'll do that
with Aranea as you are at school." Maddie said as her son and his emotional
support octopi left for school, meeting Tucker and Sam at the front door.
=
Danny, Tucker, and Sam
were walking up to the school, finding Kim and Ron waiting for them. "Hey Kim,
Ron." Danny greeted them. "What are you doing out here?" He asked as they
walked up to them.
-
"We just wanted to talk
to you before we went into the school building." Kim said to the raven-haired
boy.
-
"I don't know what is up
with Kim, but it has to be big. She has been fidgeting the whole time we were
waiting for you." Ron explained, earning a glare from Kim.
-
"It's sorta about the
mission we went on yesterday. It was for Vlad Co." Kim told Danny, who
froze.
-
"What'd you find out?"
Danny asked to the confusion of the others.
-
"Wade found out
that Mr. Masters had an ecto-signature as he went over some scans we got
yesterday when Shego and Drakken stole a laser from him." Kim explained to the
halfa child.
-
"I don't really know what
she is talking about, but he also said he had ecto-sensors that said Shego was
a ghost." Ron said to the group, which surprised team phantom.
-
"That's true. He kept on
insisting that she was a ghost. He also wanted us to catch some ghosts for him
and when we directed him to Fenton Works, he said Jack caused his accident."
Kim said after Ron moved to stand with Tucker and Sam.
-
"We should probably fill
them in on everything we learned yesterday. It felt like so much longer." Danny
said and both of them did exactly that.
-
"That's crazy!" They each
said, if only a variation of it.
-
"We know. But with what
Wade found, it could definitely be true. And I don't think he'll be friendly."
Kim told them as the bell rang for them to hurry into their classes.
-
"We'll talk more about it
after school." Danny said as they all went into the school building.
=
Danny, Tucker, Sam, Kim,
and Ron were sitting at their table at lunch. They wanted to go to the roof,
but it would be suspicious if they didn't show up for lunch every day.
-
"When are we going to the
zoo?" Tucker asked, pulling out his PDA.
-
"I was planning after
school, I don't really know their hours." Danny informed him while reviewing a book obtained from the school
library on the Purple-Backed Gorilla.
-
"I'm fine with that.
Better to do it sooner than later." Kim said, leaning over to look at what
Danny was reading.
-
"I'm free after school as
well. Sam, Ron, are either of you free for after school?" Tucker asked as he
typed the time into his PDA.
-
"I'm free. I'm not
psyched that we're going to see… the animal I will not say, but I'll still go."
Ron said, having a hard time to even say 'Gorilla'.
-
"I can't. My parents are
forcing me to go dress fitting. We're not even going anywhere; they just don't
like what I wear." Sam ranted shortly.
-
"Sorry about that Sam.
Maybe we can go shopping to find you some clothes you like tomorrow?" Kim
offered in sympathy to her goth friend.
-
"Uh, Thanks Kim. I'd
appreciate that." Sam told the redhead, not expecting her to try and comfort
her.
-
"Okay, so that's four
going to the zoo after school. Are we stopping to eat anything before we go?"
Tucker asked as he finished typing out the details.
-
"Ooh, if we do, can it be
Bueno Nacho? I've wanted to show you my new creation I made there." Ron said,
bouncing in his seat.
-
"Fine, I'll just get some
nachos." Tucker said with a grimace, the food did not sit well with him.
-
"I heard that they were
going to start selling salads." Kim said, trying to not escalate the situation.
"You could try that if you want."
-
"Yeah, I heard that they
were more or less forced to have vegan options on their menu." Ron said. Danny
and Tucker were looking at Sam with glares.
-
"Wasn't me this time."
Sam defended herself and her best friends believed her since she would always
take her credit for her work.
-
"Okay, we have the plan.
I'm gonna go feed and water Scylla and Charybdis." Danny said as he got up from
the table.
-
"No problem, we can
just eat in your bag." Scylla said in a whispered Gholric.
