Chapter 25 - Chapter 17(Part 8)

Title: Kamisume vs Sisu

Shinji: One day, the Nation of Steel and the Nation of Prosperity went to war over water rights. The Nation of Steel was not receiving enough water and repeatedly asked Prosperity to release more. But Prosperity, struggling with low water themselves, refused every request. After multiple failed negotiations, Steel declared war.

Sisu led 20,000 soldiers, while Kamisume commanded 14,000. Both armies met at the border. But the moment Sisu's soldiers saw Kamisume standing there, they panicked and fled. Kamisume's soldiers did the same upon seeing Sisu. Every single soldier abandoned the battlefield, knowing that if they stayed, Kamisume would kill Sisu's men—and Sisu would annihilate Kamisume's.

Only two figures remained on the field: Kamisume and Sisu. Neither could retreat.

Kamisume struck first. Sisu didn't flinch. Sisu retaliated with one of his strongest attacks. Kamisume blocked it, but the impact still hurt him. Officially, the battle had begun. Friends though they were, they were fighting for their nations.

The battle lasted for weeks, shaking all of Heila. Legendary and mythic eye wielders tried to enter the battlefield using their powers, but the quakes and waves of energy forced them back. Organizations sent soldiers to intervene, but none could reach the center; the density of Cyan and Magenta energy was impenetrable. Forbidden zones sprang up across the land, strange and powerful—so potent that they still exist today.

People even tried sending birds carrying notes into the battlefield, each with "Please stop it" written on them. No one knows what happened to those birds during their flight.

Meanwhile, opportunistic nations took advantage of the chaos and invaded both Steel and Prosperity. The Nation of Steel lost approximately 3.4% of its land, while the Nation of Prosperity lost about 7.6%.

Sisu and Kamisume fought relentlessly for two weeks. Eventually, they realized that continuing the battle would only harm their national interests. Sisu attempted to reason with Kamisume, but Kamisume remained fully focused. Using his power, Sisu sealed Kamisume for six seconds to communicate. Kamisume understood, and both sides agreed to a peace treaty. Water began flowing equally between the nations.

Though they could not reclaim the land lost to other invading nations, the battle itself entered history as the deadliest in recorded human history.

Shinji: And with that… these are all the battles that truly deserve to be remembered.
