Faye Vaughn turned to Finn Hawthorne and asked innocently, "What should we do?"
Finn Hawthorne saw how she had bitten her lips until they were a vibrant red, her gaze shimmering like ripples on water. His heart couldn't help but skip another beat.
'No way,' he thought. 'I'm not letting my brother get her so easily tonight!'
"We're finding another place!"
Finn Hawthorne decided instantly.
He led Faye Vaughn back to the hotel's parking garage and drove out onto the road.
Seeing him drive further and further off the main roads, Faye Vaughn asked doubtfully, "Finn, where are you taking me?"
Finn Hawthorne steered with one hand, glancing over at her. "Scared now, are you?"
Faye Vaughn shook her head. "It doesn't matter where you take me. Your brother will definitely find me."
Her words only fueled Finn Hawthorne's competitive spirit.
He sneered. "You really think you're that important to my brother? That he'd tear the city apart looking for you?"
