Chapter 1 - The Echoes of Ambariya

In reality, my sister didn't know much about the romance genre; she was just writing blindly.

After all, when you are under the pressure of churning out two to three chapters a day, you don't have the luxury of overthinking.

The concept of *"Quantity over Quality"*... well, rather than just telling you, it's better to show you. As we break through the dark, cold fog, the sky finally reveals itself.

Welcome to **'The Land of Praya'**. No matter the season, a thick layer of mist always lingers here. No one knows why it blankets the city of **Ambariya**.

Moving across the street from *Son Alex College*, a boy sits on his 911 'Tatto' custom Bullet motorcycle. Etched from his elbow down to the back of his palm was a fierce **Chi Zhao Dragon** tattoo—a striking symbol of his dominance.

That boy is me. I am **Vijay**, a mere side character in this story.

Vijay wore a sleek black rider jacket over a half-white t-shirt, which left his intimidating tattoo on full display.

In the dense mist, his sharp green eyes resembled those of a wild beast. The college boys and girls immediately changed their paths the moment they spotted him.

Sitting with the bike parked on its side-stand, Vijay aggressively twisted the throttle of the turned-off motorcycle, his mind a chaotic mess of anger and confusion.

"What the hell?!" he barked out loud, desperate to vent his frustration.

A student walking past, unfamiliar with Vijay's reputation, flinched in terror and bolted away.

But Vijay couldn't care less. He muttered to himself, *'This is actually happening... I'm trapped inside a novel. And of all people, I've ended up inside a character who shares my own name!'*

"Yes, this is me now."

He recalled the events of this morning. Before waking up, he had no idea this would happen.

But when his eyes opened, his body, his home, his entire reality—everything had changed.

The only tethers to this new life were the dragon tattoo and his younger sister, **Pihu**. Slowly, the original Vijay's memories began to flood his mind.

*'I remember reading this exact web novel last night.

I fell asleep halfway through it, and when I woke up, I was here. I wanted to stay home today to make sense of everything, but the fragments of Vijay's memory warned me about an event taking place today. An event that's going to happen very soon. That's why I'm here.'*

Taking a few deep, grounding breaths, he finally regained control of his racing thoughts. His new body was incredibly well-built—built like a top-tier model.

Countless girls at school fawned over him, though the original Vijay never paid them any attention.

He had only one absolute goal: to find a cure for his sister, Pihu, who suffered from a mysterious, incurable illness.

*'In my real life, I had a sister too.

She had late-stage cancer.

I couldn't save her because I didn't have the money to afford her treatment in time. That was the day I realized that while money can't buy everything, you are utterly powerless without it.'*

*'My cousin sister didn't write Vijay and Pihu's tragic backstory to hurt me. She wrote it to show the profound agony of losing someone close to you.'*

A wave of melancholy washed over him. Shaking off the depressing thoughts, Vijay shifted his focus back to Pihu's condition.

*'In truth, Pihu isn't sick at all. The root cause is her unique constitution—which is actually a massive blessing if someone knows how to wield it.

The original Vijay knew nothing about this. A body like hers naturally accumulates an immense amount of Ki Energy, also known as Soul Energy.

If she doesn't learn to regulate it, the overwhelming pressure could kill her.

Pihu absorbs massive amounts of Soul Energy from her surroundings daily, but because she can't control it, the energy constantly leaks out, disrupting her internal flow and leaving her physically frail.'*

*'Mastering Ki Control allows a person's strength to grow exponentially over time—the more energy you command, the more powerful you become. In my sister's notes on 'Exception Control', she explicitly detailed how to manipulate Ki.

I can use this knowledge not only to completely heal Pihu, but also to make myself unstoppable.'*

Amidst the subtle warmth of the morning sun cutting through the fog, a vehicle approached the roadside. A premium, pitch-black business-style sedan pulled up and came to a halt a short distance away.

Instantly, Vijay's fierce, gangster-like aura vanished. A cold sweat broke out from his hairline and rolled down his neck. The car door clicked open, and a young man dressed in high-end designer clothing stepped out.

**Alex Vente.** He had a slender frame and a deathly pale, porcelain complexion, looking as though he lacked blood entirely.

Jet-black sunglasses masked his eyes, and his sharp, manicured nails looked lethal enough to tear a man to shreds.

*'Yeah, that's him—a Vampire,'* Vijay thought, his heart tightening. *'My sister might have kept this story under a single main genre, but she packed it with absolutely everything.'*

Vampires naturally possessed a hypnotic, royal aura that easily infatuated weaker minds.

A crowd of girls nearby instantly fell in love at first sight, though none of them possessed the courage to step into his personal space.

Vijay straightened his posture, stepping off his bike, and walked toward Alex. Alex glanced briefly at him before shifting his gaze toward the college gates. Channeling a piece of wisdom from his past life's hardships, Vijay reminded himself:

> *"When standing before someone immensely powerful, project weakness and vulnerability. It minimizes immediate manipulation and secures long-term survival."*

Stepping up to Alex's side, Vijay stood quietly. Alex didn't utter a single syllable. After a brief second of hesitation, Vijay spoke up—a phrase the original Vijay had likely never used before.

"Boss, Miss hasn't arrived yet," he murmured softly.

Despite the low volume, Alex's vampiric senses caught it perfectly.

A faint gleam flashed behind his dark sunglasses, unnoticeable to Vijay. Alex tilted his head slightly and let out a small smirk. On his flawless, marble-like face, that single smile was lethal enough to captivate anyone, regardless of gender.

Fortunately, Vijay's mind was already so overwrought with confusion that this subtle mental charm had absolutely no effect on him.

"You always know exactly what I want. I've always admired this trait of yours," Alex said, visibly pleased.

"It is my honor, Boss. But it was an easy deduction; I am nothing special," Vijay replied smoothly, his polite tone carrying a well-hidden layer of self-praise.

Alex frowned slightly, feeling as though he might have slipped up by offering a compliment so easily.

Vijay subtly took a step back, wanting to maintain his distance. He didn't want Alex picking up on any sudden changes in his demeanor.

Standing a step behind him, Vijay began recalling the lore surrounding Alex and the mysterious 'Miss'—whose name was **Soniya**.

Alex had once failed a crucial vampire ritual, causing a volatile demonic essence to leak and spread throughout his body. When he first laid eyes on Soniya, everything changed.

(In this world's lore, vampires carry a strict curse: if a vampire and a human conceive a child, there is only a 1-in-100 chance the child will be born a vampire, and a 1-in-1000 chance it will be human.

However, if a demonic essence is present, the birth results in a **Dhampir**—a hybrid entity feared by both species).

The moment Alex had encountered Soniya, that dormant demonic essence had struck his heart, planting the irreversible seeds of obsession.

In the original plot, this forbidden attraction was destined to lead them both to a tragic, fatal end...