-
"Yeah, just put your
bag under the table." Charybdis suggested and Danny followed.
-
"I guess it's settled
now. They are just going to eat in my bag." Danny told his friends.
-
"That's right. They're
small enough to do that now." Sam said as she finished her food. "Should we
talk about what we were talking about before school now, since I won't be
available?" She asked, stacking her tray with Danny's.
-
Kim and Danny did exactly
that. They said that Vlad Masters was the person who was in the proto-portal
accident and that he may have gotten his vast fortune through using his ghost
powers. Wade chimed in and said that he couldn't find any illegal dealings when
buying out businesses and Danny said that Vlad could have possessed the people
to 'legally' do business. It was one power that Danny didn't really want to
test, being inside someone and controlling them.
-
"Dang. And that
revelation was right before the Dragon Royalty? A lot must have happened
yesterday morning." Tucker started. "I mean, you learn that you may have found
someone like yourself then get attacked by Medieval warriors before you can
even process it. And now you find out that he hates your father. Wow." Tucker
finished.
-
"Yeah. It sucks for me,
but what if he decides to attack my dad. Hey Wade, did you get a good enough
scan to get his ecto-signature?" Danny asked Kim's computer kid.
-
"Sorry Danny, I was
looking for Shego's energy signature, I was lucky to find out he even had
ecto-energy on him." Wade told the raven haired half ghost.
-
"That's fine. I know that
you all were on a mission." Danny assured him. "We just have to tell my parents
and hope everything will be fine until we know more. Maybe I'll have Aranea go
look over this Vlad Masters after he's finished with the database he's working
on with my parents." Danny explained as they all finished eating their food.
-
"Database?" Both Tucker
and Wade asked in unison as Ron left to put the trays up.
-
"You'll both get access
to it soon. I had Aranea gather some information on the Ghosts and Spirits that
are in the immediate area after I had a fight with a hunter Spirit." Danny then
explained his fight when Ron came back.
-
"Spankin. How did you get
behind Skulker that second time you charged in?" Kim asked after hearing the
story.
-
"I just used invisibility
and intangibility to fly behind him. It wasn't anything special. If anything, I
think Skulker was going easy on me to see how I would fight." Danny said,
making a fist on the table. "It's almost time to leave for our next class, I'll
talk more about it if any of you want later." He said after looking at the
time.
=
Danny, Tucker, Kim, and
Ron arrived at Bueno Nacho after Sam left to meet her parents.
-
"What do you all want to
eat? I'll go up and order." Tucker offered as they found a booth.
-
"A Naco my good man." Ron
said.
-
"A salad." Both Danny and
Kim said, they blushed and the others laughed as Tucker left to get the food.
-
"So, Danny, why didn't
you mention earlier that you fought a ghost?" Kim asked in a sickly-sweet voice
to hide her worry.
-
"I was going to tell you
before school, but you had something to say." Danny tried to defend himself.
-
"Why didn't you say
anything while we were on call? Either of you." Ron pointed to both Danny and
Kim. "Kim, you had known about everything you said outside of the school but
didn't say anything."
-
"It's better to say these
things in person." Kim told her blond friend.
-
"Yeah, and I was focused
on my grades when we were on call." Danny agreed with Kim.
-
"Maybe so, but we would
have gone through everything so much faster." Ron countered and neither Kim nor
Danny could refute that.
-
"I didn't want to worry
everyone while we weren't in person to check if I was okay." Danny said to the
two of them. "I already worried my mother, and she was right in front of me.
The only thing that cheered her up was getting her hands on data on various
Ghosts and Spirits." He explained as he saw Tucker coming back.
-
Tucker passed out
everyone's order and they paid him back. Kim had to cover Ron for part of his
price. They talked lightly as they ate.
=
Danny, Tucker, Kim, and
Ron arrived at Casper Zoo's habitat for the Purple-Backed Gorilla, which was
barren of any people or personnel watching it. The gorilla was in a cage in the
center of a bunch of seats with a sign saying his name was Sampson.
