Jay's POV
After the bell rang, obviously all the monkeys started jumping around — including my brothers, except the smartest one… Aries.
Kiefer looked like a heavy weight had been lifted off his chest. He was smiling and laughing like before.
Cin: "Jay, can I ride your bike?"
"Uh… where are you guys going to stay?" I asked.
Percy: "That's the surprise, baby sis. They're going to stay at our house tomorrow. They'll shift to their condos later, but Kiefer, Kiegan, Kaire, and Aries will live with us."
"Oh… so that was the surprise. Good," I said.
Suddenly, my phone rang.
Grandpa.
I picked it up.
Gp: "Kid, how are you?"
"I'm good, Pa. We're heading home. How's Ma?"
Gp: "She's good. She's missing you all."
"How's Aion?"
"I'm not home yet, Pa. He must've come back from the picnic. Don't worry."
Gp: "Take care. Call me when you reach home."
"Okay. Bye."
Percy: "This old man doesn't even rest while on a trip. Still poking his nose everywhere."
Jas: "Behave. He's an elder."
Kiefer: "Who were you talking about?"
"Grandpa," I said.
Suddenly, Ama called me.
Ama: "Jay, Lia, Jas — thank you so much. Ethan isn't messing with me anymore. It's only because of you guys."
"No need to thank us," I said.
Lia: "Yeah, we're friends."
Jas: "Just tell us if he messes again."
Ama: "Haha, bye."
"Come on, Cin. Let's go."
Cin: "Don't drive fast or I'll fly away!"
"Don't worry, you won't," I said.
Jas: "Ahh, Lia, come with me."
Dane: "Some of you can come with me."
Percy: "Whole gang, listen! Come with me. Give your cars to Section E."
Aries: "Fine. Here you go."
Kiefer: "Edrix, take mine."
Yuri: "Take the keys."
Percy: "Jay!"
"Huh?"
Percy: "Take the old route."
"Why? It'll take more time."
Percy: "Road construction."
Jas: "How long will they keep constructing roads? This is the third time already."
"Fine. Old route it is," I said.
On the way…
Cin: "Jay, slow down!"
"Come on, you're not a kid anymore."
Cin: "Still!"
Jas: "Hi kid, how does it feel riding the world's fastest bike?"
Lia: "Jay, save me! I'm really going to fly away. Your BFF will be gone forever!"
Percy: "You won't. You're the heavy queen of destruction."
Lia: "SHUT UPPPPP!"
Aries: "Jay, why did you send me with this guy? He's so self-obsessed."
Yuri: "Exactly. We've spent only fifteen minutes with him and we're already exhausted."
Percy: "You guys are just jealous of my handsomeness."
Kiefer: "Shut up, ugly."
They were irritating me, so I sped up my bike.
Cin: "Woooohoooo!"
Edrix: "Next time, I'll ride with you, Jay!"
I passed them.
Cin: "How far is your house?"
"Two minutes. We're almost there," I said.
We all reached — me first, then Jas and the others.
Lia: "I nearly died."
Aries: "This is what you call a house? This is a villa, Jay."
Percy: "Obviously. Keep the habit — you're rich too."
Felix: "It's huge… and beautiful."
Jas: "Where are the guards?"
Exactly what I was thinking.
"Come on, let's go."
