Chapter 93 - CHAPTER 93:Class Bus

KAYLA'S POV:

After lunch break, I was sitting on one of the long rows of chairs lined up in the classroom, squeezed shoulder to shoulder with the others while a few more students sat behind us.

I had both hands stretched out in front of me, gripping an imaginary steering wheel.

I turned it dramatically.

"Vroooom."

I even made a sharp turn sound under my breath as I leaned to the side.

From the corner of my eye, I saw Theo walk up and stop beside me. He stared for a moment, clearly questioning every life choice that had led him to be friends with me.

He frowned. "What are you doing?"

I didn't even look at him. "Driving. Can't you see?"

He blinked.

I twisted my invisible wheel again, fully committed to the role.

"We're in a bus," I explained with complete seriousness. "And I'm dropping everyone off at their homes."

Theo slowly nodded like he was trying to be supportive of a mentally unstable child.

"…Right."

I ignored his judgment and continued my route.

I leaned forward and announced loudly, "Sevi, your stop is here. Your home has arrived. Please get off the bus in an orderly manner."

A few students burst into laughter.

Sevi, sitting nearby, pointed at himself. "My stop?"

"Yes," I said, waving one hand grandly toward the invisible bus doors. "Get out. Next passenger."

"I hate you," he muttered, but he was laughing too.

I rang an imaginary bell. "Next stop: Theo's house. Unfortunately, no pets allowed."

Theo gave me a deadpan look. "I'm literally standing next to you."

"Then walk home," I said.

He scoffed. "You're insane."

I grinned. "And yet, here you are riding my bus."

Before he could answer, the classroom door burst open and Leon finally walked in like a hero returning from war.

In his hands were the pizzas we had all ordered.

The entire class lit up instantly.

"FINALLY!"

"You took forever!"

"I thought you got kidnapped!"

Leon rolled his eyes and lifted the pizza boxes like they were treasure. "Relax. The line was long."

Honestly, we had all been starving.

Since our teachers had gotten into an accident and our class was dismissed early, we were basically unsupervised for a while. Which, naturally, meant absolute chaos.

No lessons.

No discipline.

Just freedom.

And pizza.

The sacred combination.