-
"That's horrible
treatment for such a beautiful creature." Danny said, feeling upset for the
animal.
-
"You're right Danny. But
we can't do anything right now." Kim told her raven haired friend. "Why is such
an endangered creature in Amity Park anyway?" She asked, confused why it wasn't
in a specialized facility.
-
"According to the book I
was reading at lunch, the one who discovered them was a resident of Amity Park
and wanted one to always be here." Danny explained. "Especially now, as they
are near extinction. As there are only two left, both male." He pulled out the
book he was referencing. Danny had to dodge a rock thrown at him from the
cage.
-
Everyone looked at
Sampson's cage and found out that gorillas could glare.
-
"Told you Kim, all
monkeys are evil." Ron exclaimed as he hid behind Kim.
-
"He's a gorilla, not a
monkey." Danny corrected, which seemed to make Sampson look pleased. Danny
walked up to Sampson's cage and stood a few feet back. "May I know why you
decided to throw a rock at me, please?" He asked and to the astonishment of
everyone in the current group, Sampson laid back and spread his legs. They
didn't see what they expected.
-
"How did the Zoo miss
that?" Kim asked as Danny wrote down that Sampson was actually Delilah. "I
mean, it should have been obvious."
=
After Danny talked to zoo
personnel about his discovery, the group started to leave after all of the
personnel had left when Danny's ghost sense went off. "Kim, tell Wade that
he'll need to erase or cut off the cameras around here."
-
"Hello again Phantom."
Skulker lowered himself in front of the group of teenagers as Kim was doing
what Danny said.
"Hello Skulker. How
have you been? Sorry about before, I'd rather like my life." Danny told the
spirit as he transformed and got ready to fight. Everyone else hid themselves
in case any of the personnel saw them together.
-
"I've been good. Don't
worry about protecting yourself. I am trying to kill you. It also wouldn't be
so exciting if you were an easy catch." Skulker said as he steadied a laser
on the ghost boy.
-
When it fired off, Danny
matched it with his own ecto-ray and blocked the blast from hitting him.
-
"Impressive."
Skulker complimented.
-
"Thanks. I didn't even
know that would work." Danny said to his enemy. "Will you harm my
friends after killing me?" He asked, worried about his friends.
-
"They are allowed to join
the fight as well, you know." Skulker switched to English for the humans in his
presence. Not giving him a real answer.
-
"Good to know." Kim
yelled as she jumped onto Skulker and punched him with the ecto-gauntlets. The
punches didn't seem to be doing anything to the hunter spirit.
-
They have not been doing
anything, but they were quite the distraction for Danny to rush in and blast
Skulker point blank in his chest. Kim then decided to jump off right before the
blast went off. The blast left a hole in Skulker's chest to reveal that it was
a suit. Tucker then came out with the Fenton Thermos and sucked him in, but
Skulker resisted as his suit repaired itself.
-
"Good teamwork. Truly,
but you'll need more than that if you want to stop me." Skulker said as if he
punched Danny away.
-
'You two can come out
whenever you want.' Danny thought to Scylla and Charybdis as he did the same
trick he did yesterday but only went invisible and blasted off an arm with the
laser cannon coming out of it. Danny then used his telekinesis to pull it
behind him as he flew away.
-
Skulker followed after
Danny as Tucker tried to use the thermos again, but only on the broken part of
Skulker. This prevented the growth of a new arm. "Phantom! Keep attacking his
side." Tucker yelled out as he kept on using the thermos.
-
"On it!" Danny yelled
back as he turned around and flew back at Skulker and blasted again at the
wounded area of his body. It worked and took off his head that got sucked into
the thermos screaming.
-
Skulker's body then fell
limp and crashed onto the ground. Tucker was about to suck up the body, but Kim
stopped him. "We could have Wade or the Fentons' scan it and learn more about
ghost technology." Tucker nodded and put away the thermos.
-
"Plus, if we sucked up
his body right after his head, he might get his power back and break out of the
thermos." Ron spoke up after leaving his hiding spot.
