"Think clearly about what?"
Finn Hawthorne asked subconsciously, barely pausing to think.
"About the consequences of touching me."
Faye Vaughn's voice was soft and sweet. Her fingertip pressed against him for just a moment before pulling away.
Finn Hawthorne regained a sliver of his senses. "What consequences are you talking about?"
Faye Vaughn tilted her head slightly, meeting his faintly burning gaze. "I'm stubborn. When I was with your big brother, I wanted to marry him. If you really want to be with me, you'll have to marry me."
Finn Hawthorne's handsome brows furrowed.
'Marry her?'
'Putting aside what Big Brother would do, there's no way Grandpa would ever approve.'
'Faye Vaughn's background is no good, not to mention her past with Big Brother. If he dared to propose marrying her, Grandpa would surely get angry enough to break his legs.'
"What's so great about marriage?"
