When Faye Vaughn heard him, her eyes lit up and her sweet smile returned. "Mr. Shaw, you're so kind."
Zane Shelby scoffed. 'She's putting on an act again.' Still, he was a sucker for it.
"Relax, Wyatt Hawthorne isn't dead," Zane Shelby said lazily, his voice laced with a teasing tone.
Faye Vaughn ignored his teasing and pressed on, "And what about Liam Linden?"
"He's not dead either." Zane Shelby praised him with a flicker of interest, "That kid's got some skills."
Faye Vaughn put on a look of mock annoyance. "Mr. Shaw, could you please just tell me everything at once? You're keeping me on pins and needles."
"The explosion was just a ploy Liam Linden orchestrated to get away."
Zane Shelby stopped keeping Faye Vaughn in suspense and told her what he'd found out.
Liam Linden had used going to the restroom as an excuse to plant a miniature bomb. By the time it went off, he had already climbed out the men's restroom window and into the adjacent storage room.