-
"Ron and Kim's right.
Scylla, you and Charybdis take this body to Fenton Works and tell them to scan
and study the tech when they have time." Danny told his ectopi, who hadn't
joined the fight for whatever reason that he'll be asking about later.
-
Scylla and Charybdis took
the body and arm and flew off, turning invisible as they did so. Danny turned
back into a human and grabbed his stuff and the group left the scene
quickly.
=
The group made it to
Fenton Works to hear loud noises coming from the lab. They made their way down
to find Maddie and Jack working on Skulker's body suit. The chest compartment
was open, and its innards were laid about the lab.
-
"Hey mom, dad, how do you
like the present?" Danny asked as he stepped between Kim and Tucker, getting
flashes of them vivisecting him. Tucker grabbed his arm.
-
Kim saw Tucker grab
Danny's arm and put an arm in front of him. "Yeah, Danny worked hard to protect
us after he attacked us at the Zoo." She said, mostly to Danny, but directed at
the ghost hunters.
-
Scylla and Charybdis came
and landed on Danny's shoulders. "Sorry for not helping with Skulker. We
were running from him when you found us." The ectopi explained in unison,
leaving Danny to wonder how special these two were. Danny tried to pat them on
top of their heads, but it was awkward with being between Kim and Tucker and
Tucker holding onto one of his arms.
-
"We love it. It's going
to take a while to figure it out, if at all, so you all probably shouldn't be
down here." Maddie said to the group of teenagers.
-
"Yeah, also, we gave that
Wade kid access to the Ghost and Spirit Database, so just talk to him about
that." Jack told them as he fiddled with an arm cannon.

"Okay." Danny told them.
"Hey, would it be possible to hire Kim and Ron as ghost hunters? They need a
job and they're gonna be with me for a bunch of ghost fights anyways, plus you
know about their hero work all over the world." He tried to get their attention
for his friends.
-
"We'll need to talk to
their parents before we make that call." Jack told his son.
-
"Yeah, I don't know how
they allow their children to go globetrotting and would like to talk about that
with them, I want to know how to cope with your hero work Danny." Maddie said
to her son as she picked up a glowing piece of technology that looked like an
arc reactor
-
"You can talk to my
parents this weekend during dinner if you want." Kim offered, liking her
chances of getting that jacket. "You'll have to lockdown the lab during that
because of my little brothers, they'll destroy everything in here." She said to
her friend's parents that her friend was doing his best to hide behind her.
-
"Jazz and I'll make sure
of that if they don't." Danny told her, just now realizing that he was behind
her and Tucker.
-
"You and I'll do what?"
Jazz said as she came down to the lab, noticing Danny hiding behind Kim.
-
"Lock up the lab for
dinner with the Possibles." Tucker answered for his best friend
-
"Oh, yeah. We'll
definitely do that. Don't want another portal accident here." Jazz reminded her
parents as she came up from behind Danny and hugged him. " safe.>" She whispered into her brother's ear.

Both Fenton parents froze
at that statement as the kids left the lab. Maddie had tears in her eyes and
Jack handed her a tissue to her. "We won't let that happen again." Jack told
his wife as he held her close to his body.
-
"Oh God!" Maddie
exclaimed as she pushed herself away from her husband. "We weren't studying
this as tech, but as a ghost to dissect." She made the realization. "What if
Danny was testing us on how we treat Ghosts and Spirits by sending us this body
suit of a spirit?" She asked Jack as she looked over the body once more.
-
Jack was frozen at that
question. He was in the mindset of dissection while looking over the body. It
was just technology from what he saw, and he didn't put it together that it
came from a 'living' spirit. "I-I don't know Mads. I didn't even think that
this came from something that could be considered living." He told his wife as
tears started to form in his own eyes.
-
"We really need to change
our way of thinking, or Danny will stay afraid of us no matter what." Maddie
said resolutely and her husband nodded along.
